Hirami ground her teeth, trying to keep her anger in check. Morri was just making fun of her...sisterly teasing...no reason to......

"Ichigo?"

He turned to her, looking mildly interested. "Yeah, Hirami?"

"Kill her for me, will you?"

"N-n-n-NANI?!!"

"Well, I can't kill her, she's my little sister." She replied as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. "But you can. So go at it, big boy! It'll give you a chance to use that mask thingy of yours! You haven't used it since that fight with that one Arrancar, right? When we were rescuing Inoue-San? Eto...what was his name again? Grassjaw? Criggjow?"

"Grimmjow." Rukia offered.

"Yeah, that's it! Anyway, I'm sure that mask is the kind of thing that needs to be used frequently. So why not air it out? Come on, what's the harm?"

"Hirami! I am not going to kill your sister!!"

She just sighed, smiling. "Fine, fine. It was a joke. You can relax."

He did so. And visibly.

Then she added "If anyone's gonna do her in, it'll be me!" Which made him jump up again.

Rukia cleared her throat to get their attention. "We've all gone off subject again. So," She began, taking out her Soul Pager. "Are any of you going to call Renji, or shall I?"
PostPosted: Sat May 17, 2008 7:21 pm

"I will, Rukia," Morri offered.
She took out her Shinigami-issued phone and dialed Renji's number. He answered on the third ring, sounding a bit sleepy and disoriented.
"Hello?"
"Hello Renji," Morri said sweetly.
"Morri!" He sounded awake now. "I thought you might still be mad at me..."
"A little," she admitted. "But I'm willing to let it go if you will and be friends again."
"Great!" he answered. "Er...I don't suppose Hirami's ready to forgive me yet, is she?"
"I don't know," Morri said. "I...don't think so."
"Of course not," he said, sounding a bit disappointed, then changed the subject. "So, to what do I owe this call? I'll buy that you want to be friends again, but that's not the only reason you called, is it?"
"No," Morri admitted. Why lie? "Actually, we need your help."
"Help with what?" Renji said a little too quickly, sounding instantly worried. "And who's 'we'? Are you okay?"
Morri smiled, though she knew he couldn't see it. "We're fine," she said. "Everyone's fine. But we seem to have a slight problem here...a very unique problem."
"Explain," he said, sounding confused.
"Me, Rukia, Hirami, and Ichigo are standing in Karakura Town right now with a rather odd group of...people." She almost said 'humans', but that wasn't right.
"Advent humans?" Renji asked.
"Not exactly," she said. "One says he's a demon, two are half demons, one is a robot, two are Exorcists, and a few are apparently mafia. All of them seem to be either from different worlds or different time periods than this one."
Renji was silent for a long moment. "I would ask if you were kidding, but I don't think you are... How did they get there?"
"We don't know," she said. "They don't know either."
"Okay," he said. "So, what can I do for you?"
Mine and Hirami's gate passage is restricted, Rukia doesn't have the authority to open one, and Ichigo can't. We need to take these people to Seireitei and see if Kurotsuchi's Division can work on how to get them back home. We need a gate, and Hell Butterflies."
"Done," he said. "Give me fifteen minutes, and I'll get you a gate. I'll call you back for the exact number of Butterflies."
"Thanks, Renji," she said.
"Don't thank me yet," he said mischievously. "What do I get in return for helping you?" he asked teasingly.
"My undying gratitude?" she said. "And a hug?"
"That'll work," he said. "Anything else?"
She thought for a moment, then a slow, evil grin spread across her face. "For helping us...Hiramiwillgiveyouakiss, 'kaythanksbye!" she said quickly, then immediately hung up, but not before Renji heard an outraged cry from Hirami as Morri began to laugh like a madwoman.

"ICHIGO!" Hirami yelled, grabbing a fistful of his bright orange hair and yanking on it.

"OUCH! THAT ******** HURTS!!"

She ignored him, finishing "KILL HER! NOW!!"

"MAKE ME!"

"FINE, I WILL!!!"

"I'D LIKE TO SEE YOU TRY!!!"

