"Fine." Damaris said, not in a snotty tone but in a tone that showed she wasn't intimidated by her meeting with AJ in the least.
"Please don't punish Anoki though! It was my fault, and you're gonna talk to my dad, so leave Anoki alone...Please?" Damaris said almost pleadingly, she realized now that their little exchange of words had seemed to get the woman in more of a fierce mood and thus being a very bad thing for Anoki.
"I'm gonna be punished, so please don't make Anoki be punished too." She added adamantly.

Clearly she was out of practice, if both threats and blatant honesty had no effect. That, or this child was beyond her- no, that simply wasn't within the realm of possibility that Raven acknowledged. And now she thought a compromise was possible? Clearly she knew very little about life.
"I will not ignore Anoki Kenelm's transgressions simply because you chose to argue with me," Raven stated haughtily. "You both clearly need discipline, something I will ensure you get. Someday you may even thank me for it. In the meantime, you will simply have to deal with it.
"However..." Here Raven trailed off, thinking about the possibilities and what the best course of action would be. She didn't particularly like this upstart of a girl, but it was true that she had a few admirable qualities. If Anoki Kenelm grew a bit of a backbone, that wasn't a terrible thing- provided he didn't try to use it against her, of course.
Rolling her eyes slightly, she turned away. "I will not forbid you from seeing one another for the time being. It would make my life easier if I am able to survey you both simultaneously."
Anoki had closed his eyes while Raven was speaking- he knew from experience that arguing about where the blame fell was rarely productive. However, that last thing she said made him open his eyes in surprise. That sounded startlingly like some form of compromise to him, at least in terms of what he knew about her.

Damaris looked a little upset. She would have let it go more easily had Raven not said such horrible things about Anoki basically just being a chore. She would have let it go at that since she was his mother she would have had enough respect to let a parent deal with their child as they thought would be best for the child so long as it didn't go over the line.
But Raven didn't seem to think she was a parent so Damaris wasn't too keen on letting this issue go. "You really act like a mom, and you use a lot of those same words moms use. But you say you're not a mom. You don't make any sense." Damaris said.
"Sorry Anoki, I didn't mean to get you in trouble." Damaris said as she walked past Raven and gave Anoki a hug with the apology.
"I'll go back and wait for my dad now, bye Anoki!" Damaris said as she started to walk back towards the lobby petting Myung-Ki on the head before she left.

Raven nearly snorted, but instead just shook her head. "I have more important things to worry about than whether or not a child thinks I make sense. Perhaps you will understand when you're older. Either way, it makes little difference to me." No matter how one looked at it, at the end of the day, this girl was not her problem. Anoki Kenelm was arguable, but this thing was barely even an acquaintance, and therefore nothing to worry about.
"Now, this conversation is over," she finished, her tone implying that she would ignore any arguments to the contrary. "Come, Anoki Kenelm."
"I'm c-coming," Anoki stuttered, running after Damaris quickly, with Myung-Ki on his heels. Once he caught up, he bowed his head forward and clapped his hands together. "I'm really, r-really s-sorry about that."
Recognizing the sound of a long apology, Myung-Ki rubbed up against Damaris rather like a cat would. Most of Anoki's friends were annoying idiots, but this one seemed to have pretty good taste. She helped save him, after all!
Avoiding Damaris' eyes, Anoki stared pointedly at the floor. "S-she's not that b-bad, really. She j-just gets mad sometimes... b-but I'll m-make sure she's not t-too hard on you l-later. I'll tr-try my best... so p-please d-don't worry about it, okay?"

Damaris giggled a little, "It's okay, don't worry she doesn't scare me!" Damaris anonced with conviction. "I'm just sorry that I got you into trouble." Damaris said a little disapointed.
She giggled a little bit as well when myung-ki rubbed up against her, "Now you just try to keep Anoki out of trouble too," She said kneeling down to him, "After all with a mommy like that he's gonna need your help." She said and pet Myung Ki some more before standing back up.
" I need to go now, I bet my dad's waiting for me, so I'll catch up with you later! See you guys!" She said with a smile before turning around to go back to the lobby so that her dad could take her home.
