Under the authority of Sirenz, I am going to raffle off the finalists for the 80's Song Contest in just a few minutes.
To give everyone a head's up as to why we're nixing the poll idea, there was some confusion concerning the reason why some people were voting for others. The point of the polling was for others to vote for their favorite 'song', but it was turning into more of a popularity contest, where people were asking others to vote for them simply because they wanted to win, regardless of whether or not their song was better than the other finalists'. As there is no rule against that, some of the staff felt it still defeats the purpose of the poll to begin with. Since all of the finalists' songs were wonderful, it was decided that the contest would simply be left up to the randomization of the raffle system.
I appreciate everyone's understanding, and I wish all 8 finalists the best of luck. If you have any concerns with our decision, please PM the Soquili mule.

I'm not sure what the mystery prize will be, so I'll leave the revealing part to Sirenz when she gets back!
Thank you to all who participated in this event. There were truly so many WONDERFUL entries, and each of you needs to give yourself a nice pat on the back for doing an awesome job (or go out and get ice cream, that always works for me! 8D). Good luck on your 1st Storm. Be proud you at least got in the finalists!
Polls would have been popularity indeed even though the raffle didn't give to easy a chance either. But yeah--I cant diss what I think I couldnt handle better and even I'm stumped on how they could have handled it any more fairly. Maybe giving small runner up prizes, but thats their choice. 3nodding heart
