"Well, Two heads are better than one... and three are better than two. We will be able to figure this out together. We'll find Hargun... and Angelina... and we'll figure out this puzzle." Ambrose nodded, half trying to convince himself.
Ambrose continued further away from the helipad, still nose-blind and clinging more to hope than any real direction sense.
((To be continued tomorrow when we get up - and we'll transition to the Jungle then :3 ))

Colche woke a long time after the others it seemed. She was a heavy sleeper though, or had become one since the cheetah had become a part of her daily life. She awoke now, slowly, her huge blue eyes opening to look at the scene around her. Licking her dry cracked lips, she blinked a few times trying to assess where she was. her brow furrowed, the last thing she had heard was a big bang. Heavy sleeper she was but she couldn't sleep through an explosion.
Still she had seemingly blacked out and now she awoke, dozely and dazedly outside instead of inside her duplex. She definately remembered being in there when she went to sleep, she had dozed off happily in Aubrey's lap.Rubbing her eyes once again she recognised where she was. thsi was wheer her life had started, wheer it had all proverbally begun for her. She crawled from the undergrowth where she had been unceremoniously dumped. She had a few scrapes on her and a very sore head right now but the over powering burning stench made her forget her ills pretty quickly. She sat on her bottom with her legs crossed looking at the helicoptor, it's contents burnt to a cinder, it's occupants blacker than the ace of spades. She frowned. Were they real people? She wasn't entirely sure if they were or not, they smelt like burnt things and it burnt her sensitive nose to sit there and look. Still she stayed silent and looked on her brow constantly creased. She had come on the helicoptor, did that mean people went on it too? Christopher robin hadn't gone to school in a helicoptor, but Aubrey said she wasn't going to school. The helicoptor wasn't the only way to go was it? She was confused..Very confused why wasn't she in her duplex? Where was Aubrey? The fur on her neck stood on end suddenly she felt afraid for the first time in a long time, very afraid.

A tattooed figure approached the helipad, gagging lightly at the smell and holding a hand over her face as she came into view of the crash.
Holy s**t.
From her vantage, all she could see was the back of the helicopter, so she had no idea about the scorched bodies. Antony didn't even notice another person there, her eyes wide as she stood dumbstruck.

Colche's huge blue eyed gaze finally left the heli coptor. her eyes were a bit sore the smoke had made them a bit hazy. At a glance the woman looked, amidst the debree and the smike almost like Aubrey "Aubrey?" she called scampering to her feet and running towards the woman a little frantically though she came to an abrupt and skidding halt (she couldn't yet stop on a dime as a real cheetah could) tumbling tail over tit and landing unceremoniously at Antony's feet. She pouted then, why wasn't it Aubrey? Tears, huge wet tears rolled down her cheeks, following those tear lines which had formed because of what she was becoming. She sniffled quietly, if Aubrey was gone who did could she turn to now?

Antony turned her head, thinking she heard her name, or someone pronounce it poorly. Instead, a young girl tumbled to her feet. Not only was she naked, but she looked more like an animal than anyone she had previously met on the island.
And then she started crying. What was Antony supposed to do? It was obvious that this girl was young, confused, and utterly terrified, and Antony had always been horrible with kids.
Her breath caught in her throat at a highly implausible scenario, and she immediately knelt down and took the girl in her arms with wide eyes, "Were... Were you in ...Did you survive?"
If she had been on the helicopter, Antony needed to get her help.

