"Ack!" Moronicus cursed as crates and then racks of clothing fell on top of her. "Why you litte!" She charged after Joxer and Meg, but was almost trampled by a man riding a horse. "Curse you and your damned horse!" she yelled after him. When she turned around, Joxer and Meg were gone. "Blast!" She hurried quickly to find them again.

-Gabby looks around at her new surroundings, and wishes that Xena were here to keep Joxer's big mouth shut while she was trying to think. But maybe saying the problem out loud will help somehow. So she turned to Joxer and answered his question through gritted teeth.-
Well, Joxer.. I'm trying to think of a way to get Xena back. But how in tartarus I'm supposed to do that..
-Gabrielle rolled her eyes in frustration and pressed her palm against her forehead while wracking her brain on what to do-
I guess firsts things first. Let's go find Xena.
-Starts heading towards the port of Rome, in hopes to spot Xena arriving.-

*rolls eyes* well gee gabby all we gotta do ish pick her up at deh port rolleyes pfft. ish like yuu 2 never been apart befor *pats her back* thass ok 3nodding yuu got good ol' joxer here teh show yuu deh ropes 3nodding *we reach deh port and i dont notice so i keep walkin and fall face first inteh deh water. swims up and spits some water out* heh. stare meant teh do that.... *looks at deh boat comin in* hey look i think thass her! 3nodding

The ship reaches the dock. A sighing pause blankets the port, and then in an instant pirates barge out of the ship. Fisherman and sailors are brought down by their blades before anyone can gasp. As all the screams and shouts blur into a silence, she steps out from the ship. All of time is slowed around her. With her twisted smile Xena basks in the glory of blood shed. She saunters through the bodies as if they weren't even there. Xena pulls a dagger out from a dead man and cleans her teeth with it. Finished, she tosses the dagger behind her. It plunges into the heart of the one survivor. "Pirates." Xena uttered. With that one word the pirates all became quiet. They stopped what they were doing and followed her. Xena passed by the shocked Gabrielle without so much as a wink of recognition.

-Gabrielle grabbed her sais, and flipped them into her hands, preparing to defend herself if need be. She swallowed a hard lump in her throat as her once best friend walked by without a single word. Gabrielle wanted to call out her name, but she was choked back by the cold disheartening truth of what Xena had become. A complete stranger. She stepped back from Xena's pirate army, and tried to hold back the tears as she watched her life long friend abandon her, once again. And worse, with Joxer..-
"Joxer..?"
-Gabby managed to squeak out.-
"For now let's just.. Follow Xena. And later we'll decide what to do to get her back to us."
-Gabrielle kept her eyes on the leather clad woman warlord, who was slowly fading from view. She put her sais back in their holders, and started off in a quick pace to follow behind Xena's savage army.-

*standin rock still with huge gapin eyes. a buncha dead bodys keep fallin off deh dock inteh deh water around me* n....nyeh eek wh...whuts going on? eek *a body flops onteh me and i run screamin onteh deh dock and grabs gabbys leg* ZOMBIES! gonk ZOMBIES ARE TAKIN OVER DEH WATER! gonk *looks up at gabby who has teary eyes and a realleh mad look on her face. remembers whut athena did teh me. i let go of gabby and shake back and forward while huggin my knees* follow xena yuu say? ninja sounds good....ill be right behind yuu ninja

Xena spread through Rome like a disease. Her army tore away at the peaceful homes while Xena single handedly overtook the guards in a graceful display of fury.
"After the harlot!" screamed a guard.
Blood was smeared across her face making her eyes rip through the air. The oncoming men were frozen in her icy stare. After a slight pause the men turned on Rome to join Xena. A twisted laugh passed her lips as she entered an empty carriage. One of her new subbordinates quickly jumped into the front seat to lead her and the horses through a tour of the burning city.
Xena looked back to see a blonde girl at the docks followed by a man covered in kitchenware. They began to enter the city. The proud warrior was intrigued. She snapped at two soldiers by the carriage.
"Follow those two by the pier," Xena said. The men stood staring at her with their heads cocked. She growled at them and they quickly stumpled their way to the couple.

*hides behind deh big strong gabby cuz of all deh fightin* thats xena!? eek wh...whut happened!? eek *my brain clicks inteh place and i finally get whut everyone waz talkin about with evil xena* BY DEH GODS! eek ish evil xena! eek thass even worse then callisto! whutre we still doing here!? eek *turns around and trys teh run but doesnt wanna leave gabby alone. i try draggin her with me but she wont move* GABBY! gonk yur not makin this easy gonk *looks at deh bad guys comin at us* EGADS! eek worry not gabs! ill protect yuu! evil *i pull out my sword and hit my head on deh end of it then fall down*

-Gabby barely noticed the thugs walking towards them. But once they did come close enough, they simply pretended to ignore the two Greeks. They were ordered to follow us, not attack. And so it went, Gabby and Joxer followed Xena as she pillaged village after village, ((haha, that rhymes.)) as they too were being followed. They tried to help the innocents from being slaughtered by warning them, and telling them to flee. But their efforts were a drop in the bucket compared to the mass Roman genocide committed by Xena.
Long after dusk, Xena ordered for her army to finally stop and pitch up camp. Gabrielle did the same, but at a seemingly safe distance. Maybe if Gabrielle wasn't so distraught with all of the terrible deeds on Xena's hands, she would have noticed the guards following them. Or if she at least had taken more care to hide their trail, perhaps things wouldn't turn out the way they were about to.-
"I got more firewood."
-Gabby forced a small smile as she dropped the sparse sticks and twigs that she managed to find in the dark. After a few silent moments, Gabrielle decides to let her exhausted mind take a break.-
"Let's just try to get a good night's sleep. Maybe we can think of what to do in the morning."
-She walked over to her bed roll, and was about to curl up inside of it before she said "You know, if Xena were here.. She would.. Well. She's not. So never mind."
-Gabrielle wrapped herself in the warm furs, and turned to one side.-
"Good night, Joxer."
(Should they get captured and taken to Xena's tent for interrogation? Or something? Sorry for the long post.)

(We could try something a little less cliche.)
The men watched the couple from the bushes. Comfortable with their assumed level of stealth, they emerged. The dying flame shimmered in the dark. As both men crossed over the dull red glow, disfigured shadows were cast over the sleeping victims.
"Gather what you can from these two and bring it back to Xena." Whispered the taller soldier.
Doing what he was told, the shorter man scavenged the two. He stripped them of their weapons, their supplies, even the humble scrolls in Gabrielle's bag. As he returned back to camp, Joxer and Gabrielle were left with nothing but their clothes, furs, and the malicious man watching them in their sleep.
The man drew his sword. He stepped toward Gabrielle, but couldn't see a small hole in the ground. As he stumbled over it, the blonde warrior snapped awake from her sleep. With quick reflex, she swung her leg to bring the man to the dirt. A small quarrel began between the two, until Gabrielle flipped off of him causing him to land head first on a rock. The recoil from her flip however, didn't leave her without consequence as it flung her to a shaded branch pointing up from the ground; impaling her leg as she landed.
(I'm sorry if this seems too controlled on your end. I thought it would make things more interesting.)

-Gabby looked down at her bleeding leg, and yelled out in frustration.-
Son of a bacchae!
-Gabrielle scooted over to where Joxer was sleeping, and jabbed him hard in the side.-
Joxer? Joxer! Wake up!
-As she waited for Joxer to get out of bed, she looked around and realized they had just been ripped off.-
Unbelievable! This has been by far, the worst day of my life.
-Gabrielle mumbled and moaned to herself as she searched around for something to bind her gash.-
