Why wouldn't that work? Some type of contest and the winner gets stuff. I can possibly chip in a free avy art for the winner.

It is a nice idea i theory, but we dont want people posting spam just to get stuff. Maybe if it was more like Marty's tournament? Get stuff for doing something in relation to martial arts. In the ABG at the moment they are running an essay competition, maybe somebody could run a smaller monthly version of that. Every month guild members can submit a short article on any aspect of martial arts, these are then voted on by members and the winner gets stuff.

I don't think that's fair. I'd obviously win every month. xd

The prize wouldn't have to be big. I probably could stretch to 1k or more per month, malyndah said she's do some art, and you're quite handy when it comes to that sort thing huh? There's also the supreme honour and kudos you'd gain from being crowned uber high champion of all things martial arty for a month... Who wouldn't want that? Maybe the winners could have some kind of special guild banner? I can knock up some of those, like the badge with a golden crown and a link to the winning article? I think a very nominal entry fee would be a good idea, say 10-50g, just to boost the prize fund a bit and prevent people submitting any old bollocks. I think there would to be a standing rule that there would have to be at least two competitors for it to go ahead...
if people think this is a good idea I might run it
