Liam glanced around nervously. Well, what was living without breaking the rules? And, rules were made to be broken...
Right?
You know, all the cliches?
Right?
Liam sighed. "Fine," he mumbled. "I suppose we could do a bit of... exploring."

Isabelle smiled sweetly at Liam, "Let's go," she said and walked to a door nearby she turned the ancient knob and opened the door. Stepping in the door closed behind the two leaving them in pitch darkness, so dark even vampiric light sensitive eyes could not penetrate its blackness, "Liam..." Isabelle said, "I can't see anything. Let's try and find a light switch."

Liam ran his hands along the wall next to the door.
"To hell with this," he said, producing a lighter. Its orange glow, although small, was plenty bright in the overwhelming darkness of the room they now stood in. The room was completely and utterly empty, but the scent of bleach was harsh on Liam's nostrils, as if someone was trying to hide something...
Blood.
The underlying coppery smell hit his sense receptors and he felt his stomach growling for sustinence.
"What happened here?" he gasped.

Mike watched the two walk into the room, the door closing behind them. He knew better than to follow. Besides, if they were going to ignore their basic survival instincts, who was he to stop them from being killed. Something told him to stay out of that room so out he stayed. Instead, he inspected the door and the surrounding wall, to look for a reason for why he felt the need to stay out.

Isabelle looked around the little light allowing her plenty of light to see details in the room, not that there were any to see. "Ugh..." she said getting a slight headache from the smell of bleach, she also smelled the blood, getting closer to a wall she looked at it closely, she saw splatters of old blood on the wall and more on the floor around it; walking around she found a stained area that was once a wet puddle of blood bending down she ran a hand over it and shivered, "Someone was murdered in here." she whispered.

Mike initially ignored the terrified male, instead choosing to stare at the door, but when he registered the slight fear in the boy, he turned to him and scribbled a note. You did nothing except call for help and then tried to turn us away. He turned back to the door and took mental notes of it. 'Old, wooden, the way it closed it's heavy, possible ash. Very scratched up, closer to the bottom it looks like there were claw marks and a stain, blood maybe. Can smell bleach, small trace of blood, but that seems to be coming from inside the room.' He looked to the right of the door and noticed a small item on the ground. He bent down to pick it up and examine it.

Mike ignores Yank O's question and picks up the item on the floor: a dried flower. The leaves were palmate, the blooms hooded and clustered, though he could not identify the color. He turned and handed the dried flower to Yank O, scribbling him a note. Aconite?

Liam couldn't help but to snort.
"Yeah, no s**t," he said sarcastically, putting an arm over his nose to filter out the stinging scent of bleach, burning his nostrils. "And they did a bang-up job trying to hide it," he continued, still sarcastic.

He took the flower from mike and examined it as mike scribbled something on a paper"oh,this flower is from a unique type, its called the..." then he was interrupted by mike"aconite??i wonder what is the meaning of that word?"he stared at mike"this flowers name is called the hollyhock,it only grows in japan, i wonder what has brought it to Chicago???"
PostPosted: Sat Jan 05, 2008 8:27 am

It makes sense for hollyhock to be here; hollyhock is a garden favorite. There was a garden in the courtyard, at least, an area for one. Mike shook his head, unsure of where that information came from. Aconite is scribbled on the wall there he pointed to where he found the flower a few times. That doesn't make sense if this is hollyhock.

He looked at the wall carefully"oh no mike, its not Aconite! its acolite, and the spelling is wrong too,it should be A-C-O-L-Y-T-E and which means a follower or helper,or some one who helps the priest in some religious ceremonies !" he thought a little bit" it may make sense if this place was a tomb or something and the repeated word is the number of Acolytes that helped in graving someone!"he said to mike and continued"and the hollyhock was from someone who visited this tomb a several of times,it makes perfect sense!"

Isabelle chuckled, looking back at the blood stain she frowned, she placed a hand on it. "I wish I had my sister's powers, she's 5 years younger than me but if she were to touch this stain she would know what happened." She sighed, "We need to find out what happened here."

Mike looked at Yang O and shook his head. Problem is, I'm sure they would have spelled acolyte right if that were the case. Also, smell what's behind the door: bleach and blood. That is not what a tomb smells like; that's what a murder scene smells like. Mike moved aside so Yang O could come closer and confirm the smell.
