Sazanami nodded as Dimi said that she too was from Hokkaido. "The weather here is different." She said, still not making eye contact. She didn't know what to say to anyone anyway. She listened to the idea of staying close together, but she didn't understand how that would work. She was quite small in comparison to the elder kuniku, and she really didn't want anyone to carry her.

"I can walk." She repeated, not really caring whether anyone really listened to her or not. Sazanami didn't really know aanything about these strangers, but she gave them a little faith in the sense that she trusted them not to enough to not let her drown in the water. The floodwater that only reached the elder kuniku's ankles nearly reached her shoulders.

Now that he knew everyone was safe, or as safe as they were going to get at this time, Masao turned his attention to how they would reach the caves. He watched Dimi as she spoke to the little pup, and was pleasantly surprised to hear that she was from the northern island.

“I too come from Hokkaido.” He said but there was no time for reminiscing on his old home. Dimi gave her idea on how they should go about getting to the caves and he nodded. It sounded similar to how one might travel through a snowstorm with others.

“I’ll have to lead. I can find the way. The little one will be in the middle, flanked by you and Sanyu. The others can press in on the sides. How does that sound?” He was already up and ready to go. Sorano buried back into his long brown hair with twitter that was almost a sigh.

"If nobody has any objections, we should get into position and get moving." The water was rapidly rising, the sea behind them becoming more turbelent and the waves wilder.

Sazanami nodded, but she didn't move just yet. Although she had just spoken to Dimi, she didn't have a clue who Sanyu was. She looked around and realized that she had only talked to two of the several kuniku encased in the bubble. I guess I'll stay with them until the storm is over. she thought, looking outside the shield.

The water was indeed starting to rise, and even though she could fly she doubted she would be able to avoid all of the water. The water that her fur had soaked up had nearly doubled her weight, and it wouldn't be an easy task for her small, but relatively powerful wings.

It was easy to sense that Sazanami was a little uneasy. Dimi knew that not being able to trust in dire situations could end badly, so she figured she would just try to gain the pup's trust as soon as possible.
"Hey! Sanyu! Come on over here, we're gonna start heading inland, so we want to keep our newest friend safe in the middle bvetween us!" Dimi lightly yelled to the soaked pink kuniku that had just recently joined the group out of the storm.
"That's Sanyu." Dimi said to Saza (nickname yo!!) nodding towards the kuniku she had called for. "She's really nice. Emil and I just pulled her out of the storm, so between us, we'll make sure nothing happens to you or anybody else. C:" Dimi was trying to sound as nice as possible without acting as though the young Saza couldn't hold her own. Sadly, she was pretty sure she was failing at the whole not making her feel like a child being babysat -.-

(OOC- it's a cute nickname. XD)

"Okay." Saza said, with something of a smile on her face. She figured Dimi was okay, and at least they had Hokkaido in common. Saza's tail wagged a little, but it looked a bit like she was shaking instead. She looked over to the pink kuniku that Dimi had said was named Sanyu. Hopefully she'll be nice...

((OOC: Okay, I dunno if anyone else is going to get this, but sometimes you just get so annoyed with someone that you feel like everything they say sounds stupid and wrong and not just what they say but the way they say it and you just want them to go away, so that's where I was going with that confusing little paragraph.))

As Emil turned to look at Dimi when she spoke, a particularly strong wind caught him off guard, and with a lurch he toppled into the mud. A little yelp darted from his mouth like a desperate dog making a chase for a squirrel.
'How embarassing,' he thought as he picked himself off and tried to wipe sludge with the color and consistency of a slightly melted fudge bar off his fur.

"Erm, I'm alright. But that is a good idea Dimi. We can do that," Emil added with a little nod as he continued to attempt to get some of the muck out of already wet and dirty coat.

And then Masao started talking. He even said Sanyu's name nonetheless! Even in the midst of the storm, when Emil should have been thinking about something else, he was getting bitter again. He hated the way Masao said it. It just sounded all wrong in his voice, and the way he treated the word, like a china figurine set up on a shelf collecting dust gave Emil a bad taste in his mouth. He tried to snap himself back to the present.

Emil listened to Dimi talk to the child. He had almost forgotten about her. He hadn't really paid her any mind at all yet, but then again she didn't look like she wanted any more attention the way she averted everyones gazes and stared at her paws a lot.

"We really should get moving, is everyone ready? We could just sort of... make a break for it."

It seemed as though everyone was ready, so Inari prepared himself.

"All right, everyone into positions, right?" He watched as they scuffled about. "Er.... nobody minds if I walk in the middle with the pup as well do they? Only... I'm kind of, well, smallish." Inari scowled. He hated admitting weakness, he was the messenger of the gods after all! But he wouldn't be able to create a small shield for himself for quite some time let alone use any other magic once he let go of this larger shield.

Tithe lightly giggled at what Saza said, despite the storm- until Emil fell over and she really saw how agrivated everyone looked.
And oh man, how she regret taking a look at her fur.
It sent shivers down her spine, it looked as if she rose up from the grave- or was buried alive.

Hearing Inari's command, Tithe looked about (still a bit apprehensive) to see were everyone was.
Suprisingly, they had found all the kuniku and they were all safe!
No injuries.

That was a weight off her back.

