((ooc: I, as the creator of this RP, am posting a general announcement to members. If I only posted it in announcements, I'm afraid that not many would notice it immediately. Just worry about yourself, mmkay?

And please be nice.

Train

Lark turned at the older woman's voice. "Hello Professor Keegan!" She greeted happily. Her shy shell was beginning to crack and break away. She looked down at Casper who was circling her legs, waiting for a treat. She smiled and dug one out of her pocket and dropped it onto the ground. The cat happily pounced on it and began munching and purring. "Hm, I wish I could purr," Lark thought out loud. She realized what she'd said and looked up, her face started to grow red.

((And sorry for the shorter posts... I've been busy working and that was all I had time to write... and I have no time at all after work to RP, so I try and do it before work... )) sweatdrop

Train Station/Platform 9 3/4

Sabine looked around restlessly as she walked with her parents to the train station, what was it called again? She couldn't quite remember, it didn't matter anyway, because it wouldn't be of huge importance at the moment. So, when would she arrive? Though Sabine did not live a great distance from the train station, otherwise she would not be walking, walking to the train station laden with school supplies and books was tiring, and made the trip feel much longer than it really was. In realilty, Sabine lived just outside of London, and a friend of the family, who actually owned a car, had driven them until here, because she had to head to work at the Ministry from here, and they were left to walk the rest of the way on their own, not that they really minded. Now it was only another two minutes or so before they reached the station. Luckily for her, her parents had checked with some other folk and knew exactly what to do and where to go when they reached the station, otherwise, she would miss the train. Sabine knew she was cutting it very fine indeed, they would only have perhaps one or two minutes, or maybe three before the train left once they reached the station, which had already come into view.

The noise of the trains were almost overpowering, especially for Sabine, who was used to the quiet, serene countryside, rather than the noise and hustle of the heart of London. She could not help thinking of what it might have been like for her had her family not moved. She would have been with her friends, she would have her nightingale, she would have been around people just like her, who couldn't speak English either. They would have all been able to communicate fluently, had she been given the choice to stay. But Sabine supposed she would just have to adjust to the differences of her new life, and especially this school, called Hogwarts. "Come this way Sabine," her mother suddenly said, taking the lead, and she and her father followed her mother to the barrier between platforms 9 and 10. "We have to walk straight at wall," her mother said, explaining it in English, Sabine stared at her, "a-at the wall?" She was awfully doubtful that walking at the wall would get them onto Platform 9 3/3. "Yes," her mother replied, "come, it won't be difficult, I go first." She walked with swift, calm strides, slightly slowed down by a cage, which contained a snowy white kitten. Her parents had gotten it from a friend of theirs, whose cat had kittens, they obviously thought it would be able to take the place of her nightingale, they didn't know that nothing could take the place of her nightingale. But her mother passed through the wall and disappeared, Sabine blinked, but as if on impulse, she strode forward as well, and to her surprise, went straight through it, her father appeared moments later, he had apparently tried to look more casual as he went through, and stumbled a bit, as he probably had been leaning against the barrier. Sabine smiled, she could see the train, a scarlet engine, puffing smoke into the air. Her mother bent and kissed her cheek, "have good term. Write back often." She whispered, and lightly pushed Sabine forward, after she had boarded the train, her mother handed her the carrier with the kitten, "good bye, mother." Sabine said, and left to find a compartment. To her surprise, she had the good luck to find an empty one, relieved she stowed her trunk away, with some effort, and set the carrier containing the cat at her feet. At least she wouldn't have to speak to anyone just yet.

[OOC: Sorry about keeping everyone waiting, hurt my wrist, couldn't type, and stuff, for a while.]
