Yeah, living in the US does stink. I wish I could have grown up with Doctor Who as part of normal television instead of just finding out about it now.

yeah but you have heroes!!! it's only just finished season 1 here in the UK.......
Yeah, okay.. I'll admit I love that show almost as much as I adore DW, but still.... >>;

Ive finally seen it all! i thought it was kinda sad though

Yeah, have to admit I cried. Well, not until it'd finished. Dad thinks I'm weird if I cry at Doctor Who. Some of the scenes in the final quarter of an hour or so are just heartbreaking.

On a lighter note, the overnights say that it got 12.2 MILLION viewers! It peaked at 13.8M in the last 15 minutes or so, and the final five minutes were watched by over 15M!!

This is the highest rating Doctor Who has had since it came back! Read more here...

I enjoyed the episode, liked it alot more than last years christmas episode. Too bad about some of the casualties, my second favorite semi-main(lol) character of that episode died almost first, and not in a heroic way either.
(talking about marvin who just walked off )

My sister thinks it's odd too, but I cried at least once. Yeah, some stuff in the last 25 minutes are pretty moving.

Wow, 15M people in the UK alone just to see the previews trailer? o_O
I finally got to see it, in eight parts, but worth it!!!

Veoh - VotD part 1
Veoh has it in good quality if you don't make it full-screen, just leave as-is when you watch it.

Woo for the Doctor! He certainly shut that annoying rich guy up!

Oh, and I caught quite a few references to all sorts of things, like when the Doctor was shouting out numbers and one was '42'. xD
And "Oh, one of these days it'll be real snow.".. oh yes, and "Christmas is a time of peace, and thanksgiving, and...oh what am I going on about, Christmas is always like this!" rofl
Describing the Earth and Christmas legends and traditions was really funny too. rofl

It was definitely better than last year's mainly 'cause you really got attached to the characters, rather than Donna who just yelled at the Doctor..

I have to say, I'm actually pleased that Kylie was in the special, and first impressions are never correct.. ^^;;
I don't like her music much but she was really good in this.. why can't she be the companion rather than Donna? confused

I cried in the last bits too, it was so sad crying
and I to thought that Kylie did a great job, I mean when I first heard that she was in the special I thought she would be pretty bad but I was pleasently surprised, But I really hoped that Astrid would live, she would have been a great companion

Did anyone else love Bannakaffalatta, I thought he was awesome