"Aubrey, Aubrey" she mumbled pointing at the helicopter tears falling down her cheeks in dredges now. Her ears flattened and she clung to the woman whom held her snifflingloudly "Aubrey!" she said again clinging tightly to the older woman she didn't even know. Aubrey had never had fur or feathers or scales, but she had always been her mother figure on the island, the other islanders were extended family but Aubrey, Aubrey had rescued her. She wept openly her body shaking as her slightly clawed finngers gripped at Antony's top. Her innocent blue gaze lifted suddenly looking at the woman a little frightened, no woman had ever done her wrong so antony came immediately under the description of nice.
As Antony spoke to the dark haired girl she looked a little confused, the words didn't make a whole lot of sence to her, the word survive was far beyond her limited vocabulary "woke there" she pointed at the bushes "island home" She licked her lips her brow furrowing, it was a question to how exactly she had managed to get these words out between sobs "Aubrey> where Aubrey?" her tear stained eyes looked deeply at Antony, begging her to know where she was, maybe, maybe because she wasn't changed she knew where Aubrey was? Maybe, it was a false hope maybe, Aubrey was going on a trip, she promised she would be back soon, she would be back soon wouldn't she? he looked at the burnt out helicoptor, the two bodies in the front seats, who were they? Her heart sank as her mind put two and two together "Aubrey" she sniffled again, her gaze falling on the ground shivers running through her slender body.

Tensing as the girl clung to her, Antony tried to be as comforting as she could considering the situation. The news that this girl wasn't on the helicopter caused her to relax somewhat. That was good at least. Otherwise, she herself didn't know what was going on. Nor was she able to put name to face with this Aubrey woman the young girl had mentioned.
She had to blink back surprise when this girl wasn't able to speak 'properly.' Clearly this girl wasn't young given the development of her body, but she spoke like a child. In fact, she was acting quite like a child.
What had Moreau done to her?!
Shaking her head, Antony sighed, "Who is Aubrey?" She wished she could be of better help to this poor girl.
When Colche glanced towards the helicopter, Antony frowned, a sickening feeling creeping up her throat. The hair on the back of her neck prickled as well. Carefully, Antony squeezed out from Colche's tight embrace, ignoring any damage her claws inflicted on her.
"Stay here, I'm going to check..." She gave her a friendly smile, in hopes that this girl wouldn't think that she was abandoning her.
Antony had to see for herself...

Colche's ears flattened as antony left her, stay there, she knew that statement so she sat rooted to the ground. She didn't want to go back there. She glanced away towards the villiage, how had she gotten here in the first place? She nibbled her bottom lip, blood seeping down her chin as she performed this habbit she had had for a long time. When she was nervous she bit her bottom lip, or her tongue, usually her lip suffered the worst casualties blood often making a swift decent down her chin. Taking a deep breath she peered after the woman whom had comforted her. she didn't want to look at the helicoptor again what if it was Aubrey? Aubrey promised she would come back, she promised" she trembled again her arms wrapping around her chest. as she waited the older woman to return. alot of her scars had vanished with the dawn of fur but some could still clearly be seen on her chest, neck face and wrists. her wrist callus had never really faded one day it probably would when her form changed compleyely. Her huge, beautiful blue eyes marked Antony's progress, she wanetd to know it wasn't Aubrey, the girl would know right? Her eyes pleaded after Antony, shwe would come back and say it wasn't Aubrey, Aubrey had promised to come back, she'd promised!

Colche looked at the Helicopter for a moment longer before her gaze followed Antonys quick removal of herself from it's vecinity to the bushes. She avoided looking at the burnt device shuffling quickly towards Antony. Eventually she sat, with her back to the blackened wreck, she was still crying though she was trying to chock back her tears with quiet sobs "villiage, villiage" it felt a bit necessary to repeat everything right now. She took Antony's hand and pulled her away from the bushes away from the wrek, away from the fear of who was in the helicoptor. She breathed heavily as she ducked away from the smoking wrekage, panting for a moment, her eyes filled with an awful sadness which hadn't been in her eyes for a long time. Colche had never seen death, she knew what pain was, but death, that was another matter entirely, she didn't want to beleive. t wasn't Aubrey, it couldn't be Aubrey! Shje told herself. It couldn't be her she promised she would come back! "Aubrey, no Aubrey" she whispered to herself hoping to get away from the carnage as swiftly as possible.

