"I'm from England originally, but I moved to New York when I graduated high school." Emerwyn was interupted, however, when another figure began to approach. She pushed her glasses up her nose to see better. It was Lauren, and she had changed.
Am I the only one left now? She'd still been counting down two weeks. Time was running out.

Amaya blinked, her head spinning around to see a slightly changed Lauren. Her hands, ears, and eyes were a bit weird... but other then that she didn't look much different. "Hey Thorn." She said rather unenthusiasticly.

"England? That's neat. I'm from the states... Pennsylvania, to be spesific. You heard of it?" Her question was pretty much directed at all of them, though she was making a point at trying to ignore Lauren. She was in a good mood and really didn't feel like getting in an argument right now.

Lauren smiled back, not having the terribly welcoming greeting she expected. She sat down next to Amaya. "So, what's going on? Anything.... different?" She hinted obviously wanting someone to talk about her changing.

Hargun watched as Lauren sat down then shot a glance at Amaya. She caught on a little to Amaya's ignoring of Lauren and titled her head a bit. She remembered her not wanting to discuss her earlier, but felt it was a tad out of her place to not play along. "Oh Ive never been to Pennsylvania.. most of the Westward states and down south. Im from Oregon." she said and looked to Emer. "From England? Really? Is it pretty nifty out there?"

Emerwyn wasn't exactly sure she liked Thorn very much. She didn't fully trust anyone who liked the Doctor. But she would not ignore someone like that. "Hi, Thorn, how are you?"
Then she turned to the conversation that was only spurred on by the desire to leave Thorn out.
"Well, I couldn't say much for it. I didn't really see much of it. I'd never even been to England until I moved to America. My parents pretty much shut me in my whole time living there. I was home-schooled, too. It was the perfect release to move to New York. And," she motioned to Amaya. "I would hope I knew where Pennsylvania, considering our close proximity."

"Not really. Things have been pretty average." Average as things could get on an island where you turned into an animal. "Oh! Do you guys know Ambrose?" Amaya quickly sat up, grinning her sharp teeth. Maybe if she let them in on her fencing lessons they would be interested too! Though Hargun might not be able to hold an epee... danm. There went that idea.

"Aww..." She genuinly sounded sad that Hargun haden't been to PA. "I love Pennsylvania. Mostly it's just cows, corn, and Amish but... it's away from everything, which makes it so awsome." Yuck, now she was getting herself homesick. "I've never been out of PA though so... yeah." Her shoulders gave a light shrug at this.

Her eyes widdened as Emerwyn had said she was from New York of all places. "Wow, you lived in the big city?" She winced visably, unable to stand the city herself.

Thorn accidently emitted a low growl at the fact that either no one cared or got her hint about talking about her change. She caught herself putting her claws up towards her mouth, "Excuse me..." She said politely.

Jeez, what was with her? Wouldn't she just normally be pissed and walk away. She didn't need them.

But for some reason she felt compelled to be around people even if they didn't accept her in immediatly, she could at least try.

"I've never been to Pennsylvania either, only Washington and California really." Thorn has never been much of anywhere. California was the first time she had been out of her own state. Why she chose California to run away to she never really knew, just sounded adventurous in a way. "Amish sound fun, they have the hats!"

It was almost as if the akward Lauren before her mother died was comming back out. Trying to insert herself further into the conversation, "Yeah but the big cities are pretty much all the same as far as the alleys and streets go, or so I've heard." Many people she was around told her the same stories, nothing much changed only the people around and the weather.

Living on the streets in New York during the winter would so totally suck.

"Im prone to cows and corn... uh.. maybe not Amish." Hargun laughed. "And I dont go near big cities usually. Theyre too intimidating.. to me at least. A quiet town's good enough for me. And yea Amaya, I know Ambrose.." she said then raised an eyebrow. Amayas remark came a little out of no where.

She started to sway a bit, her butt getting a bit numb.

"Cali's pretty neat, well the attractions are.. never actually stayed there for a long time. Pretty much only for vacation."

"Ambrose? Yes, I know him. He's really nice." She remembered that he'd asked her to visit him if she ever wanted to talk... She made a mental note to do so.
Then the conversation veered back.
"I've never been as far as California, but I have been to Pennsylvania. My friend, Ketta, loved Amish country... We'd go to Lancester County..." she trailed off. The memories became painful.