"Sure, you can join us in the middle Inari" Dimi replied, afterall it was the least they could do to help him out after he had just spent most of his energy creating a temporary safezone from the weather.

Everybody began to assemble into a coloful muddy mob so that they could head inland. "Masao, you better stay close ot hte front since you know the way. The stronger of us should be on the outside of the group, and allow those who are weaker or really worn out to be kept towards the middle. Remember everybody, the fast you walk, the more you can slip. Slow and steady wins the race.. or doesn't get knocked on their bum in a big storm..."
Dimi thought to herself while hte rest of the kuniku got into position, Hopefully nothing disastrous happens to cause everyone to scatter...

Inari waited as the Kuniku assembled about him, shielding his small frame along with Sazanami's. He gave the pup what he hoped was a 'don't worry, I'm practically a god, you'll be safe!' smile, but wasn't sure how well it would translate. Although the Gods and their endless adoration of the Kuniku got on his nerves, he still had a soft spot for the pups. Those fluffy manes were just so cute! And they weren't bigger than him, for once!

"Once we get to the caves, I think there's something I need to talk to you about. So none of you had better get blown away! This is important!" He braced his small legs, and readied himself to take down the shield.

Saza got into her postion, standing to Dimi's right with Inari on her other side. I hope no one gets hurt, that could cause more trouble. she thought before silently sending a prayer to the gods that everyone would make it through the storm. Despite the fact that these were all strangers, she figured that she'd have to give them a little trust so that they all could work together. And after all, they were even allowing her into their group to protect her from the Oni Lord's menacing storm. Saza felt the skin beneath her fur heat up slightly from a rush of blood in the form of a blush.

"Oh... Thank you, everyone." Saza bowed her head in thanks, and in slight embarassment. She didn't want everyone to think that they had to take care of her, but she knew she probably wouldn't be able to survive on her own. I just hope I'm not a burden... Saza let out a soft sigh before she lifted her head and looked at Masao, trusting the male kuniku to lead everyone to safety. She was ready to go, and she even showed it by standing up straighter despite how inwardly miserable she felt for being wet and muddy.

Emil took one of the outside flanks after Dimi mentioned the stronger kuniku should stay on the outside. He didn't really feel that strong, but he puffed out his chest and tried to appear as strong as he could for the others.

Just a short trip, then they would be safe. Just don't get blown away, don't get blown away, please don't get blown away. What else did Inari have to tell them? The sooner they got to the caves, the sooner his curiosity would be quenched. That should serve as sufficient motivation, shouldn't it?

They were all just standing around, each of them trying to ready themselves and no one really doing anything. Emil felt a twinge of annoyance.

"Let's move on out!" he cried out to the others, trying to make his voice carry and not slip away with the storm, and then began walking.

Through the wind and rain, Emil's determined voice still reached Tithe's ears. Standing on the opposite outer flank of the group, Tithe rushed head-on, maybe a little too fast, and had to slow herself down to catch up to everyone else. Even though she knew running was a bad idea, it wouldn't fully register until she slipped or something.

Oh, how she was impatient.
The cave seemed right in front of her, yet the distance contridicted itself when it came to her feet.
It seemed endless.

Bijou awoke to the sound of the roaring wind and pounding rain. She had always been a deep-sleeper but this was ridiculous. All of her small pink body was soaked. This left her thin butterfly wings usless; Bijou was grounded.

This scene was much different from where she had been. Bijou came from Shikoku, where the weather was fine and full of cherry blossoms. She had hoped to meet more Kuniku, but apparently, she had flown over at the wrong time. The water around her was rising and the wind threatened to blow her petite body away with it. She began to slowly walk against the wind, hoping to run into someone else. This island was completely new to Bijou and she had no idea where to go.

Barely able to see, the situation seemed hopeless. She needed help; but Bijou hated asking for help. Admiting weakness is a hard thing for her. But she hated the thought of dying even more, so she did the only thing she could and began shouting out into the rain.

((trying to keep the rp going while waiting on people to post so that we can continue on to the caves))

Dimi took one last glance around before Inari took down the shields.
"Wait! I think i hear something." Dimi said, but only loud enough that kuniku nearby could hear her. "I'll be back, just give me a moment."

Dimi dashed off in the oposite direction of where they were headed following the sound that her sensitive ears had picked up. As she sprinted off she began to see more clearly a small pink figure in hte distance. Dimi wasn't sure whether it would be friend or foe, but she ran on until she reached it. Upon reached the soaked pink figure Dimi had to wonder whether this really was a kuniku. It had magnificent wings, though looked to be a ful mature kuniku. Only pups were supposed to have wings! Despite hte inner confusion, Dimi grabbed the petite kuniku by the scruff of her neck (since Dimi is much larger, this works. shhh!) and half ran, half waddled back towards the sphere, which was beginning to glow fainter and fainter. On the way Dimi did slip a time or two in hte nasty mud, but never let go of her strong, but gentle grip on the hapless creature.

They reached the bubble and Dimi set the pink bundle down before collapsing to regain her strength.
"Woah. That was way too close. You could have almost been left behind!" Dimi said between gasps of air. It was strange, Dimi had always been one of those kuniku that wanted to be in the limelight, but in this situation she really didn't care and just wanted for everyone to be okay. Maybe Dimi was maturing afterall.
