Soleil watched in awe as her candy orange fell apart in Selenil's hand. When the purple-haired boy picked up the newly hatched Serpenti, she finally wiggled in a mix of emotions and gently touched a fingertip to the baby's skin, just to make sure it was real. Omigosh! Her heart fluttered a moment in thought of caring for a little life, but her cheeks suddenly flushed pink as she looked to Selenil. Are...we still going to share it? she near squeaked to the other.

Selenil looked at her, then looked back at the baby. "It's not really a pet...." After looking the baby over a second. "He's, not really a pet," he corrected himself, nodding. "But...If you want to then-Ow!" Selenil tried to pull the baby away from his head as it gave a nice yank on his hair.

The girl stressed her lower lip a moment before errupting with giggles, her fingers working gently to loosen the hatchling's fingers from the older boy's hair. Well, I've been wanting another little brother, she offered through giggles, her eyes watching the baby some. But do you think we should take him to the nursery, just to make sure he isn't somebody's baby? Perhaps it was simply her maternal instincts, but now that the egg had proven to be something she couldn't eat, worry was setting in. The thought of having a baby then losing it somewhere near made her want to cry.

"That would probably be a good idea." Selenil nodded. "I wouldn't want to take someone else's baby after all!" He frowned. "No matter how cute he is! Because I wouldn't want someone else taking mine."
The baby gave our a gleeful, but sleepy, giggle and one and grasped onto one of Soleil's fingers.

He's super cute, Soleil agreed, giving her finger a gentle wiggle as she smiled brightly to the little'n. The older boy that tends to the nursery should know who he belongs to...if he belongs to someone. Should we head that way? She finally broke her gaze from the small Serpenti to the older one that held him, her expression not quite legible as her mind ran away with itself.

Selenil nodded as he finally got his hair away. "Do you want to carry him, or should I?" He asked, shifting slightly.

Oh...can I carry him? she asked, blushing softly as she held out her hands to take the sleepy baby. She smiled brightly as she looked between Selenil and the little'n, and inwardly hoped with all her heart that if this infant wasn't spoken for, he wouldn't be taken away. After all, neither Selenil or Soleil herself were very old.

Selenil nodded and held him out carefully, placing the baby in her hands. He chuckled as he picked his instrument back up, setting it in his lap for the moment.
Letting out another giggle, and curling his tiny little tail, the baby wiggled it's hands out at Soleil's hair, seeking a new target perhaps.

Soleil carefully shifted the little wiggler in her arms so that she could brush her hair over her shoulders, and pressed a kiss to his forhead before looking towards Selenil with a soft smile. Should we go now, just in case somebody's looking for him?

The bbya let out a tiny, and quite audiable, squeak when she kissed him, wiggling around a little more.
Selenil laughed and nodded, holding his insturment and picking up her oranges. "If someone is, they'll be missing a little cutie like that."

That would be heartbreaking indeed, Soleil sighed before she snuggled the little'n close to her. With a soft laugh she pressed another kiss to his forhead and looked back to Selenil. Have you ever been to the nursery before? she asked, keeping her tangerine eyes on the boy as she started to lead him off towards the large construction that was likely crawling with infants at the moment.

Selenil shook his head. "Not that I remember. I mean, I assume I was at one point." He laughed a little. "But not after I hatched." He nodded. "Have you?"

I'm pretty sure we all start out in the nursery...Unless there're adults in the home we're going to live in at least. she laughed, blushing faintly as she was hatched in the nursery, and spent some time there before going to live with her mum. I went back not long ago with my mum to collect a couple new eggs that she brought to live with us. I don't know if they've hatched yet, but they're both going to be pretty, I just know it! She gave the little guy another snuggle and offered a bright smile to Selenil as she continuted to lead him from the nice little area they'd sought out back across the property towards the nursery.

"Ah, that sounds exciting!" Selenil laughed. "I wandered away a little after I was hatched, and I haven't been back since." He nodded.
With a little wiggle and yawn, the baby eventually fell asleep.
