Yeah, I Believe the same as those who said it before.
our parents just expect better from us bc *if ur 2nd generation or more*
ur parents want u to have a better life then them.
when my mom tells me stories of how she had to live with my aunt and grandma and grndpa it just maks me upset how they could live like that...
and my step dad he lost his parents when he was young and had to take care of everything for his brothers and sister (lost them to the khmer rogue).
so, thats why i think thats why asian kids are pretty smart.
also if u dont pay attanetion and stuff u might get a smack down *i would get a smack down * haha.
but yeah i study hard bc i want to repay everything my mom has given me.
in her lifetime she made some bad mistakes and she lived harshly.
i want to grow up so i can take care of her.
i want to be able to let her have the things she wants :/
but thats just MY REASON for studying hard.

Asians aren't always smart. For example, I am on the route to flunking my math class and I don't remember alot of things that well. But now my mom says that if I get a F then I won't be able to go to Taiwan for the summer. I WANT to go to Taiwan to hang with my friends again.

I don't really think that the sterotype asians are natrally smart is true. I mean, hey, I suck at spelling, well English isn't my native, but anyway and History is boring. And people say we are short, no we are not. I'm 5' 10'' now pushing 5' 11''

saku_chan187 I dunno, lets see i just wanted to make this to see what happens...lol. Since i live in america and stuff lyke that i hear that phrase lyke twice a day or so. I am not a nerd, its just that i have good memory and can memorize the ansers before i quiz or test starts. yeah they give us extra study time.... Anyway, once you ace it cuz its soooo easy you get lyke a high grade. can be below a hundred or blah but still high. Do you classmates reason that you got that grade cuz you're asian??? Hm, personally i am really retarded so id take that as false but yeah lets see what people think...lets see some intersting replies people well i think its true cuz im azn and i barely actually try on anything academicly,and i mostly get A or B on any of my grades and tests, and hardly get a C,plus my parents dont work me hard into getting good grades, so yea thats my opinion xd

then when one of just seems to have intellage ppl will think its b/c ur asian

well i'm smart but not really my test scores are between average 'n higher.i nvr study but at least i get really a good gpa.so far i'm the smartest in my family

yeah, it's a typical Asian thing. It'sthe way we're brought up.
We come from more strict cultures, whereas most American families are just all about communication and fun with their children.
We tend to think about the future a whole lot more than other races, I guess.

:: asians being smart is obviously the parents. Seriously, my parents won't let me go on the computer, watch tv, or even draw on week days! They expect me to study from mon --> fri afterschool non-stop......they want me to earn a scholarship for college XD
