I understand what you're talking about. My GF lives in another country, and unfortunately I have only been able to contact her once in the past two months.
But, she's really great, into a lot of the same things as me, very independant, incredibly smexii, oh so lovable, just great in sooo many ways. She also helps me to challenge myself, to be, better for her, and I love that.
She's into literature (always a bonus) and history (mostly the same kind as me) and it's all just so great!!!!! ^-^
Well, I'ma shut up now, buuuuut... you know, glad to revive this thread. xD

I used to be madly in love and in a long distance relationship. Everything was just tops until we actually met. sweatdrop
Still, I think it can work, but only if you don't censor yourself or idealize the other person. You know, like withhold the imperfect in yourself, and ignore the signs of it in them, which is a lot easier to do if you don't make contact in person. Appearance is a viable factor in choosing a boyfriend or a girlfriend. I personally end up finding a little jolie-laide in (almost) everyone, and if I like them they take on physical appeal to me.

ok so this is the first posting in this form for me ^^ So what do i like in a boy... I like a nice sweet guy. ^^ He doesnt have to be a jock or the popular kind for all i care lol. He has to feel comfortable around me and me the same around him =) we could tell each other anything.
(but every time i find someone like that they break my heart so idk xD lol)

If it was a guy, i'd like to say that his personality would be a big factor for me and geeky boys act so cute.
girl wise i guess i would say that personalities important as well. Their hair style and eyes.
