As soon as Sithis heard the voice behind him, he twisted the woman's arm behind her back, and hled a knife to her throat. "I'm afraid we have a spy." He told Jiaan.

She twittered an airy laugh. "A gift?" More like a curse. "No, no, I don't think so. Well, Daddy does give me presents from time to time." A dimple flashed in her cheek. On her feet once again, Tri'aa backed away a little, careful to keep as much space as possible between them while trying not to seem like that's what she was doing. She blinked innocently at the boy and pasted a stupid smile on her face; she'd found that if one looked like they didn't know anything, people usualy assumed that they didn't. "I'm nothing special. Exactly like everyone else, really." She frowned. "Well, maybe not like you, but everyone else around here." She smiled blandly again. No way in the the nine circles of hell was she spilling her ability to a complete stranger.

Galvon didn't believe her. Well, more like didn't want to believe her. After all, he was a stalker. He stood and walked surprisingly close to Tri'aa and began walking around her in circles, inspecting every inch of her as if he would find an answer from her appearance. He moved quickly and low to the ground, reminiscent of a beat dog. -"It's okay, it's okay, I have a gift, too... more like a ruddy curse, but it gives me life..." Galvon paused and felt inwardly. Good, he wasn't sucking her strength. He would never do that to Tri'aa. No, never Tri'aa. Galvon kept circling Tri'aa, still looking for the answer he so desperately searched. In the back of his mind, flags were popping up left and right telling him to run, make her unconscious, it didn't matter just escape! But Galvon didn't listen. He kept circling her, looking for the answer even if it wasn't there.

She crossed her arms over her chest and followed him with her eyes, turning every once in a while so she wouldn't lose sight of him. The way Galvon moved made her uneasy. "Er... would you please stop doing that? It's making me nervous." Oops. Probably not a good idea to tell him you're nervous, girl. She cleared her throat and tried for a blank expression. Maybe, maybe, if he was like her, she'd trust him, because the colours around him didn't speak of dishonesty or malicious intent. "What kind of gift are you talking about?" She injected a note of bland interest into her voice.

Galvon paused when she spoke and looked up at her. His speech became very quick and he began to stutter. -"O-oh... sorrysorrysorrysorrysorrysorrysorrysorry...." Galvon stood as far as he usually did ( he was still hunched over, though ) but still inspected her, just he didn't circle around her this time. His heart was pounding in his chest, and his breath was shallow. Galvon never got excited a lot, but this was what happened when he did. Galvon's toes and fingers squirmed and twitched as he kept looking for the confirmation he sought for. At her question, however, he froze and looked up at her. -"W-w-well... like uh... uh... an abnormality... orororor... something like a... uh... power or something like that... for instance I, uh... steal people's strength. I can control it, b-b-but yeah... you don't have to worry about me stealing your strength, though. I would nevernevernevernevernever do that to you. Never." Galvon went back to squirming and inspecting for any sign of a gift on her. Galvon had purposely left out the mentioning of stealing souls, as that would probably send her screaming. Then again, what he was doing would probably send her screaming, but Galvon didn't realize that. He didn't really have good social skills.

The way he stammered was kind of cute and almost made Tri'aa smile. He didn't seem all that dangerous anymore, until his words registered in her mind. "You steal people's strength?" She asked incredulously, purple-blue eyes round circles in a suddenly pale face. All pretence of stupidity was dropped. "Holy freakin' cow. That's... that's... God." She sat down hard on the bench, her eyes glued to the boy. "People's strength?"

Jiaan turns around and stretches his arm out toward the person with blue energy starting to form around the end of his hand. "Who are you, tell us now or you wont ever move again". Damn, we got caught good thing Sithis was over there to grab her.

Galvon froze and lowered his head when she began going on about his gift. Now he felt really bad. The way she put it was as if it was inhumane, horrible, and just... wrong. Until then, Galvon thought it as just survival of the fittest, a necessary thing, but now it seemed like the worst possible thing in the world. Galvon lowered his gaze down onto the pavement. Now he was just acting like a little kid who's mother was scolding them. -"W-w-well... y-yeah... I-I-I kind of n-need it to live. Everyone has a predetermined lifespan. K-kind of like a destined d-death. It's the longest possible amount of time you c-c-can live. Mine was only a few days l-long, but by stealing the strength of others, I c-can live longer. And as long as I don't steal t-t-too much, p-people can kind of... grow it back."

"Oh." Tri'aa frowned, and a furrow appeared between her eyebrows. "So you're saying it's like a battery in one of those alien books." She said slowly, tapping her chin thoughtfully with her fingers. "You're like the appliance that uses the energy because you don't have enough to function on your own, draining the battery - which would be people's strength - but the batteries can always be re-charged over time and get back to their original level?" She nodded. "I think I get it." Tri'aa grimaced. "Geez, that really sucks. I'd have thought God or whoever's running the show would be nice enough to give everyone enough juice to run on their own."

Galvon smiled weakly as Tri'aa seemed to recover from the shock. -"Uh, pr-precisely. J-just I have to do it a lot otherwise I'll, uh... die..." Galvon sat next to Tri'aa, back to staring at her intensely. -"S-so what can you do?" Galvon listened intently, ready to have his mania satisfied. Galvon's fingers began squirming again, and his eyes became large white saucers as he prepared himself for what she said.

She shrugged, thinking. To tell or not to tell? Galvon had, after all, told her about his freaky power. Tri'aa's face screwed up as her little inner dabate went on. Ah, what the hell. "Nothing." She said finally. "At least, nothing useful. And I can't control it like you said you can." She stared at him, her eyes narrowed, her lips pursed into a tiny little moue of self-disgust. "Right now, there is a sort of... cloud of colour that surrounds you. It surrounds everyone, and it's called an aura. Basically, it's yourself, turned into colours. I can see it. Like, right now, you're dominant colours are red and ultraviolet, which I've figured out means you're either under a lot of pressure, angry, nervous, or you're an egotistical psycho. Those aren't your only colours, though, they're just the dominant ones right now. You, and every other person on this planet, are a walking rainbow. Quite frankly, it's pretty inconvinient, and damn annoying." She grinned wryly.

Galvon's eyes went even more wide when Tri'aa confided in him her gift. He even jumped up and started clapping in joy. -"I knew it!" Galvon sat back down and stared at Tri'aa again. -"Are you supposed to be at a ball? Are there a lot of royals there? Were there three males supposed to be there but they weren't?" Galvon was now assured that she was one of the girls in the ball, just he wanted to be beyond a doubt.

Tamar stuttered. that was not one of her best plans. "I'm not a spy! I thought I could help you! I overheard about your mission and found we have simalar goals. if you kill me, im afraid my fathers army will come after you. you refuse my help, they'll still come after you, cause i'm a tattle tale. so your stuck with me."

Sithis thought about it for a minute. "But if we hold you hostage, there's not much your father can do." He said to her. "Jiaan, you have some rope, right?" He asked her. "It's not that I don't like you, it's just that we can't trust you jsut yet, all right?" He said. "We had a plan, and we need to make sure we don't have any loose ends.
