They could have at least had Klaus wearing fake glasses with just glass (or plastic) hehe

It wasn't that the actor didn't wear glasses-that wouldn't matter at all. I mean, Daniel Radcliffe wears glasses with nothing in them. They just thought Klaus would look too much like Harry Potter.

Still. Didn't they show Klaus reading with glasses, narrow ones? That would be different from Potter.

>_< I wanted to see the puzzles in the BOOk come to life, not the Hollywood plots. They sped through everything sooo very quickly!! I mean, the true to word movies would have been perfect for people who like EEGGS and whatnot... But I think they showed too much of VFD. They could have at least left it at a point that made you THINK about the secret orginization, instead of with the spyglass stuff. That really made me forget about the whole VFD mystery...

They ended the movie so quickly, I almost thought that it WAS a happy ending. I even went "Oh NO!" in the theatre. >_<

Gack. gonk I remember pointing out every little detail to my brother, who has not read the books, that was wrong. I mean, I nearly left the movie theatre part way through when they had Klause trying to rescue Sunny from the tower in the first/last part. I let that slide because it seemed like they just did alot of that stuff due to being pressed for time.

But in the end, when Violet was about to sign the paper with her left hand and Count Olaf made sure that she signed with her right...
It just irked me. There was no need to change that. =/ And I do beleive that the Baudelaires didn't find out untill much much later that it was Olaf that burned down thier house.

They just changed those things to make it more interesting for people who had never read the books... Like them finding out about Olaf burning down their house, even though it was predictable, it still helped the people who needed some suspense and more plot developement then the readers going to see it.

Yeah, they added a little too much about VFD, but they had to make sure people besides those who are fans of the books came back for the next one.

I haven't seen the movie, now I don't want to, it sounds like the ruined the book..thier clothes look nothing like the book, though I did too like Violet's dress anyways. Plus, WHY THE HELL IS KLAUS TALLER THAN VIOLET!? He looks older, he's supposed to be 12..oh well, book to movies have never been good..

sweatdrop Well he might have been taller, but they had to make sure they had a good actor for the part and not just think about physical appearances. I thought he did a good job with it.

Well, it was possible to make Violet seem taller. They could give her a pair of platform shoes to wear that they could cover up with her dress (so that the shoes would seem like normal ones). One of my friends wanted to seem taller than me once in a picture, so she did that. surprised

Yes, they could have done that with very little trouble at all, but was it essential? I mean yes, Violet should be taller then Klaus but in my opinion it's not any significant part of the plot or the books, just an added physical feature.

Yeah, I'd stated that before but got hit by mild flaming but you should still see the movie it's really entertaining even though it's not by the books.

but it does kinda make you wonder about what they're gonna do when they get to the Miserable Mill...
Key word there is when. They might not even go to Miserable Mill. They might just end it. I haven't heard any word about anothe movie. Jude Law for Lemony was okay. But the profile guy for Lemony Snicket. Eh, its was horrible. You know what would have been cool? If they had Daniel Handler play it. xd Did anyone stay for the credits and watch the little movie? Does anyone remeber the Littlest Elf from The Auto. Bio.? That was so exciting. whee

Don't judge a movie by commericals. Its just like judging a book by its cover. The movies not bad bad. Its just okay. 3nodding Klaus doesn't have to be shorter than Voilet. My brother is taller than my sister. Boys have puberty later. And longer. (I think xd )

Exactly in the book didn't Voilet sign it with her left hand? I don't remeber. sweatdrop

The part when Klaus was like "I'm going home! This is not home" was really really dumb.

Yeah, I stayed for the whole credit part, I thought it was really neat. The music was good too. Originally my friend and I were just staying to see the names of the twins who played Sunny, but then we just stayed for the whole thing. I also wasn't too impressed with the profile Lemony Snicket.. I thought he should have been.. shadier?
