The kick connected sending Riker toppling over on his side, holding his head in pain.

:: Finally getting some momentum rolling in this matchup, Ryuu got to his knees and pumped his fists at his waist, yelling out into the crowd! Hyped up, Ryuu returned to a stand and leaned down to pull up the stunned Riker. From here, Sakamoto would attempt to lace his arms underneath Riker's arms and clasp his fingers at the throat of the opponent in a front-side full-nelson. If successful, he'd attempt to sweep John's legs out from underneath and fall forward, trying to plant the back of his head against the canvas with the Inverted Full Nelson STO -- The KFX! ::

Riker's head was smashed into the canvas, on impact Riker jerked away flying free of Ryuu's gripp and kicking and rolling across the mat as he held the back of his head in pain.

Still holding his head, Riker managed to get close enough to the ropes to save him self as Ryuu went for the pin. Riker grabbed hold of the rope with his right hand, and held it tight until the ref shouted for Ryuu to let him go.

:: Riker managed to make it to the ropes in safety, and Sakamoto took this as a pass to continue the pressure on the man. Although Riker was at the ropes, Ryuu stood up and zoned in on Riker's ribs .. just aiming a stiff soccer-style punt right into the opponent's side! ::

Riker arched in pain as he screamed out the mask muffling anything he said. Johnathan rolled out the ring and began to the circle it, tring to catch a breath.

:: Ryuu watched as Riker escaped from the ring, and Ryuu followed suit after him, wanting to keep his momentum rolling. Moving up from behind Riker, Ryuu would attempt to hammer a forearm shot solidly into the back of the opponent's shoulders! ::

:: Nailing that forearm shot to the back of Riker's shoulders, Ryuu refused to give the man any sort of breathing room. Stunning him for now with that strike, Ryuu would quickly attempt to pull Riker into a front facelock, after turning him around, so he could drop to the mats / floor below to spike him onto his head with a DDT! ::

Riker was planted with the DDT, he rolled away from Ryuu, ending up laying on the ground against the barricade, holding his head.

It was around the count of 6 that Riker stumbled to his feet. He tumbled across the padded floor to the ring, and managed to roll under the bottum rope before the 10.

:: Ryuu admired Riker for his resiliency, but Sakamoto was about ready to put Riker away in this match. Dragging Riker to his feet, Ryuu would attempt to hook both of the man's arms with his own so that he could turn about in a 180. If successful, he would now attempt to sit out and plant Riker square on the back of his head with The SexyBack! ::

When Riker felt Ryuu try to hook their arms together, Johnathan knew he had to act now or risk the match. He jerked free from Ryuu's grip, and went for Mark of the Dark Spot. If connected Riker would try to finish this match with a Malicious Strike.

:: The sudden punch to the throat caught Ryuu off guard, and then the Malicious Strike would come second as he would be removed from his feet and plastered to the canvas! The roll he had been on for the latter portion of this match had disappeared suddenly .. but in his luck, he hadn't sustained too much in the way of recent damage. Laid out on the canvas for now, Ryuu would slowly try to roll himself away from Riker .. ::
