A laugh was heard by Kalasin as she stepped out of the alley, the sound coming from a man leaning at a wall near the opening the girl just walked out of. He then clapped as Kalasin looked at him with curious eyes, the man outlandishly clad in bright beige and white attire, a sign that he was of the Paladin order. On his back was a huge item, most likely a sword judging from the handle poking out of the bundle of cloth that covered the whole thing. "You got a mighty arm there lil lady!", the voice obviously not Scottish, most likely Slavic. He then bent down upon his waist, bowing to the young Kalisin as a knight would do to a princess or a lady of a higher status, introducing himself afterwards as he straigtened himself up, "My name is Raul Sverige of the Holy Trinity Order...may I ask why a lovely lady such as yourself would be walking around alone at this time of the night in Scotland?"

- - -

Kalasin froze, and her eyes narrowed as a haughty look scittered across her face. She looked down her nose at the strangely clad man; quite the accomplishment, considering her height. Then, she shrugged and dropped her guarded stance, fighting her instant distrust of anyone not Scottish. " 'Raul Sverige of the Holy Trinity Order'...?" She echoed. "Quite the mouthful, I must say. Alas, you may ask, of course, but I reserve the right to either lie or not answer." Humour glinted in her eyes, but none came through in her voice. She was deadpan. "Are you daft, man? I am, quite obviously I might add, not a lovely lady, or even a lady in any sense of the word. I'm just nobody, taking in a wee bit of the night air before I'm on my way. So I suppose it's up to you to figure out if that's what I'm really about, aye?"

Again Raul chuckled, being called daft was the last thing he expected after exhibting such courtesy to the woman in front of him. Shifting his hands upon the small of his back, he walked closer to the girl, leaning forward as he winked at her flirtatiously. "Of course you are a lovely lady, any woman is! But I'm just wondering wh-", Raul was cut off by the sounds of clanking feet from behind him, armored feet he judged from the heaviness of the steps.

***

Glancing quickly to the side, Raul immediately blocked Kalasin from the oncoming intruder's path, his eyes widening immediately as he sees the man's sadistic stare while he waved his massive weapon aimlessly, as if to hew down anything that comes against his path towards the two.

"YOU! FIEND! STATE YOUR BUSINESS OR I SHALL HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO BANISH YOU FROM THE DEPTHS OF HELL THAT YOU CAME FROM!", Raul barked out, his own hands unravelling his own gigantic weapon, 'Dusk' in case he would have to protect himself from the oncoming brute...

The unknown entity, seemingly a large man with canines for teeth drew a gigantic sword, the blade cruel-looking. The devil-man only placed a clawed fingertip upon his thin lips as it shushed Raul, who immediately attacked with blinding speed.

Blocking it with his own weapon, using the broad side of the sword to shield him and Kalasin from the sudden attack, Raul was left grunting and wide-eyed at the sheer strength of his opponent, his eyes staring at the fiend with awe and shock.

Dear God he's strong! Where is Astal when I need HIM?!?!

Knowing he can't take on the monster in front of him while he is trying to protect the girl behind him, Raul turned his head to the side as he continued to fend off the onslaught of attacks the fiend is delivering, "RUN KID!", was all he shouted at the girl, grunting once again as another blow shook his frame.

***

The two fought for quite sometime, though it only lasted for minutes, it seemed forever for both Raul and Kalasin. It ended in a bloody stalemate, Raul and the fiend both ending up with brutal injuries, but it seems that Raul still had enough juice to keep on going for the monster had collapsed in its own pool of blood

Staggering away from the monster, Raul shouted at Kalasin, "Go! Run into the town! Get help!!!"

Elsa shrugged. "Business in the east I suppose. Though I am capable in protecting myself from thugs, highway men ect." she answered shrugging. "What is a man like you traveling alone here in the middle of nowhere, is what I would like to ask you." she wasn't all that interested, but she wouldn't mid listening to him drone on for a bit about why he was here in the first place. She rolled her eyes when he said 'Alright then I shall let you tag along with me...' technically he was the one tagging along with her. Of course, because he caught up to her, and she was the one leading the way, she made note of this, but said nothing.

Ryosuke paused as he contemplated if he should reveal his real mission or not, his left knuckles white as he gripped the hilt of his sword hard.

Should I tell her about who I really am?...

She's Japanese...she would know who I am...maybe she could even help me!

Then Ryo's normally grinning face became serious for a moment. "My name is Ryosuke Miura by the way, General of the 10th Japanese Imperial Legion. I'm here in order to avenge the death and murder of my master, Shishi-o Saito. He was murdered in his sleep and his corpse was defiled by a madman called the 'Black Knight'.....", then with a seething his he continued, "I will put that European's head on a pike for everyone in Japan to spit at........"

Elsa stopped dead in her tracks. 'He's certainly more hat meets the eye...' she sighed. "I heard of that, though I've probably been away from Japan to have heard of who you are." she turned to look at him. "You may call me Ellie. For certain and well considered reasons, I am not at liberty to discuss my real name." she crossed her arms. "As such being with me could mean death, but you're a big guy, and able to handle yourself, so their should be no problem-" she paused them looked at him. "-and no, you may not ask of what I do either." she finished ending any questions he may have had about her. Her face was dead serious, just as his, but she paid no attention to it. "Anyways..." she stretched, placing her arms above her head and carried forward again. "How about at the next town over, I'll pay for the meal." she smiled trying to make light of the situation he had placed her in. 'Damn...' she thought under her calm and seemingly positive attitude. 'If I have him tagging along too long he'll figure it out for sure...DAMN! I didn't want to have to kill an innocents...'

