Kikaromi I hate when new people want to join band out of the blue!I'm now in 7th and 8th grade band! And like over, 20 people with NO playing experience wanted to join band. Then we begin to sound worse in a lot of sections because a majority wanted to be in a certain section! Then all our hard work went down the drain! scream I hate when this happens!!! Agreed. The thing I hate is when people quit band. Yes, its their choice. But seriously, a Band director isn't there for fun, s/he is there to teach you how to play an instrument...All their hard work: Then you quit? Pathetic.

i have 3 things to say that I hate
1 everytime that is always some one talking it the saxiphones sections in my class
2 she is always yelling at thouse that are talking non stop stare
3 everytime we are doing sheet music we are both sooooooo loud and there are sooooo many wrong notes thats its anoying stare 3nodding

I hate that non of the trumpets practice besides myself... wtf man? they can't play their music.... and if they can they could be working harder, to get better music. theres a reason i tryout for local an state symphony orchestras.....

This year I'm playing with the seniors (yay), so there's not too much I have to say about the older students. It's the ones in my grade, my age group that tick me off sometimes (and it's more or less the students in my section that are only a couple of friggin seets away from me). I actually like my band teachers (which is totally awesome). The thing I really, really, really don't like is when you're listening to the teacher and people start talking to you and you miss out on the funny punch line, or something improtant related to playing. Then the other person that interupted your concentration's all like "What're we doing now?" every five minutes. OMG, friggin listen for once in your friggin life, and then maybe just maybe you'll understand. Also, I hate it when you try to volunteer for something, and the bigger band geek gets to it before you every friggin time. "ooh, meee. please pick meeeee!!!!" Gawd!!!. Like, by the time our brain reacts, they've got their hand up. Like, what the junk?

i hate the little cliques that get started. i had a freind that i guess you could say "joined" one and from then on she wouldn't look at me or talk to me. i also hate the little soap operas that get started. yeah, they are fun to watch but not when we are in the middle of marching our show or playing music. i swear, there are at least 1 or two going on at any given time. i also hate the fact that the juniors and seniors look down on the freshmen and sophmores. it's like they think we are little bugs they can squish at their convenience. as i think you can tell i am a sophmore. the guard kind of annoys me to. sorry, nothing to do with guard personally. there is just one girl who annoys the s--t out of me. ok, sorry, rant over.

a few things annoy me:
1.I am the only one to play my instramen(its no ones fault but it ticks me off cause i am always forgotten, that wouldnt happen if there was more than one oboe!)
2.most of the kids in band, they wont shut up! most aren't serius about band at all, they just joined because their friends did, it is so annoying!
3.i stupidly have to sit next to the clarinets(who annoy the heck out of me) instead of the flutes(most of good but two always fight! i try to get them to stop but do they listen to me? no!)

People who don't practice, and the whole band does bad when they don't, we also get yelled at for them not practicing....
I also hate it when people say OMFG look at that tuba or Look at that Tuba...I hate it when people say that about French Horn cases or baritone cases...expecially when they are in BAND! That flat out annoys me because they know it isn't a freakin tuba, but they call it that anyways.. talk2hand

O and you play Oboe..that's awesome..we had 2 Oboes last year but one quit...

But i guess that doesn't matter considering they moved me to a new band class where i am the only horn..

I hate: stupid rookies who won't listen because they think its "funny" or "cool", when people get upset (and I mean like kick the wall temper tantrum not darn I really wanted that) over whos section leader or first chair, people who sit there and complain ALL THE FRICKIN' TIME about how much they hate band, BUT WON'T LEAVE, and people who want to know where John Phillip Sousa lives so that they can shoot him for all of the AWESOME marches he wrote.
whew*wipes forehead* now that thats over I really love band, and nothing can ever make me dislike or leave it.

xGummy Bear Ninjax I hate how after class if you walk by the brass sections its like a lake theres spit everywhere its so gross. I also hate how it consumes most of your free time, I can understand during marching season, but during concert band I work at home to make sure I know my parts. Why should I have to stay after school for sectionals just because other people cant take the time to learn their own part? this is a part of brass that woodwinds have to put up with! im a tuba player and when I empty out my spit i usually do it then and there people just have to learn how to walk around! considering we use way ore spit!

I used to be confused other Tubas,Baritones and Euphoniums..Now? No. Baritone: 3 or 4 valves Euphonium: 4 valves [Correct?] Tuba:4 to 5 valves. Some have 6 rotary valves. Also, I hate it when people try to sound smart.. >____> "Baritone Trombone" isn't a real trombone! Thats Bass trombone. razz It annoys people who are ACTUALLY smart.
