Nali looked at the way the wind blew. due north, so that meant that the free-magic creature was south. she turned around and ran back a bit. she pulled out Ranna and rang it. the sound cut through all of the other noises, which silenced.

"hmm... didn't think of that..." nate said, slowly heading south to see if her bell had caught anything, fighting off the wave of drowsiness.

the forest quited by Ranna's tone, leaving behind a distant voice still rambling on. "well if i follow them long enough I'm sure they will set up camp at some point, and then i can steal there food, very excellent maybe some breed or dried something, but they came from the empty place, so it could be something strange..."

nate drew several marks of protection around the pair, then drew his sword.

Nali set Ranna back into her bandolier and and drew Saraneth. she waved this bell in the figure eight motion as well, hoping it would work.
