We have brawl now too. The American version...
But because the TV is older + American version it turns up in black and white. I think it is a waste of my little brothers money (he bought it). Still he loves it and he didn't wanted to wait till the release of the European version.

Was edited: Just needed to add. It's not that he bought it that it is a waste of money... I just dislike the fact it's black and white on the old TV while a European game would show up in colors without all those stripes going over the screen @___@

I still haven't played brawl yet... and to make it worse I have a friend that constantly talks about it. It's driving me to insanity.

You know, there are programs for computers called emulators.
They let you play old games on your computer. I have a 64 emulator
and I have Super Smash Bros for it too. Be careful though when finding
your sites for the emulators. I use emulator-zone.com for the emulator
itself and emuparadise.org for the roms(games).

but aren't emulators illegal unless you own the game and system??? I have Brawl, but unfortunately, my internet SUCKS. Hardcore sucks...lol

Other than myself I don't think there has been much game bashing, and even if there was I don't see how it's a problem as long as it's related to the topic. Bashing = critiquing, and it's a very important part of the game judging process.
So stop being a pansy. If you're going to comment then comment. If not then don't, but don't make excuses.

I have Brawl now, well had it for a while. It is a fun game very much like it earlier smash brothers. It is just a little better than Melee though.

I didn't know that ROMs or emulators were totally illegal...huh...Oh well...lol...hmm. I don't think there has been a bunch-o-game-bashing either...Elaborate if you will? Brawl is actually pretty fun...I think the 64 version was better actually...lol (call me crazy, I already know I am...lol)

Actually, emulators by themselves are not illegal. It's the ROMs, that are unauthorized copies of published material, that are.

So yeah, you can have emulators for every game system out there on your computer and not have a problem. You just can't play anything on them. smile

And I guess I just got a little frustrated because it seemed like the past few pages were nothing but people arguing over which game in the series was better, and frankly that's one of the things I can't stand in game-related discussions. =/

So I really just popped in to answer your question about ROMs, I shall be taking my leave of this topic now.
