Paradise sat up and curled her tails around her feet and peered at the branch also. "Guess we'll just say morning until proven otherwise..." Was she supposed to just... ask about it, or something, or wait for him to say something? Personally her only regret about what happened was that it took getting drunk for it to happen, but that situation could be entirely different for him. What do you say when something like this happens? "So... what now?" It could be a perfectly innocent question... though they'd likely both know it really wasn't.

The male sat back in silence, as if he wasn't even in the den with the other he was so still. Apparently, neither of them were ready for what had happened. Even with Dice appearing well and aware after the effects of drinking the previous night. White eyes closed with the sign of thought processing behind them, before opening later down at the ground. He shifted to stand, not bothering for stretches of adjustments as he moved forward. One paw lifted to brush kindly against the side of Dice's face, lingering a second. "Now? I take my leave." The blue limb withdrew, and Ronan stepped nearer to the entrance. He didn't know what the other wanted to hear, and without that he had no direction. "I'm sorry." The only healthy solution he could see to an undecided was distancing.

"Why?" Which statement she was asking about was debatable. It might have been both. "I'm the one that started it." She remembered that much. And she really... didn't want him to leave. But she wouldn't try to hold him here if leaving was what he really wanted. She would have hated being trapped or guilted into something. She wouldn't do that to him. "I... being drunk probably had a lot to do with my actually doing it, but not... wanting to." Her voice was starting to tremble by the end so she paused to remaster herself. She had a feeling her heart might break if he left, because it would be difficult to just be friends the way they were after this, but she didn't want him staying just because of that. "I won't try to make you, but I'd like you to stay..."

His eyes kept trained on the entrance, only his ears moving back to listen to the other. He hadn't expected her to wake up and react so swiftly and in such a way. Why? He didn't understand, and couldn't find a way to answer the one-worded question. His eyes widened to her stumbling explanation, but with his back still to her, she wouldn't see. And neither could he, only hearing and going by her tone of voice, not daring to peek back when she paused. This was all...unexpected. He never before had to deal with such a topic, let alone engage in such with another kitsu.
With his tongue tied, Ronan gave his tails a twitch before slidding down to settle on his stomach, acknowledging the others request. He still couldn't look back, not knowing how he'd react. "It'd have been better...if that was said from the beginning." He would have tried harder to prevent last night, in attempts to keeping his friendship respectable. Keeping her from liking him in some puppy love that he was never aware of. He was no good for the other.

Paradise frowned. Yeah... it would have been to say something to him. But she hadn't really thought much about how she felt. Ronan was her best and oldest friend; it had seemed a natural thing to want to be around him, to miss him when he was gone. It was obvious to her now how much her affection for him had grown, but before hand? She'd never had a reason to think about such things, and if she'd had any inclination she might do what she'd done last night, she never would have had so much to drink. But really... she didn't know that explaining all that would really help the situation. If he pressed for more information she'd go ahead and tell him but... "I was still... working it all out. I didn't realize I'd go and... do that."

Ears turned to the present quiet, his own thoughts turned inward. A hiss drew past his maw, his thoughts so gone that he wasn't even aware that he was picking at his scar in lame strokes. Did he blame the other? No, of course not. Did he regret their actions? Yes, to his very core. It was something he should have known of and controlled better. And to think that it was with his energetic youth of a friend made him sit stiffly. Some horrible influence of a friend.
Drawn out of his reverie, Ronan blinked while side glancing to the other. No, she still looked the same. But was she still the same? The same in all the ways he knew her before? The male was stumbling on how to react around her, but he smiled for her all the same. His confident grin was all he ever really had. "Hm? Don't concern over it. What's done is done....I just..." His paw kept its scratching, like some form of grounding to the present. He chuckled half-heartedly. "Won't you kick me out from this den now?"

Paradise... wasn't sure how to react to Ronan at the moment either. Not that lovey-dovey was really something she knew how to be in any case, but... she supposed it depended on what they decided to do about what happened.
His question caught her off-guard and she gave him a long, blank look. "Why would I?... No, Ronan. You're free to come and go as you please." She said it with an almost palpable sense of determination. She wanted him around... she really did. But she wouldn't make him stay. Neither did she want him to think he was unwelcome. So she said as much. "I like having you here, but you don't have to stay. But you can come over if you want to."
She was quiet for a moment, watching him pick at his scar and subconsciously picking at a little rock in the dirt beside her. "What do you... want to do?"

Lovey-dovey? That word wasn't even in Ronan's vocabulary. Then again, Ronan wasn't one for awkward silences either. "Just asking." He paused, finally stopping his picking of the scab, instead opting for cleaning at the back of his ears briefly. "Heh, I'm glad you're able to tell me so." Even if ever other sentence held the word but, Dice wasn't holding back too badly.
The male sighed as he followed with his emotions. They swayed in every which random way, to where no reaction was predictable. But even in his confusion, he knew one thing that he'd want. A release of tension. Maw grinned as he shuffled to stand, turning back to face the female. "Me? That's a good question." A face similiar to pondering was displayed for a moment, before white eyes blinked at Paradise. And he tilted his head with a playful charm. "I...want to pull through this. What do you say?"

If there was one thing neither of them were cut out for, it was "lovey-dovey". They were both very independant and generally rather muted about their feelings. Which was probably a big part of why this was so akward.
Paradise watched Ronan as he shifted and stood, and the face she'd been doing her best to hold carefully impassive for the last while broke into her own particular grin at what he finally said. It was certainly a tension reliever. "I'll say yes to that."
