Chaos nodded a little too vigorously and kept walking.
Pond giggled as if to say, It's done that before.
"Well, we're almost there," she said after a while as they neared a small stream. Turning to follow the stream's current, she splashed in and out of it, shaking her paws dry every she hopped out. "Brrr," she said, "Yep, it's the mountain stream we follow!"

Zinnia followed after Chaos with a good pace that enabled her to keep up and keep Chaos in view. For fun, Zinnia tried jumping over the river at all points that Chaos entered it. Sometimes she made it without getting wet, other times she got her feet wet in the still cold water. She looked out toward the mountain stream they were following and noted how high it appeared. "Ever climb the mountain before? It looks like it might be fun to do sometime."
(I wanted Zinnia to say something in this post rather than silently follow Chaos, hence the mountain comment)

(Sorry, they're not following the mountain, they're following the mountain stream, but I forgot to type the word stream sweatdrop )
"I haven't, but Treasure has," Chaos said, "I wanted to, but she said it took her so long to find her way back after she got lost up there she never wants to go back." She looked up at the mountain, "I suppose we can try climbing it after we get something to eat, this stream should take us pretty far up."
Pond was just watching the mountain with wide eyes, feeling smaller and smaller the longer he looked up at it. He scurried along the side of the streambank, catching up alternately to Zinnia and Chaos as they came on his side of the shore.

"Hard to find the way back, huh?" Zinnia thought for a moment, weighing the advantages and disadvantages of climbing a mountain they could get lost in. "If we do go then we should find a way to mark our path so that we won't get lost," she concluded, leaving the possibility open. In afterthought she wondered if a Niva like Pond would be able to climb up also, but didn't comment on it.

"That's a good idea!" Chaos agreed, nodding her head and flicking her ears from the mountain to the stream in front of them. "Oh! We're here!" Chaos said, her ears twitching as a dull thundering roar began to sound from ahead of them. The stream stopped at the edge of a cliff, a waterfall tumbling down into a deep greenblue lagoon with a little island near the outlet to the sea. A cliff with a large shallow cave stretched to their left until it met with the shore and became a gently sloping hill of sand. To their right the cliff tumbled down a rocky slope until it too became part of the white dunes of sand. A small column of smoke was coming from the shallow cave, which had a small wall of stone and sand built up around the area in front of it. Chaos beamed as she looked down and said, "Oh good! She's home!"
Pond stared down at the breathtaking sight, a muffled squeak coming from where his paws were currently covering his openhanging mouth.

Zinnia looked around at the settings, very impressed with the location. She wondered vaguely if she would be able to find a nice place to live on her own in, or if she'll just stay around Sara's home with the rest of the namir family. I'd probably do better just staying home. I'm too social to be on my own. "Cool!" Zinnia replied, smiling, and still following Chaos.

Chaos grinned at Zinnia, "Al right, follow me!"
Pond squeaked and scrambled onto Chaos to cling to her ears and peek over her head at the cliff in front of them.
"WHEEE!!!" she called, sprinting for the cliff and launching herself into the air. This was her favorite part about Treasure's home, and Treasure's favorite part as well. The air wooshed past her ears, which were still being tightly clung to by Pond, and soon the waves beneath her became the waves above her and she had to push off the sandy bottom of the lagoon to reach them again. Bobbing to the surface she began to paddle to the shore to deposit Pond and look back for Zinnia, wondering if she enjoyed the jump as well.

Zinnia followed Chaos' lead, feeling thrilled by the air rushing past as she dove down. She held her breath as she entered the cold lagoon water and kicked herself up. When she reached the surface she smiled and yelled out to Chaos, "That was fun!" She was half-tempted to add a "let's do that again", but resisted it to focus her effort to reaching the sandy shore.

"Yep, that's my favorite part about Treasure's house," Chaos laughed. She turned back to the shore and took a deep breath to yell, "TREASURE!!! ARE YOU THERE!?!?!?"
A seagreen hand flapped out of a corner of the cave, waving irritatedly at Chaos, "Ya, ya, what trouble are you here for today, Chaos?" The hand was followed by an arm and soon Treasure fully emerged, dragging a small net coated in weeds after her.
Pond squeaked happily and dashed towards Treasure, jumping into the air to tackle her as soon as he got close enough.

Zinnia emerged from the water and walked upon the sandy shore. The sand stuck to the bottom of her paws, but she didn't mind it too much. She watched as Treasure exited the cave, and waved happily at her. "Hello!" She wasn't sure if Chaos was going to introduce her or not, so she held her tongue to await either an introduction or for Treasure to ask her name. Either option was fine with her.

"Hi Treasure!" Chaos said, unphased by her freind's grumpy greeting, "This is Zinnia! We were wondering if you had any food!"
Treasure blinked and looked over at Zinnia, "Nice to meet you, my name's Treasure in case that hasn't been made obvious." Smiling, she hauled her net closer to the water, setting it down so that the waves could lap at it. "We'll see what I can do about food after I'v cast this," she replied, nodding at the net. She let out a small, "Ooof!" as Pond tackled her.
Squeaking happily, Pond latched onto Treasure's shoulder, refusing to let go for the moment.

"It's nice to meet you as well Treasure." Zinnia sat down and watched as Treaure set down her net. After that she pretty much just observed the scenery a bit more. Something about the sea always made her feel sort of detached. It was unnerving as a kit, but sometimes it's nice to detach a bit and be alone with one's thoughts.

Chaos picked up one side of the net in her mouth, stretching it out and stepping with it into the water.
Pond clung higher onto Treasure's shoulder and watched them move the net around with wide eyes, hopping off and sitting next to Zinnia when Treasure moved to follow Chaos into the water.
Treasure gripped the other side of the net and pulled it taught between them, following Chaos into the water. Once they got deep enough in the water that the net sunk under the waves Treasure felt around until she found a large stick she had braced in the water with stones. She tied her end of the net to the stave and waited for Chaos to do the same before testing its drag in the water. Once she was sure it was set she waded out of the water and disappeared into her home to scrounge around for food.
Chaos sat back and looked at the net. "You know, with all those weeds, it kind of looks invisible..." Shaking out her fur, she smiled at Zinnia, "Ready to go in for some food?"

Zinnia watched the process carefully, in case she ever had to do the same some other time in the future. "Yeah, it does look invisible. That's probably best, otherwise fish and other organisms will know something's up." Zinnia stood up and nodded. "Sure!" She wondered what kind of food she'll be served, as well as if they'll catch anything in the net.

Treasure appeared in her doorway before either of the Namrah or the Niva before her could enter, "Oh no, last time I let Chaos in here I was cleaning shells out of my ears for a week! You guys can wait outside, I'll bring the food out to you." She vanished again into the cave, the banging of pots and a muffled scarcastic remark or two echoing out through the entrance.
Chaos grinned at Zinnia, "Ah, I remember those shells!" She winced a little at the ruckus coming from the cave. "I should have mentioned that Treasure isn't really what you probably expect for someone with opposable thumbs in the kitchen, she tends to burn stuff and argue with her pots," she explained with a giggle.
Pond huddled himself at the entrance, peering in and ducking away at every loud noise.