"ICHIGO, IF YOU DO NOT KILL MY SISTER RIGHT NOW, I WILL BE FORCED TO CALL YORUICHI-SAN AND HAVE HER COME OVER HERE!!!"

"YEAH?! AND WHAT THE HELL IS SHE GONNA DO?!"

She just burst out into a devilish grin. "I can think of a few things. Let's not forget about your whole thing about naked women."

His face turned a profuse shade of deep crimson. "You wouldn't!"

Rukia looked at them askance. "Ichigo has a thing with naked women?"

"N-n-no!!" He yelled, shaking his head like his life depended on it. "It's not like - "

Hirami cut him off, laughing as hard as she could.

Allen sweatdropped. These people...were strange...

Lavi just blinked in confusion.
PostPosted: Sat May 17, 2008 8:02 pm

Morri laughed harder. "Don't even try it, Ichigo," she laughed, though she knew he wouldn't anyway. "I'm your sister too, through your link to Hirami. Besides, you like me, don't you? You wouldn't hurt me." She turned to Rukia. "As for his thing with naked women, it's not what you think. He turns bright red and freaks out like the uber-virgin he is."
"Hey!" Ichigo yelled.
"Shut up," Morri ordered, still laughing. "Another word and I'll flash you."

Tsuna and his little group just stared at the shinigami group all of them at a loss for words. "What's going on?" Tsuna thought as this situation was kinda like the crazy odd situations back in his world.

Saito just stared at them and stared to laugh. "He really didn't know these people but they made him laugh.
PostPosted: Sun May 18, 2008 6:59 pm

"Uhm, so..." Ichigo struggled to change the subject, his face still red. "Shouldn't Renji be calling back soon for the number of people?! Should we be doing a head count or something?!"

Rukia frowned. "That's a good idea. Instead of goofing off, we could be doing something useful. Ne?"

Hirami pouted at her. "Awww, but Rukie, goofing off and being useless is so much fun!"

She just sighed, waving a hand dismissively. "It doesn't matter, there's time for fun and there's time for business, and right now is a time for business. If we don't know how many people we have, we don't know how many Hell Butterflies we need, so we can't go through the Senkaimon."

"Oh, posh!" Hirami replied, "You just take all the fun out of life, you know that?"

"Eto...Rukia." Ichigo interrupted, scratching his head. "Don't we need to be in spirit form to go through the Senkaimon?"

She nodded. "Yes, Ichigo, we do."

Hirami clapped her hands. "I'm so proud of you, Ichi!"

Allen blinked. "Spirit form?"

"Oh, that's right! You've never seen a Shinigami out of their Gigai, have you?" Hirami smiled at him. "It's not really as bad as it sounds, trust me."

"Yare yare," Ichigo said, taking out his Substitute Shinigami crest. "Let's just do it so we can leave."

Rukia sighedi in exasperation, crossing her arms.

"What is it now?!"

"Ichigo, I thought I told you already not to rely on that crest so much. You can't just go leaving your body around wherever it drops! Imagine if someone were to call a hearse! You would be pronounced dead, and then you'd be buried, and your family would mourn for you. Then you would never be able to come back because they'd think you were dead!"

" 'Oh, Oto-San!' " Hirami said, impersonating Ichigo's little sister Yuzu. " 'How could Ichi-Nii have died and left us all alone?!' 'I don't know, Yuzu. But wherever he is, I hope he's in a better place.' Et cetera, et cetera."

He gave them both nasty looks, shoving the crest back into his pocket. "Then what do you suggest I do?"

Instead of replying, Rukia took off her backpack and dug around in it for a minute.

"Eh?" Ichigo raised an eyebrow. "What's - "

His speech was cut off as Rukia stuck Kon in his face.

Hirami laughed as both Ichigo and Kon spluttered and spat a few times, digging out her Gikongan dispenser. Rukia did the same. "Oh, Rukia? Are you still using that creepy Chappy thing?"

Rukia gave her a flabbergasted look. "Of course I am, Hirami! He's just the cutest!" She shoved the dispenser at Hirami.

"Ok, fine, if you say so! Frankly, I'll stick with Alfred any day, over that creepy rabbit, but whatever. To each his own." And she popped one of the pills into her mouth. Rukia did the same, and Ichigo dug in the struggling Kon's mouth until he found the pill, then swallowed that.

