"I don't need to look dashing," Azaroth muttered.

She tugged on his mane and grinned "Of course you do.. show up all those little princes trying to find a bride. It will be highly amusing to watch those poor boys try to compete with you... when you're not even in the running."
((Sometimes I think Ro is a bit sadistic...))

Aquaria looked at Delilah. "I'll try things on if you will. Otherwise, I see no reason to subject the others to the situation." Aquaria did not smile. She was serious and the hard edge of her mouth only helped her seem so.
Eurusa scuttled in between Delilah and Aquaria. "Here, dear, try on this simple black dress. Ruffles and frills are nice, but simplicity is always tactful." She smiled as she gave the dress to Aquaria. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Aquilo heaved a sigh of relief and leaned against a near by tree. "Thank you, Lord Chronos! You have saved me from a terrible plight." He laughed at his overly dramatic words, mostly to lighten his spirits.
"Anytime Master Aquilo. I know how you like to keep yourself away from anything that might cause Lady Zephyr to desire grandchildren." He laughed whole heartidly. Aquilo was scared to death that his mother would want grandchildren sometime in the near future. He'd even been praying to Zeus and Hera for protection from the topic.

"Explain to me this locale's fixation with competitions in order to find "love" as they call it?" Azaroth frowned peering closer at the invitation Rowena had been waving around. "Am I correct in understanding that one of these so-called "Princes" is the son of that lecherous dragon?"
((But that's why we love her!))

Delilah nodded in encouragement, "It'll look beautiful with your completion."
"I think Delilah should wear this!" Amara grinned pulling out a slinky red dress that laced up the back.
"It's Very 'smoldering temptress'," Satine flashed a grin at the other girls.
"I don't think so..." Delilah said shying away.

Ro bit her lip thoughtfully "Well.. in competition the goal is to have the best win. These parents want the best mate for their son's thus a sort of competition in the ball. Its all to get the goal of THE best mate for their sons." She giggled "Yep.. one of Meridian's boys is up for 'slaughter'. Good thing it wasn't one of Tsuki's.. she'd go ballistic. One, Tihalt, actually is a prince from my herd. His father is the Demon King, Yuri. The last I don't know much about."

"Up for slaughter, indeed," Azaroth said thoughtfully. "Almost makes me feel sorry for them. Then again, knowing the minds of young men, they'll be all to willing to just stand there and let the women throw themselves at them."

Aquaria smiled seeing Delilah's reaction to the dress. "Oh, come on, you can't not try it on now!" Aquaria slipped the black dress over her head, noting the snug feel of it. "I think it's a little too tight..." she mused aloud.
Eurusa giggled. "It's supposed to be tight. It shows off all the right curves. That red dress would look great on you. Won't you try it on?"

"Well.." Ro shrugged "The only one I really know is Tihalt... and that boy is so shy he won't know what to do during this thing. It will be a miracle if he actually manages to find a mate.. at all."

"Very well..." Delilah reluctantly agreed taking the dress. "But I'm just trying it on..." She slipped into the material with ease, and found as Amara helped lace up the back, that the dress seemed almost made for her clinging lovingly to her every curve. She almost didn't recognize herself when she looked into the mirror. The red of the dress accented her hair and looked...well, a little sexy with her lace wrappings.
"Oh yes," Satine nodded in approval. "You are wearing that."

"Explain to me again how this ball is suppose to help them..." Azaroth muttered shaking his head. "I do not understand the ways of these people."

"They'll be able to meet many girls... and I guess boys too if they swing that way, and supposedly find the perfect one they click with, fall in love and live happily ever after for ever and ever. Thats the plan anyway. I say they'll be alot of petty cat fights between the girls, lots of drama, and if those boys manage to find a mate in all the chaos that still WANTS to be around chaos... they've got a keeper.... for awhile at least." She grinned teasingly "I guess you don't want to throw one of these for all your sons then?"

"Whoa! You look like a real princess!" Aquaria looked at herself in the mirror, knowing that the refelction of herself was not as gorgeous as Delilah. She smiled half heartidly, to put on a good show for the others.
Eurusa's jaw fell but she promptly closed her mouth, rememering it was bad manners to gape. "Aquaria, darling, ladies do not say 'whoa.' They speak with finesse and grace." She smoothed a couple of wrinkles out of Aquaria's dress, looking Aquaria sternly in the eyes. "You must remember your manners for this ball. It would not reflect well on the herd or yourself if you slugged any of the princes or spoke like a heathen."

"I expect my sons to be wise and not allow themselves to be involved in such foolishness."

"No, that looks stupid," Arcanon muttered peering intently into the stream before shaking out his mane and trying a different style, adding water trying to tame his unruly locks. After all, he wanted to look his best for this dance. She might be there...

"But it's better to speak then be silent," Delilah added quietly gazing thoughtfully at the other female. "Maybe a black choker with that dress? You have such natural beauty, it would be a shame to take away from that with gaudy decorations. But a few simple things..."
