((Sorry, but my mom was stupid and wouldn't let me get on the computer...))
((Time to calm Hanuli down. biggrin ))
Smallstar was not moved by Hanuli's rude and disrespectful rebuke. He just looked at her in the eyes and didn't blink. Finally he replied. "Lightface is right. This life is hard, but the point of a Clan is not just just about savagely driving away other cats. Our territory is rough and prey is hard to get in the cold. No, a Clan is about being there to support each other, to protect and defend those weaker than our warriors. We provide for each other and give all we can to our Clan to survive. Your temper will not help anyone here, especially you," he paused. "I understand that your life without a Clan would be hard, but you must also understand the commitment in takes. This is a life of honor and pride." He looked at Hanuli again. She would not be reckless enough to start a fight. He respected this cat and wanted her to understand the life she would take on as a warrior. He kept his gaze on the cat and waited for her reply.

((>;D That all depends my good friend.
Sorry guys, I had school clubs to attend to.. -o-))
Hanuli glanced at Smallstar, her temper sparking reason. "I do not mind providing nor do I mind living in pridehood. Thats not what's important." She thought for a moment, 'It's like having a myriad of mothers... Right?' She showed no signs of submission but only pride of being who she is, "This is not my temper. This is a will that screams for companionship." Her eyes dilated sharply and gazed at all the wary eyes surrounding her. "There is no reason for your word for clan-hood if I cannot belong whilst still remaining myself. Rules do not change demeanor, it changes actions." She lowered her head but had a steady gaze towards the leader. She knew the consequences of living alone in a potentially hostile area and she felt her grip of pride loosening. Her chances of survival was horribly slim and deep inside, her 'wild' temerity was cracking,"I do not fear commitment. Your 'ways' cannot be as any different as the way of the wild." Frankly, she had a small respect welled in for Smallstar. He was not selfish enough to attack, nor speak of spiteful words buried inside twisted meanings. Dragoneyes wasn't technically on her terrible list but she didn't like all that second opinions or that sort of sweet talking. What could one expect? She'd lived through her own cub-hood under the strict law of precision and punctuality. No second thoughts were spoken and those who did... Were quickly silenced. Only the grand words of majority could break this law. The others, well... She hadn't cared for them enough for an opinion.
By now, she felt anxiety creeping up around her paws. 'I went too far.' Were they going to chase her out like a rabbit? Or was she indited to clanhood? The thought of forever being chased was not as appealing, nor was clanhood but... The lesser of two evils was the one she was willing to accept.

((Wow your posts are long. smile ))
Smallstar nodded. "You may stay here tonight. You will have my decision in the morning." He then dismissed them with a flick of his tail. "Just one moment Dragoneyes and Lightface. I'd like to speak with you both for a moment, privately." He waited for them to settle down again and then started. "Lightface?" he asked, "What do you think StarClan would approve of?" Smallstar would not make a decision without the support of StarClan.

Lightface paused, and then mewed, "I'm not sure, Smallstar....StarClan is different in many ways. They could let her, they may not. Let's just hope they accept her." She waited for the answer, before she spoke, "I hope they speak to me tonight. If they do, you will be the first one to know."

((Yeah, but my writing is mostly filled with fluff. -Cushiony!-))
Hanuli took her leave immediately, she didn't want to stay inside there any longer. The unfamilar smells in the den made it difficult for her to think, more or less talk sensibly. After having the feeling she had been walking around in circles for the whole conversation, the cool breeze sifted it's way through her fur. It was cold but unlike times before, it was inviting. Hanuli padded through the rugged grass, trying her best to avoid it and fetched her collar. There wasn't much she could do, the clasp was ripped and her furry little paws were unable to clasp it back on. Hanuli sighed and let it drop back onto the floor as a bug scurried away. Her eyes focused like a hawk towards the black beetle and soon her paws followed. She needed to get the whole idea off of her head and keep reality from breaking her small vertebrae of a back. Her paws were deftly swift as she managed to capture the bug, encasing it in her paws. It was squished before she had a chance to toy with it, and the stench was merely unbearable. Several sneezes passed as her eyes caught a cat figure... Or something of that sort. Hanuli couldn't pick up her scent firstly because of the wind and secondly, the whole place was cat tampered... The only thing that had a more rancid scent was that bug. Not knowing what to make of this strange bystander, she raised her tail up and glanced a blank stare at her.

Lightpaw was surprised to see Hanuli walk out of the den by herself. She perked up her ears and watched curiously as Hanuli pounced around and caught something between her paws. She looked almost like a kit prancing around like that. The wind rustled her fur. She resisted the urge to walk up and talk to the strange outsider. She was still weary of trusting Hanuli but couldn't convince herself that she was not interested in her. She wanted to talk to her but.....it was not something Lightpaw would do. Instead she sat quietly observing and listening for the other cats to come out of the den.

Dragoneyes nodded. "That is good." She turned to Smallstar. "So then... what is your decision? Or would you like to sleep on it?" Dragoneyes was anxious to know his answer, but she wasn't going to be disrespectful because of it. She yawned slightly, waiting for his answer.
Dragoneyes found this new cat to be fascinating. She hadn't liked her at first, but respect had wormed its way through her body at the cat's pride and fierceness. Hanuli seemed to be a different breed of cat, and yet, still had clan cat in her. It was definitely different, and it seemed to be a good different.
((By the way, lily, would you like Sirensong to send you a message? I know she was in Shadowclan, but I'm pretty sure she's the only cat in Starclan.
Edit: Okay, she's not the only cat in Starclan. However, the message is up in the Starclan forum, and you can chose to see it when Lightface falls asleep or something. Or you can just make it up or something like that... But itsd there if you want it.))

((Is it OK to give Hanuli a warrior name?))
Smallstar nodded to Lightface and turned to Dragoneyes. "I will sleep on it." He flicked his ears to dismiss the cats and then turned to lie down close to the entrance of the den. Hanuli seemed to have Clan cat in her, even though she was not born in WindClan. She had pride and strength, and could learn to be a Clan cat and to accept the warrior code. She was a bit old to be an actual apprentice, so she could be made a warrior, but shadow Dragoneyes. He shook his head to clear his thoughts and closed his eyes. He hoped that Lightface would get aproval from StarClan. He would make his decision in the morning.

Dragoneyes nodded in respect and walked out of the den. She nodded at Lightpaw, and walked over to sit by the entrance to the warriors den. She observed the going ons of the camp silently. Watching, Dragoneyes noted that it would be a cold night. She looked at Hanuli.
"Smallstar has decided to sleep on the decision, and he will tell you in the morning," she said to Hanuli.

(( Please can you? Sirensong would be great, since the only other cats in StarClan is a kit, and kits usually don't send StarClan messages.))
Lightface slept, hoping that StarClan would have a message for her.