"California? So you were on the other side of the contry..." Yeah, so she couldn't leave someone out of a conversation if it killed her... sue her. She gave out a small laugh at the whole 'straw hats' thing. "Yep! Straw hats, horse buggies, clydsdales pulling plows, the whole nine yards." Her frown then returned though as she lay back onto the grass once more. "That's why I don't like the city... it's too much like a cardboard cut out. The people and scenary never change. In the boonies things are constantly changing, even if it's as subtle as a tree being struck down by lightning." Amaya's hands went back up to prop underneath her head.

She then turned to Hargun, but announced her newfound hobby to all. "He's actually teaching me how to fence! I got my first lesson the other day, it was pretty fun. And it's something to get your mind off being insanely bored around here." Her long toes curled and uncurled as they waved from side to side in an expression of happiness.

Amaya then perked up even more as Lancaster was mentioned. "I lived in Lancaster! Down in Nottingham, actually." The change in Emerwyn's mood seemed to elude her.

Thorn was happy to be in the conversation again. It only took a little patience and a lot of persitance to butt her way in and while she wasn't patient she was definately persistant. "Yeah, I was I suppose, I wonder where we are now?" It suddenly occured to her that not even she knew where she was. "And I donno, I loved it at first, fun and adventurous but after a while I missed my small town and my friends." She chuckled a bit nervously.

"Ambrose... I've met him briefly. So, you're fencing?" She imagined Amaya in a three musketeer outfit, large feather and all and couldn't help but chuckle at that thought. "I don't know how you can get bored out here with so much wild life but to each their own." Thorn layed down in the grass looking up at the sky, it was a beautiful day and felt good to be outside in the sun. Ahh... the sun!

The sun felt better than usual and Thorn wondered why.

Hargun just started laughing all of a sudden. "I wouldnt be able to fence now.. you know that... with an epee at least..." she said. "One of my fingers if long enough to qualify as one."

After grinning and giggling to herself she gave a curious look at Lauren. "Ive wondered that myself... maybe we're in the Carribean.. or somewhere around there? Its actually pretty warm out here. And I havent found it very boring actually. Looking at my daily schedule it does seem monotonous, but.. heh.. Im getting on just fine."

All of a sudden she remembered her sketchbook again. This was the second time in a while she actually considered it. "Cant draw anymore.. just remembered. Usually thats what I did every day before I changed." frowning she attempted to grab a stick off the ground, only it was very unstable in her grip. "See.. cant even hold a utensil up right."

The conversation was drifting everwhere, and Emerwyn was getting lost on her own thoughts. When she came to again, she figured now was a good time to get back to her room and curl up with some tea... maybe do some writing...
She picked up her medicine and coat.
"Um, I'd really better be leaving. Thank you - it was nice talking... really."
She nodded to each of them. "Amaya, Lauren, Hargun."
She started to walk away, coughing again, loudly. She took her bottle and sipped from it.

"I have no idea either." Amaya just shrugged, somewhere in the ocean on an island didn't really narrow it down. "The wildlife does do a lot for me, but it can't keep me occupied for long. I start thinking too much." She motioned to her head and frowned. Thinking was bad, which is why she sought so much human contact.

Her frown deepened even more as she watched Hargun. She desperatly wanted to say "I'm sorry" but what would that accomplish, really? "Well, would could always learn to draw with your toes. People who have lost arms have picked up painting with their feet." Yeah, that was a little better then saying sorry.

As Emerwyn walked away, she waved. "Bye Emerwyn! You take care okay?" Amaya sat up and winced as she coughed, saying quietly to the group and kind of to herself. "I hope she's alright... She looked really sick."

An idea flashed into Lauren's brain as she sat up, "Well, you have pen like fingers, you could dip them into ink and it would do just as good as a pen!! Just keep dippin' them in the ink when you run out. It would create kick a** art I bet!" She was surprised Hargun hadn't thought of ways around her new disability since she loved art so much. "And useing your toes would work too!" She wondered if her hands would be able to draw still. If anyone could think of a creative way around that sort of situation it was Lauren. Adapt to survive!

She waved at Emer, "Bye, nice talkin' to ya too. Hope you feel better." She wondered why Emer always seemed sick.
