Yoda is the man. He could counter any dark force move. He knew all the inner workings of the force.

He was pretty strong, but he was beaten by the Emperor. And strength doesn't always mean strength of heart. Yoda was too noble to use the powerful Sith force techniques in ancient holocrons.

Actually, I;ve been wondering if Anakin really was the Chosen One.
He killed the Emperor once, but the Emperor came back. Twice. So Vader restored balance to the Force, but only for a few years.

Nickstermin8r think it's too hard to say who is the strongest, there are different forms of strength. Yoda was wise and kicked Palpatine's a** (even though Yoda lost) Palpatine took out three Jedi knights in under a minute and killed Mace Windu (due to Anakin's interferance) I'm not to knowledgeable on the Sith like Bane or Nihilus or Scion or Revan or Malak or any of them, but from what I read of NIhilus, he seems to be made of pure bad-assery. Exar Kun was pretty crazy, and so was the Jedi Master (I dunno his name) who killed Executor Sedriss. Obviously, Anakin and Obi-Wan were very powerful, as was Luke. Starkiller is definitely a top contender for power. And Plageus? Being Palpatine's master, he must have been powerfule. And what of General Greivous? He wasn't a Sith, but he was teeming with rage, which is what gives a Sith power, aside from fear. He defeated countless Jedi during his prime, and had Mace Windu not shattered his chest after the Battle on Couriscant, he would probably have killed Obi-Wan. But he was desperate, shown through his immediate usage of all four arms. When he was at full functionailty, he only used two arms, and even fought using his clawed feet before he brought out all of his arms. And it has been speculated that he may have recieved a Midichlorian-rich blood-transfusion from Jedi Master Sifo-Diyas. I agree with you on the different ways to view power. I am new to the books so I am still learning about a few Jedi......but from what I know so far I would say Jacen, Starkiller ,Mace and Yoda. Also Palp........you just can not beat his naming of Vader" From ow on you will be .........umm, er, no, thats taken.......um a,b,c,d.....let's see I like Pearl Jam and Eddie Veder......so yea, You will be Lord Vader".......lol........sorry I just love his speech after he turns Ani. blaugh

XD I've never read the books or played KOTOR, so I don't know all of the sideshow Sith.
Palpatine is pretty cool. Too bad he killed Kit Fisto. That dude's a pimp.

roku135 ur all crazy count dooku is the strongest. he is awesome Are you CRAZY stressed , if it wasnt for the droids then almost any jedi could defete him, the only way he survived his enconter with anikin and obi-one the first time is because anikin was cocky. the best Jedi ever would have to be Gerneral Hoth from the darth bane sereis. he kicked a** during the war and could have defeted all the sith if it wasnt for the death ball. The best sith of all time would be Darth maul, he had potensial coming out his ears. if he wouldnt have goten cocky faceing obi one, then he would have killed him over thronw palpitine after he became emperor, and controlled the gallixy with out anikin in the way because he would have never goten trained without obi wan. Mauls hatred for the Jedi gave him emence strength.

Favorite Jedi: Obi-Wan. He's a smart-aleck at times but likes to keep a level head. And his first battle with Anakin/pre-Darth was simply off the wall insane. Even though he was pretty much on the defensive most of the time, his intellect and calm rationale won out in the end. He even warned Anakin not to try attacking him because he had the higher ground, but Anakin was too determined and thick-headed at the time to listen and that was the end for him and the begining for Darth Vader.
Favorite Sith: Darth Treya aka Kreia. It's one thing to hate the Jedi, as most all sith do. But to dispise the Force itself and go about trying to outright kill it...no Sith in thier right minds would even think of such a thing. But she knew it was possible, and the Jedi Exile held the key, in her eyes, to the death of the Force. She helped raise the Exile to relearn the use of the Force, protected the Exile from other Sith and the remaining Jedi counsil (Provided you didn't go Darkside and kill off the counsil beforehand). And in the endshe sought to kill the Exile to further wound the Force, but held no hate for the Exile, even in her defeat.

the secret apprentice has a name, Galen Marek. and technically he was more jedi than sith in the end.
anyway...
Jedi: Qui-Gon Jinn followed by Revan then Galen. ((none were exactly the strongest of their eras but they all did what they thought was best for the Galaxy as a whole, even when Revan was a Sith he only sought to strengthen the Republic to combat the true invaders in the unknown regions.))
Sith: Darth Bane and Darth Krayt, no need to exaplain if you know who they are.
