In my opinion, I'm really disappointed with who they've chosen.
I know that no one in this world could ever look exactly the same as this imaginary Edward Cullen in everyone's minds, but of all people, Pattinson was chosen, and I think that was completely unexpected. Everyone was all for Gaspard and Henry and Hayden and what not, but I hadn't heard anyone mention Pattinson.
For me, I was going for Gaspard, although I still don't think he looks very much like Edward, but I was also going for this other guy but I forgot his name. D:
But I'm also a bit disappointed with who they've chosen to play Bella. I'm still trying to fix my mind on Kristen as Bella, and it's just not happening. Practically everyone was going for Emily Browning (which I was too, 100%) and I thought she would get the part, no doubt. It was even on imdb. But apparently, she asked for too much money. So that changed my opinion the slightest bit. I started to think that she wouldn't be dedicated to playing Bella's part, but more in for the money.
So to finish my rant, I'm pretty disappointed and I'm not so excited to find out who the rest of the cast is. Don't think I'm being so cold though, I'm really trying to adjust, but I was so fixated on Emily Browning and Gaspard Ulliel that's it's almost impossible for me to imagine anyone else anymore.
But oh well.

Oh, and I'm sorry, I know that this isn't the particular place I should be posting this, but there's really no where else.
I will tell you now and I'll remind you again when the movie actually comes out:

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE WATCH THE MOVIE AND MAKE EVERYONE YOU KNOW WATCH IT TOO, MAKE IT REALLY POPULAR AND EVERYTHING.
Okay, I know you're thinking, "DUHHHHH, of course I'll watch it."
Well then good. =) But if you guys dont watch it, and it doesn't become a hit movie, I won't be able to watch it.
I'm here in Australia and majority of the movies they show here are the ones that were hit movies in the U.S.
If it doesn't become a hit movie, it might not come out in Australia!
And if it's not so much a hit movie, but it still comes out, it'll probably be in the city or something and it'll be heaps hard to find.
And plus, movies from the U.S come out here in like THREE MONTHS after you guys so I'll be avoiding this guild for those three months because I want to watch it first, before I see people's opinions otherwise I'd be watching the movie seeing and proving what other people think.

omg when i found out i almost cried. pattinson is cute but definaltey not edward cullen material. stare in my opinion henry cavill would have been a better choice but robert better not screw this up.

Eh. I'm kind of "oh well" on this. At least he's relatively cute. They could've done worse. Actually I was expecting worse. I think he'll do a decent job. And he's definitely a good actor.
I think I'm mainly disappointed because I pictured Edward to be more...."boyish?" I don't know. I can't really think of a better word for it. That's why I was hoping for Gaspard.

Well, not that it matters. I will still always dream of Gaspard as my own personal Edward.
And I think Kristen will be an okay Bella. I've never seen her in anything so I don't have an opinion on her acting ability, but she doesn't look overly glamorous or anything, which makes her a realistic Bella.
But damn, if only Gaspard were younger. Cursed age requirements! XP

Evil_child1301 -PinkTasmik-  Well personally, I think he's a nice choice.
I was originally for Gaspard, though.
When I sent the news to my friends about who was cast as Edward, they were surprisingly happy about it.
They knew who I was talking about because they're big Harry Potter fans XD
lol thats exactly wut i did 2, my friends and I are big HP fans xD we're kewl with him playing edward it'll be interesting to see Lol true that. i was scared that they'd cast the Zack What's-His-Name from High School Music stressed scream evil

I"M SOOO TIRED OF HEARING PEOPLE SAY THEY DON'T LIKE HIM......... you have to remember that movie stars get MADE to look the part.... i have no doubt that they will get him as close as possible to our favorite pale skinned vampire!!!!

i totally agree. thats what i keep saying about bella! i only hope they stay strict when it comes to the make-up for the characters, like contacts for the cullens and the hair, you know.
