lol, it's ok I had to ask the same thing once. When you make a post in a thread it moves the thread to the top, so if you were to try to move a thread to the top without posting something with meaning you would try to "bump" the thread up.
But since this is a 'bump thread' all you have to do it "bump" the thread up. It's a way to gain gold and waste time if you have nothing else to do. Some even like to make or use a bump thread to gain post count, for example the creator of this thread.
((I think I said bump enough in here. xp ))
