((Chibi can work- or beansprout. biggrin BTW- eyes open for YGO Abridged reference. biggrin ))
Gaali's face shadowed over as he looked at the ground and clenched his fists. "Who... is... A GOOD-FOR-NOTHING SPECK OF DUST SHRIMP?!?" Gaali fumed at the girl. He knew she hadn't said most of what he repeated, but it was in his nature to heap on insults to himself- especially when someone insulted his height. He had been told time and time again, "Girls grow faster than boys at this age", and that it was hormones and whatnot, and that it would even out in time; he still couldn't handle the fact that most men (and women) that he met were taller than him. And he was trying, dammit. He drank three-plus glasses of milk a day, with the gallon-and-a-half a week he bought straight out of his allowance, rather than on other things like comics or children's trading cards.
Still, he grinned. He did deserve that, after all- he had started "hostile" relations, if you will, so it's not unexpected to have someone come back. He looked up, grin still on his face. "Sano, you can stop that." He glanced back at the older boy for a moment. "It's fine." He turned back foward, grinning still. "So now that the opening pleasantries are out of the way, I should introduce myself. I'm Durne Gaali." He'd leave it to Sano to introduce himself. "What is your name?"

Shihasu chuckled a few times before she shook her head, "Easy there Chibi, wouldn't want you to burst a blood vessel."
She caught Sano's slight movement, and brought a loop of wire around her middle finger, remaining placid looking. When Gaali introduced himself, she nodded, "Fubuki Shihasu."

Sano shook his head as he heard a familiar rant spew forth from his companion’s mouth. Sano had the displeasure of once bringing up Gaali’s height and like now Sano had become subjected to a five minute long speech of the intricacies of growing and the genetics that had caused Gaali’s shortness. Even Sano who strived himself to remain calm at all times became annoyed even after only a minute of his complaining.
Sano didn’t say anything and even slowly moved his hand away from their original perch as Gaali made a sideways comment about his movements. Gaali knew him almost too well after all. Sano allowed his arms to move upwards on his body crossing them as he remained quite. He listened as Gaali introduced himself always perplexed on how Gaali could insult someone the first minute and then attempt to establish some sort of friendship the next.
Sano did smile a bit as the female shinobi clearly noticed his own movements and prepared herself just a bit. He was glad that she had not taken him lightly enough to remain defenseless, though he honestly wondered in her tired and wounded state if she could take him. Sano remained still as the woman introduced herself as Fubuki Shihasu. He had never heard the name before and wondered if she had any relatives who were shinobi within the village. Sano didn’t say anything for a long while really not the type to be talkative. However, Sano knew that Gaali was expecting him to introduce himself. With a small sigh Sano looked up at Shihasu and said, “Kodahma Sano…” Sano then went silent again not in the mood for such pleasantries.

Gaali would have gone on his usual, 5-minute-long rant on the trials and tribulations of being shorter than others, but he could tell Sano would probably drop-kick him right in the back of the head- he had the vantage point. So he bit his lip and grinned slightly.
"So, Fubuki-san, what team are you in?"

Shihasu nodded at Sano politely, taking in the kamon on his clothing. She was musing over it when Gaali had asked her about teams.
"I wouldn't know. I haven't been assigned to one yet; still waiting to take my exams," she said, shrugging her shoulders with a bored look, "I don't really care who it is, as long as they aren't idiots."

Sano remained silent as his friend surprisingly held some composure and resisted the urge of continuing his ranting which would have only ceased with the immediate slap to the head. However, just because Gaali had not kept complaining didn’t mean that Sano wasn’t annoyed by the social function that he had apparently gotten himself into. Sano still felt like he had a lot to work on before becoming a part of a team.
Sano wasn’t about to complain himself. He wouldn’t stoop to such a level that he would bother others with his problems. However, he did agree with Shihasu as she answered Gaali’s question and brought up a common desire to stay away from foolish teammates. Sano didn’t wasn’t about to say anything regardless and he just continued to stand there not really believing that Shihasu would suddenly become hostile, but never trusting enough to have his guard down.

The tension in Sano's frame was evident, and Shihasu heaved a small sigh as Shiro came over and began winding herself around her legs, "I know, we're leaving now."
She looked at the two and bowed slightly, "It was nice to meet you. Maybe we can train together someday soon. Your taijutsu style is very interesting."
She was referring to Sano, and turned to Gaali, deciding to tease him some more, "And you . . . Well, powerful explosives come in small packages, I'm sure you have some kind of redeeming quality to you."

Gaali grinned and bowed low. "We shall see, won't we? biggrin " As he straightened up, his grin was still wide. "And a pleasure to meet you too, Fubiki-san."

Shihasu gave a last small bow and turned to leave, beginning to sprint away with the cat at her heels, yelling over her shoulder, "Until we meet again!"
With that, she was gone, running full tilt back to her home, and more than likely a good scolding.

Gaali turned to Sano. "So, now that your favorite activity (sarcasm) has passed, what do you want to do?" Gaali really didn't have anything in mind- usually, at this point, he would go home and practice his instrument. He may be a shinobi, but his dad thought well-roundedness was key, so he found an old-style musical instrument called a "cello" and taught Gaali to play it. It was actually a lot of fun.

Sano remained still as he watched the female shinobi that Gaali had momentarily confronted. He wasn’t sure what she was about to do and thus was a bit surprised when she suddenly declared that she was leaving. Sano didn’t even give a nod at he listened to Shihasu direct a comment at him and then at Gaali. He already predicted his companion’s response before it ever left the Suna nin’s mouth. Sano then watched as Shihasu ran off apparently heading back to her home. He then turned back to regard his companion who was wanting to do a bit more training before the end of the day. Sano regarded Gaali for a moment, thinking of what he wanted to say. When Sano was done he said, “Not sure… I don’t really care as long as it is actual training… Not like playing a dead instrument.” Sano gave a knowing smirk when the comment left his mouth knowing Gaali played the cello and would not enjoy the comment very much.

"Feh. Dead instruments are FUN, thank you very much." Gaali crossed his arms. "Well, we've sparred... what do you say to going to the restaurant for a brief snack, then we'll work on techniques out here?" Gaali gestured with a gloved hand. "I need to work with my wires some more."

Sano put on an all knowing smirk as he listened to Gaali complain about the comment that he had just made concerning certain wooden instruments. Sano mulled over the idea of getting something to eat. He wasn’t really the type to normally just go out and enjoy the village and its restaurants. Generally when Sano returned from his personal training a small feast would be waiting for him prepared by his stepfather’s personal chefs. Of course Sano never really enjoyed overeating either, but every time he got home the food was there like always. Sano eventually turned towards Gaali and said, “I think we should hold off on eating until later. I heard a rumor that the Kazekage might be found at the Genin dojo training people in jutsus. You want to head over and see what the Kazekage has to offer? I am sure that she will have plenty to offer, but if it doesn’t work out we can always just train there…” Sano had remained calm the whole time while saying it as if in the end it didn’t really matter. In truth it didn’t really no matter where he was he planned to train, it was just in Sano’s nature.

((you can make first post there))
Sano nodded his head a bit to Gaali wondering just what sort of things the Kazekage would teach them. Instead of bringing it up however, Sano simply decided that he would follow Gaali for now and see what came of it. With that in mind Sano gave a bit of a sigh as he slowly walked behind Gaali the whole time his mind creating new plans for future training sessions.
