I'm the only female 1st trumpet player in my school band though... Same here! =D And the guys are jealous!

Two out of three people in my trumpet section are girls, but that one person (guy) got kicked out, cause he dint know what a natural was . o-o

its sad, but i am the only girl brass player in my band. as well as the only french horn player. all the girls play flute, sax, clarinet, or bells. the guys are trumpets, drummers, sax, or low brass. when we were doing marching band, we had this one move where we split up into a uy x and a girl x. (it was unintentional) i was the only brass player. or when we split up by sections, only girl. that sucks. i always get left out. its kinda depressing because my band director forgets me all the time. except for once when he thought i moved and the peice we were playing had a huge horn solo. he actually hugged me when i cam back.

I've always had another girl in the trumpet section with me, except for one sem. in middle school when then only other girl moved...

Most of our concert band is girls, and out of all those girls only 3 play a brass instrument. (That includes meh cause I'm awesome! XP)

our trumpet is 80% percent girls, we have two horn players and 1 trombone player 4 concert band and 2 4 jazz bc our director doesn't want some of the percussion to lie around and do nothing.

There are only 3 girl brass players in the school, one of which is probably going to drop out, but yeah. I'm the only low brass player who happens to be a girl at my school. (The other two are beginner trumpet players.)
Oh yeahhhh.

It sucks when I actually have my weekly trumpet lesson, I'm the only girl! I know I should be grateful for being stuck in a small room with guys, 1 of them that is my type and likes me. BUT THE REST ARE SOO EGOTISTICAL! It gives me the irrits- THERES SIX OF US! But I am satisfied when they wuss out and decide that they want to play second and then I play better than them at anything they play(partially because they are the most hopeless beat-keepers I have ever met) and then I get the award for best brass of my year level which REAAAALLLY pisses them off, so funny.
My Trumpet teacher asked me if I wanted to take up trombone because we only have one in our band, whats your honest opinion? Like i can trust girls with this(at least I hope).

When i was in band ( i graduated last year) i was the only girl trombone player which ruled cuz i was first chair and the low brass section leader. so if said for any of the boys to do something they had to do it. that was awesome. twisted

at my school:
trumpets 2 firsts, both girls, 4 seconds, all boys
trombones, 2 firsts, girls, 2 seconds, both boys
1 male tuba
1 male baritone
1 male fr. horn
That's right, all the first chair brass players are chicks. For good reason, all the boys SUCK.