All three of them separated from their bodies with a whoosh of displaced air. Chappy landed on Rukia's feet, crouching close to the ground. Alfred hit the ground with Hirami's hands, arcing backwards into a somersault before landing on her feet. And Kon...fell on his a**.

Hirami rolled her shoulders, smiling in genuine bliss. "Ahh, this feels so good! That Gigai is so cramped, you know?"

(Waugh! Insanely hugely ridiculously long! x_x; )

Staring at them blankly Yamamoto was the first to speak up. "So do we have to become like that as well?" He asked them curiously as he looked at the Vongola ring on his finger and closed his eyes. "Or can we go in the way we are?" Tsuna gave a sigh as he had been wondering this the whole time. "I don't wanna let my spirit out." He thought to himself. "I've had way too many instances where it almost happened and I fear it may not want to come back next time." He thought a little worried.

Saito just looked at them and sighed. "Half demon is close enough to spirit right?" He asked as he really did not want some weird thing going inside his body.
PostPosted: Mon May 19, 2008 12:13 am

Morri smiled. "No, it'll be fine. In order for you to go in like us, you would have to be dead. Besides, if that were the case, I don't think we'd be able to take Chii, and I fully intend to see that you all get home in one piece."
She took her own Gikongan dispenser from a pocket in her skirt and swallowed a pill. Once out of her gigai, she turned to it.
"Take that bag to Hirami's apartment, then return home," she instructed it.
Her gigai nodded and smiled. "Understood, Morri-San," it said cheerfully, then walked off.
Mentally, she counted everyone, and came up with fourteen people, including herself, Hirami, Rukia, and Ichigo. Just as she got the number, Renji called.
"Hello again, Renji," she greeted.
"Hey Morri," he said. "Counted everyone yet? How many Butterflies do you need?"
"There are fourteen of us, Shinigami included," she said.
"I'll make sure there's enough sent through," he told her.
"Thanks, Renji," she said.
"No problem," he replied. "The gate should be opening up right about now, about a block from where you are."
"Okay," she answered, sensing the gate. "See you in a couple minutes."
She hung up and began leading the group towards the gate. Once there, she assigned a Hell Butterfly to each person, then turned to Hirami.
"Think we should go in groups, or all together, Nee-Chan?" she asked.

"Eto....." Hirami began, pretending to think about it. What she really wanted to say was 'Why the blooy hell are you asking me?!' But when Morri asked her a question like that...well, what kind of big sister would she be if she didn't answer with some authority? "I'd like to say as one group," The better to get lost in a crowd and not be seen by a certain person whose named started with an R... "But that would be chaos. So probably split everyone up into four groups, each with a Shinigami, and send them all through single-file. What do you think, Rukia? Questions? Comments? Concerns?"

Rukia shook her head. "Sounds like a good plan to me. Just let me get my stuff straight." She turned to her Gigai, who had followed them around the corner with a creepily cheerful look on it's face.

"Rukia-Sama?" It asked in a bubbly voice.

"Go back to Urahara's shop and tell him that we'll be in Soul Society for a bit. Ask him to take care of my things for a while and send a letter to Mister Kurosaki explaining that I'll be gone for a while. Tell him he can make it for whatever reason he wants." She instructed.

The Gikongan saluted, yelling "Understood, Rukia-Sama!" Before running off in the direction of Urahara Shoten.

Allen watched it go and said "That thing is a little creepy..."

Lavi nodded agreement. "A little."

Ichigo turned to Kon. "Kon."

Kon snapped to attention, obviously having not been paying attention up to this point. "H-h-hai?!"

"You need to go back to my house and pretend to be me for a little while. I don't know how long I'll be gone, so if it's longer than a couple days, tell everyone you're going away for a bit and get the hell out of my body. You can leave it at Urahara's."

"Neh-eh?!" Kon whined. "Pretending to be you is so boring! I have to be grumpy all the time, and you can't have any fun!"

Ichigo gave him a thunderous look. "Trust me, Kon. If it were up to me, I wouldn't ever let you in my body. Now go home!"