She barely had time to wipe her mouth before Colche began dragging her away from the helipad, away from that awful smell. "Yes, village," Antony confirmed, pace quickening.
Unlike Colche, Antony had been exposed to death, but that was only in the movies. She had never seen death in real life. Never once, and she never wanted to see it again.
And suddenly, she couldn't get away from the helipad fast enough, pace picking up alarmingly. This girl was part animal, so she could keep up with her right? "Back to the village," she repeated, for both their sakes.
This place just kept getting more and more ******** up.

The Disagreement.
James was on his way back to the island on a routine delivery, however each time he flew this course that he knew by heart despite not referencing any maps or guidence towers, no matter how innoculous of a purpose, it seemed to take him longer and longer. The burden of what his job was requiring of him sat heavier in his stomach. Even if he was just bringing supplies, he was doing it to help the b*****d.
And of course, the dozens of innocent faces he had seen in his cockpit on one-way trips. Some of them were kids for Chrissakes... kids!.
And he had already gotten a heads up from the doctor that there would be another arrival in the near future. James had been readily approaching the last straw for some time now.
What Moreau had on him was bad. It could get him put away for a long time. Hell, he had done many things in his life that he wasn't proud of. But it was time to put his foot down. Maybe they'd never appreciate it, and Moreau would likely just find a replacement. But help like him was hard to find. And James knew that.
As he got close to the island he picked up the special, short-range radio and signalled the labs. He wanted to talk to Moreau. He had something for him.

Moreau noticed the signal. He wasn't expecting James back for anything imporant anytime soon. But he obviously had something very important for him. Moreau's interest was piqued. Even as James approached the island Moreau was already driving to the helipad, wasting no time getting this taken care of.
He had two guards with him in the front seat acting as choffer for him. He'd let them do the driving and possibly transport of the new subject. If it was an unexpected subject he needed to be prepared for anything.
He'd been in a foul mood anyway with this Aubrey business...

James looked pessimistically at the skies as he brought the chopper in for a landing. The darkness was just on the horizon, but storms in the Triangle had a tendency of springing up suddenly and violently.
He saw the red hair from the skies before the massive black Helicopter had even come to a complete landing, waiting by the tarmac in a jeep. Once the rotors stopped spinning, James unfastened himself, and hopped down onto the asphault.
There was no one else with the immense black man, however. He crossed his arms across his barreled chest and approached the doctor with a steely resolve that came with years of training.
"I got your shipment, Doctor. But expect this to be the last one. I'm out." He sliced his hand in the air for emphasis. "I'm not doing your s**t work any more. No more sentencing kids to your experiments. And I don't care what you tell people."

Jamal had spent much of his day outside, hiding away in the jungle for fear of some sort of retaliation from someone...ANYONE...for trying to take down Antony. It was an irrational fear; not many people would mess with the man when he was human, let alone now when he was armed with natural weapons.
It was today also that he decided to take a tour of sorts about the island, having never gone west of the mountain even during his stint out in the wilderness, and had ended up on the outskirts of the jungle where the helipad was located (he didn't realize it was the same helipad he'd come in on). The faint remains of acrid char was still faintly detectable, but from what, he didn't know as he'd never come across the crashed helicopter. He had explored the area a little and found little worth remembering.
However, when the rumbling of an engine caught his acute hearing, he slunk away into the underbrush and hid himself in the shadows while also trying to look and see what was going on. He wasn't stupid enough to put himself out in public if staff were coming; they were more likely to zap his a** down than to ask questions.
The red-haired man in the jeep was not recognizable, nor were the guards, but the helicopter that soon landed produced the same big black man he had recognized as the guy who had dropped him off her. Jamal repressed a growl, eyes narrowing sharply, and held his tongue. Something was up...he could tell by James' body language.
He had to strain his ears to catch the man's steeled words and was inwardly pleased that SOMEONE on the staff was showing some remorse for their part in this. Even if it was just the helicopter pilot.
