The one above is fairly recent. It was this year during a speical event where students hung out with the new incoming freshmen and showed them around the school. Pretty fun.
3nodding Apples to Apples is a word card game. The "green apples" are cards with Adjectives on them. The "Red Apples" are the cards with the nouns on them. A "green apple" is placed face up. Everyone reads the describing words and has to pick one of their "red apples" that the feel best matches the "green apple"
You can get stuff that's all crazy like, "honest pond scum", "magical viagra",
even "hot and sweaty Richard Simmons"
gonk We like to say the Richard Simmons card is the trump card of the entire deck. He goes with just about anything....
Heh, that's weird. The one of you two at the con or whatever it was, you both look quite a bit older. Sounds fun! At my last school, the 6th formers (the year you're in and the one before) did that for the years 7s (first year of high school, although we only have primary and secondary, no middle schools. They're 11/12yrs old in yr7.) And they got to slide through muddy tunnels and such...
xd I dunno if the one I was at before does that sorta thing now; when I was in yr7 there, it was in it's first year as a school.
Hehe, we just use bits of paper to play that. You write "the" then a random adjective, say "spotted" then fold it over and pass it to the person on the left, and you get given the paper from the person on the right. Then you write an object/animal/person, eg: "octopus", and pass it on, then a verb, eg: "skipped" then a preposition, eg: "under" then the next person writes "the" and another adjective, passes it on, another object/animal/person. Yeah, you get some pretty strange things from that, too...
xd And then there's another version, with *boys name* and *girls name* were *verb* *preposition* a *place/object* he said *question* she said *answer*. The questions and answers are always brilliant, and if you play it with celebrities names, the pairings are usually amusing too.
Who's Richard Simmons?