"Eh...fine, fine!" He replied, backing off before turning and heading around the corner muttering to himself.

Hirami looked at her Gigai. "Uhm....follow Chappy!"

It looked at her for a moment before saying "Hai, Hirami-Sama." And starting after Chappy.

"Ehhhhh?" Rukia said, crossing her arms. "And you said Chappy was creepy?"

"Actually..." Allen interjected hesitantly. "They're all kind of creepy."

Lavi nodded in agreement.
PostPosted: Mon May 19, 2008 10:10 pm

Morri laughed. "Personally, I agree with you," she said to Allen and Lavi. "They are creepy. But then again, they're not real people, just substitute souls to force us out of our gigai and make sure no one thinks we're dead. You'd think the Reasearch and Development Division would come up with something that acts more human after a few hundred years... Anyway, it can be problematic when someone calls the paramedics thinking we're dead. It generally leads to our bodies being autopsied in a morgue, then we need new ones, and try explaining that to the human world...gives me a headache just thinking about it. Can you imagine people thinking you're dead, then just showing up at school like nothing's wrong while everyone's freaking out?" She laughed again.
Chii tilted her head sideways. "Chii?" she said, confused. "They are not real people? Are they like me, then? Are substitute souls like Persecom?"
Morri giggled. "Maybe they are, a little," she agreed.
Inuyasha snorted. "Sounds a bit like demonic possession, if you ask me," he said.
Morri shrugged. "It is, in a way. Except we do it to ourselves, and it's reversible. And substitute souls aren't like demons, because they listen to us when we tell them to do something."
Sesshomaru quirked a pale eyebrow. "Not like possession at all, then," he said. "A demon posessing a human's body would not listen to anything it was told to do, nor would it simply leave should its original owner wish to reclaim it. The body, and the demon, would have to be killed."
Morri nodded. "Like I said, they're not like demons, but the possession of the body is real enough." She shook her head as if to clear it. "Anyway, back to business. Sesshomaru, Chii, with me. Gokudera, Tsuna, and Yamamoto, with Hirami. Ichigo, take Saito and Inuyasha. Rukia, Allen and Lavi are with you."

((I think my math may have been off in doing a head count...I re-counted all the non-Shinigami, and only came up with nine, and Hibari's not with them...so, adding the four Shinigami makes twelve, not fourteen >_< sweatdrop ))

[I'm taking a wild guess and say that Saito is going with Rukia and Yamamoto is sticking with Tsuna Gokudera and Hirami...]

Tsuna gave a small sigh as he looked down. "Reborn what would you do in this situation." He thought as he looked up and sighed. "Please be alive when I return." He thought to himself with a sigh as he took a deep breath and got himself ready. Putting on his white woolen mitts he put his hands in his pockets and took out two pills from the pill box Basil gave him. Keeping them in his hand he swallowed the growing lump in his throat and sighed. He was prepared. Looking at Gokudera and Yamamoto he instantly assumed command. "Guys get ready we don't know what awaits for us in there." He said as they nodded. Gokudera took out a box with a skull on it and gripped it firmly. "Ready boss." he said as Yamamoto took out Shigure Kintoki and swung it down transforming it into a sword. Looking at the ring on his finger he nodded. "Ready too Tsuna!.

Saito looked at the group and grinned. "So I'm stuck with the idiot and the.." he stopped as he looked at Inuyasha. "The Halfie." he said with a grin. Finally someone who was like him not full demon but not full human either. "Sup." He said as he put his hands on the back of his head and looked up at Inuyasha.

((********! D: I knew I was forgetting people! Dammit! And I ******** things up somewhere... >_< Curse my faulty memory/counting skills sweatdrop ...maybe I was right the first time... Good gods, I'm off this week... Maybe someone else should do a complete count, my head's all messed up...plus, I think I just totally gave myself another headache trying to figure out if that grouping is right, and I edited my last post...))

