Like I said so many months ago, I don't personally really play a strings instrument, but one of my best friends has been playing the harp for almost eleven years now.

I've been playing violin for seven years.. And learned cello on my own for eight or nine months..? And played electric guitar for about a year.. And played piano for a year too..
I'm making an odd transition to trumpet. I'm the only Asian girl that is playing trumpet next year. 0_o

I would be playing violin, except mine is broken...AGAIN! RAWR! Ya, it's not my fault either, it's an antique and the last owner didn't even keep it in any case. My dad brought it home in a brown freakin' paper bag. But ya, the string on the tailpiece let go and I have yet to fix it. But not only that, the pegs are like...all the way up to the their heads in the peg box and stick out way far on the other side of it. Even when it was working, it couldn't hold a tune for crap, the pegs would slip so fast.
And I'm wondering if any of you would know anything about E.T. Root and Sons violins? 'cause that's what it is. It's a company that was based in Chicago at the turn of the century (violin made in 1903) and I can't find anything about them at all. I don't even know if my violin is any good.
I also play flute and love it <3.

I'm all about the cello as the first chair is classroom, have been second chair in all county and going for first this year. Although i am partial 2 my first love my violin. As a toddler my fav movie was Beauty and the beast. I have a bearoque style chello (just minor indents in it!) and it looks like chips, so I named it chip, my school cello is beast and my violin is beauty!!!!
Can i get a whoop whoop for cello's!!!

I play the violin. So does my friend. We both started 4th grade, so it would be our 4th year playing. We both play pretty well, but she knows a lot more than I do, so far... I'm catching up though.

I play the viola, it's been around eight years now. I've been first chair in High School orchestra for a while (but I just graduated) I was in two youth orchestras and all state..hmm..
VIOLAS ROCK!
Also I was in an all-viola chamber music group where we played Johnny Cash and Bach. And I have a viola/cello duet and a trio and a quartet. OMG.