Grinning in acknowledgment of her invitation for a free meal, he shook his head after, politely refusing it as he said, "M'lady I am humbled by your invite for a free meal but sadly I have to make my way to Paris as fast as I can...by any chance are you headed the same direction as I am? For we can make our way to the ferry together if you'd like...".

Ryo then bowed very corteously to the lady in front of him, hand upon the hilt of his sword as he bent by the waist, a traditional Japanese bow of a swordsman. "So shall we?...", he then continued to ask, this time leading the way for the girl instead of her.

(On a ferry bound for France...)

Nodding at a European passengers that eyed him with curiosity and winking at the European females that eyed him lustily, Ryosuke could not help but grin as he leaned with his back against the rails of the ferry's bow, arms crossed upon his bare chest. Enjoying the morning breeze, he inhaled the fresh air, exhaling with a sigh as he smiled.

God the air smells so good outside the battlefield...

Wait a minute, where is that woman I was travelling with gone to?...

The last thought caused the Japanese warrior to raise an eyebrow as he did start to wonder about the whereabouts of his fellow Japanese traveller, Elsa. Panning his eyes out across the ship, he tried to catch a glimpse of the Asian woman, but to no avail.

Ah she's a grown woman, she can handle herself!

Closing his eyes once more to drift away into thoughts of his next move, he started to think about things from his past, particularly of a woman assassin that almost got him killed one night a year ago.

"Sly.........", it was all he mumbled before he once again became lost in his deep thoughts...

"En arrivant sur le sol français, prêt s’il vous plaît votre laissez-passer pour l'inspection! Entering French soil, please ready your passes for inspection ladies and gentlemen! Have a great day!", then followed by a loud HONNNNKKK!!, sending Ryosuke to jump up in surprise, a female passerby laughing at him impishly as she eyed Ryo's startled yet still very ruggedly handsome face. Blushing in embarassment, he winked at the woman as he walked towards her, patting her saucy rump as Hiro passed her by to get off the ship and into the French town of Amiens, just 50 miles from Paris.

{Leaving Glasgow, Scotland}

As the morning light illuminated the scene of the previous night's events, Tai's eye's shot open. To the horrified amazement of the early morning pedestrians who happened to be watching, he slowly picked himself off the ground, even into a standing position. His wounds healed, he went about picking up the peices of armor that had fallen off due to the attacks of Raul the night before. Once they were all collected, and his sword was sheathed once more, he moved on to try and find a blacksmith of decent skill, wandering out of the city in his search.

With a rev of her motorcycle’s engine, Sly burst off in the direction of the freeway. Thanks to the tip she’d gotten from her nameless employer, and from a brief glance at the ferry schedule for that day, she knew that Ryosuke would be deboarding the ferry in about half an hour, in Amiens.
Meanwhile, as she craftily navigated through shortcuts that would get her there in the approximated time, she remembered, back to a time when she was younger, softer, and sent to kill the one named Ryosuke.

[[I'll add in flashbacks of this later; I really don't have time to now.]]

She parked her motorcycle in the back alley of a hotel about five miles from the port. She dug out her mask and tugged it on, revealing nothing now except for her face below the nose. Her eyes were hidden behind a dark mesh screen. This, too, was another addition to her artillery after having learned the hard way from her experiences with the Japanese warrior.

She swung her way like a spider the rest of the way, perching out of sight in the imitation of London's clock tower above the port's filtering building. Her sharp eyes scanned the crowd of those deboarding below, narrowing to thin slits when she saw him. As if his body didn't give him away, the act of him fondling a random woman's rear end certainly did. She humphed under her breath and pondered her options.
She could kill him now, with just one well-aimed throw of her dagger, but where would the sportsmanship be in that? If she was going to be paid to enjoy her revenge, she might as well invest the time worthwhile to make it sweet.

So for now, she resolved to simply watch, making sure he didn't come with anyone who she could deem as a threat.

With the woman he was busy flirting with finally mouthing him a kiss as she boarded a coach to leave, Ryosuke returned the affectionate gesture with a 'flying' kiss of his own, winking at the completely gushing European woman. Ryo watched the coach troll away from the docks for a few moments enjoying the fact that even here, where he was a relatively unknown person, he was still just as desired by women.

Man I still got it...

Then, as quick as his encounter with the pretty young European woman was, he felt a sudden shift in the air. The hair upon the back of his neck is bristling, a feeling of deja-vu rising from deep within him. Stopping in his tracks, allowing the crowd to pass him by so he can move with them, he tried to blend in as much as he can, trying to shield himself from anyone who was watching him.

(The town of Arbroath, Scotland...)

Everyone scampered out of the fiend's path, his shady looks alone sending the villagers running for their lives. No one dared to confront Tai as he made his way through the small town, coincidentally a town made up of blacksmiths...

A knight, wearing heavy armor passed by Maiu, looking at her foreign features with curiosity as he dismounted from his steed.

"You! Foreigner! State your business!", the man bellowed, raising up the visor of his helm to expose his piercing eyes to Maiu.

"Just enjoying the view."Maiu said."That's not a problem is it?"Maiu tried to trick the knight into thinking she was just a traveler."Well,I should get going.I've got alot more places to visit."Maiu said in an innocent voice.

"Let me see your pass then miss...", the knight stepped in front of her, blocking her path in case Maiu tried to sneak away, "Please show me proper identification right now foreigner..."