Inuyasha sniffed. If anyone else had called him a "halfie", he would have beat them to a bloody pulp, but by now he had realized Saito was a half-demon like himself.
"Nice not to be the only one for a change, isn't it?" Inuyasha commented.
The half-demon expected Sesshomaru to say something snide as usual, like "half-breeds" or "mutts" or something along those lines, but the dog demon remained silent for once, which in itself surprised Inuyasha.
Morri sighed, and began by sending Rukia's group first, then Ichigo's, followed by Hirami's group and then her own. Once everyone was on the other side, the gate closed, and Renji stood waiting with a small group of others, arms crossed. He smirked at Hirami, remembering Morri's promise, though he knew she would never kiss him simply because her sister said she would. He turned his attention to the darker-haired sister instead, uncrossing his arms and opening them in welcome.
"Morri-Chan!" he said with a smile. "So nice to see you."
Morri smiled back, walking up to him and hugging him as promised. "Good to see you too, Renji," she said.
When she stepped back, Renji turned to Rukia. "Rukia!" he called. "Don't I get a greeting from you too?"
Morri laughed and addressed the group of outsiders, who all seemed to be looking around with mixtures of confusion, curiousity, and a few other emotions on their faces.
"Everyone, this is Renji Abarai," she told them.

[lol it's alright? haha]
Saito looked at the Red-haired teen looking man and stifled a laugh. Staring at his ponytail and tattoos he could not hold it in much longer. Standing up straight he sighed and wiped the grin off his face as if nothing had ever happened.

Tsuna jumped back at the sudden laugh and looked at Saito with a scared expression. "He was just laughing!" He thought as he looked around no one had really noticed it or rather didn't care. "I saw nothing saw nothing." He muttered to himself over and over again.

Hibari just stared as a butterfly landed on his shoulder. Staring at it with a confused expression he watched as it started to fly away. Following it with a small smile he ended up at a portal. Staring at it he simply stepped in and soon found himself with a group. "What?" He said a little surprised. Looking at Tsuna he smiled. "if this is your doing then I will bite you to death." He said with a smile as he walked past him. "If you need me I'll be there." He said softly as he walked away.

Tsuna gave a sigh of relief when he heard what Hibari had said.

Gokudera was now talking to Yamamoto about these things. "Oi baseball fanatic." He said as Yamamoto smiled at him. "Yeah Gokudera?" he asked as Gokudera looked around them. "Do you really trust these people?" He asked suspiciously as Yamamoto shrugged. "I really don't know but it looks like there's no one else to consult so I guess we have to give them our trust mutually for now." He said as he looked at his Shigure Kintoki which was back into the bamboo sword with a sigh.

Chii walked up to stand beside Morri. "Morri-Sama, what is this place?" she asked innocently. "Chii has never seen a place like this."
"This is Soul Society, Chii," Morri answered. "This is where people go when they die."
"Die?" Chii said. "Like Freya? Is Freya in this place?"
Morri blinked in surprise. "I...don't know, Chii," she said. "Who is Freya?"
"Freya was Chii's sister," the Persecom answered. "Freya disappeared when Chii was still Elda. She was in a lot of pain...pain, because she loved someone she could never have. Chii kept her safe inside her until Chii found the one just for her, and that was Hideki. Is Freya here?"
Morri's eyes widened in sudden understanding. "Chii, was Freya a Persecom, like you?"
"Yes," Chii said. "Freya was Chii's sister."
"And she loved someone?"
"Yes," Chii said again. "Freya loved our Papa, but she could not ever tell him because of Mama. Freya did not want to hurt Mama, so she never told him, and she disappeared when the pain became too much."
"And you...you love someone too?" Morri asked.
"Yes," Chii stated. "Chii loves Hideki. Hideki is the one just for Chii."
Now Morri was beginning to understand. She asked one more question.
"Chii, can all Persecoms love someone?"
"No," she said. "Chii is special. Chii feels emotions that other Persecoms do not. Chii is a special Persecom, called a Chobits."
Morri understood now, why Chii didn't seem like a robot to her. When she had seemed distressed and upset, it was because she really was distressed and upset. She understood now why Chii wanted to go home so badly.
"Freya looks like Chii," the Chobits said. "Is Freya here?"
Morri didn't know what to say. What do you tell a robot who can feel sadness and love and grief when you're not sure if robots pass on when they die?
"Maybe," the Shinigami answered finally. "I've never seen her, Chii, but Soul Society is a big place. She could be here, but I don't know where she is."
"Oh," she said, sounding disappointed. Then she brightened. "If Freya is here, Chii is happy. If Freya is here, she must have found Papa. They can be together now, Freya and Papa. Chii is not selfish; Chii will not look for Freya. Freya would be happy to see me, but she might be sad if Chii tells her she can not stay because she must get home to Hideki."
Morri was surprised at how well Chii had taken her statement, and at her complete acceptance. She smiled at her. She really was like an innocent child.
"I'm sure you're right, Chii," she said.
Chii wandered back to the group, talking to someone else as Morri watched her go. Sesshomaru came to stand beside her, but she didn't even notice his presence until he spoke, making her jump.
"It was kind of you to let her down so gently," he said softly. "It is not easy to lose a family member, especially for a child, and despite her appearance, I believe that is what she is--a child."
Morri looked up at him. "I didn't know what else to say," she admitted. "I didn't want to hurt her feelings. I know it's hard to lose someone, and like you say, she's a child...in mind, at least." She frowned, looking back at Chii. "I'm a little confused on how she ended up this way. If I'm not mistaken, she wasn't always like this...she said something to me, 'Freya disappeared when Chii was still Elda.' I think she was a different person, and lost her memories, then remembered parts of her past later, after she had already been given a new name and identity."
"Amnesia?" Sesshomaru inquired.
"Data deletion," Morri replied.
"What is that?" the demon asked.
Morri looked back up at him in confusion, then remembered he was from the distant past. "Chii...is not human," she said. "There's no doubt she's still a person, but she wasn't born into this world like you or me. She's an artificial human, made mostly of metal. I don't know how her mind was created, but if I understand the concept of a robot correctly, her memories are not a permanent part of her brain like ours are, and there are ways for someone to get rid of them, or 'delete' them. In her case, her memories would be recorded in the form of information anyone could use if they knew how, called 'data'. 'Data deletion', then, would be if someone got rid of her memories in some way." She gestured at Chii. "This is the result. She's gone back to being a helpless child, knowing nothing but what little data she somehow recovered and what others teach her."
Sesshomaru gave a small smile. "That sounds far too complicated," he said. "I think I'll stick with 'amnesia'."
Morri laughed. "Simpler that way," she agreed.

(Ok! I'm afraid this is as good as it gets, at least until finals are over! Which is tomorrow. Depending on who's replied to this by then, I might change it. Ok? Ok.)

Allen took a big look around at this new place, wondering how just going through a door could make such a huge difference in landscape. "Sugoi! If only Lenalee-Chan and Crowley-Kun could see this!"

Lavi made a quick sweep around and said "It is something, ain't it? Man, the Old Panda could write an entire library about this place."

"Eto...Lavi? Since Bookman isn't here, don't you have to chronicle all of this?"

Lavi's face drained of color and he gave Allen a 'why did you have to say it?!' look. "I was trying to forget."

Allen sweatdropped. "Ah...gomen."

Hirami stood near the gate, her arms crossed moodily, looking around at the gathering of people. She had spotted Renji almost as soon as she had come through the gate. With his bright red hair, he was almost as easy to spot as Ichigo. What she was looking for now was a diversion...something to do...someone to talk to...anything so she wouldn't have to talk to him. But there wasn't - there! Suddenly, she spotted Kira Izuru, the Vice-Captain of her Division, heading towards them. She waved him over, thankful in so many ways.

"Hirami-Chan." He smiled. Same old Kira. "I see you're looking well."

Hirami bowed slightly, smiling back. "Thank you, Kira-Fukutaichou. And what about you? How are you holding up?"

He sighed, crossing his arms. "Well, the Third Division hasn't come apart at it's seams yet, so I guess I'm doing alright. But...I guess I just never realized how hard a Captain's work is."

"Yes, I can imagine."

"Hirami-Chan?"

"Fukutaichou?"

"What is the meaning of all this? Who are these people?"

Hirami frowned. "That...may be a little difficult to explain."
