Melinda watched as the conversation between quite a few people had actually formed. She could feel the girl's pain; every time she tried at a normal job, something would just happen to go wrong, usually at the fault of another co-worker.
First time was at a low-popularity fast food restruant. Her job was to bring out the drinks for the customers. It was early in the morning, a time in which coffee was usually common. The job of hte girl who was with her was to put a cover around the coffee cup, so it wouldn't burn. But, being lazy as well as not caring, this co-worker forgot completely. Melinda was running late as it was, and didn't notice this mistake until she felt it burn her hand. Out of instinct, she had dropped the coffee cup, on the customer's head.....she got the blame, while the nose-ringed girl didn't.
Second time wasn't quite as bad; she actually did quite well as a cashier at K Mart. Unfortunately, her boss didn't like the fact Melinda wasn't a chatty person, so she'd find fault with every thing Melinda did incorrectly. Finally out of irritation (and the suggestion of a few co-workers who also found this injust), when the boss picked at her again, she retorted quite nicely (having seen her make out with another guy that WASN'T her boyfriend). This got her fired, but she didn't care. The boss got replaced three weeks later, and her boyfriend found out when he asked a co-worker why Melinda had been fired.
Third time was when this same boy got her a job at Taco Land; he said it was the least he could do for her. THAT was a fun job. The people there were so high in optisim, and Melinda had actually held more conversations there as opposed to most times in school. Plus, the Taco dance was quite hilarious. Unforunately, the place closed down 6 months later, when the store was sold to another company.
Snapping back to reality, she introduced herself. "Oh! Sorry, I'm Melinda." she answered.

Gaia Name : AlisynLuffsJapan Character Name: Hope Age: 15 Gender: female Race: Golden Wing / Human Appearance: Wing form:  Human: Bio: (I don't want to make it cliche, but I really don't wanna do anything too...uncliche...because I didn't like anything else I could come up with...you have no idea how long I spent trying to find something decent haha ) A girl whose parents disappeared one day when she was twelve. When they did, she actually didn't take it too hard. She is a kind of distant person, and things like this don't affect her too much. She has a blind faith that everything will turn out all right. So she believes that they'll come back when they need to. Since then she followed a fancy and went into the woods to live, eventually building a cute little house, though not the greatest of course, just a shelter. She was only twelve. It wasn't near as romantic as she had anticipated, but it was more than staying in an empty house. Hope is also a big romantic. She likes to sing but still has a quiet, childish voice. Very shy and frail but always trying to do the right thing. Then, when she turned thirteen, without explanation a bright light straight out of the fairy tales came down from the sky through the trees, and there she was, a Golden Wing. She fell into a sleep and learned all about the Wings and the Hearts, and was told to find the Hearts and help them. When she woke up, she only remembered vague things, like her quest and that she was a Golden Wing, and she was supposed to stop somethign terrible from happening. But that was all. As Hope was back in her human form, she traveled aimlessly, following her newfound instincts that seemed to come from her new power. As she went she learned more about her powers and how to control them, as well as changing in and out of the forms. Hmm...I hope that's all right. smile

"Hello Korsu. I'm Rayne.", she replied looking at both of them. Time seemed to slow down for a moment except for herself. She looked around at everyone standing so still. "Wow.", she said before everything went back to normal.

Hope wandered into the town, yawning. She was getting quite tired of going everywhere without any success. But she was determined to find the people.
"Still," she said to herself, "I think I'm going to splurge again... I need to do something fun."
So Hope wandered through aimlessly, looking for something interesting to do. She had a little money left from her house when her parents had gone...and for two years, that was pretty good. Well, since she could live off natural food without buying anything, she didn't really NEED any money, except to keep her sanity through the boredom.
Not that traveling wasn't fun. But she was too shy to have any real fun anywhere.
A gust of wind tore at her, and Hope hugged herself. "I hate the cold I hate the cold I hate the cold..."

"nice to meet you all, im Kioko" she said smiling because her hands were full...
"hopefully we can see each other sometime soon...drop by the restaurant once in a while...its called Mizuko..." Kioko said looking at them...
"we shud get going, im going to miss my shift if we dont hurry up.."

Kioko dragged Rayne through the bustling streets of the city...they were turning the courner and Kioko saw her Mom's restaurant...Waiting for the stop light to give them the signal to cross Kioko asked Rayne a few questions..
"so, do you always get into accident like that?" SHe asked politely..

Hope continued her wandering, and a wonderful smell hit her...pizza! Ah, she hadn't had pizza in years--she'd denied herself because she had plenty to eat.
Staring for a long time at the pizza parlor, Hope decided she wasn't going to break the rule now. She was going to spend her money on something fun.
Taking her eyes off the restaurant, she noticed a disorganized looking group sitting in some chairs out front. It looked like break-time, because some were standing, some were sitting, and all were looking off at something in the opposite direction.
Hope approached them shyly. "Um, hello, do you play music?" she asked them politely.

"oh, wow, your manager must've been scary" Kioko said...
the light turned to walk and Kioko motioned for Rayne to follow her....They walked up the steps of the restaurant and Kioko opened the door, almost instantly, she felt a gush of warm air hit and rejuvinate her face from the cold...The place was sorta packed, and the smell of asian foods was in the air..
"mmmm, looks like today is going to be busy..." Kioko said signing herself in and walked through the crowd looking back to seee if Rayne was following her...

Rayne continued walking after her. The smell of asian foods made a smile spread on her face. She was raised with asian foods until she was orphaned.

Kioko arrived at one section in the back of the restaurant with a door and a gold plate on it that said 'manager'. She knocked the door and a female voice answered with a come in..
"okay, your going to have to wait outside here...mom isnt that strict, but its better...just gimme a sec okay?" Kioko said turning to Rayne and smiled at her before slipping into the room and closed the door behind her...
In the room, Kioko's mom was behind her desk on her laptop...
"mom, is it okay if my friend can get a job here as a waitress or something?" Kioko asked hopefull...
The conversation went on about the job of Rayne and her skills and everything and some random stuff about the things that Kioko was suppose to get her sister and her mom...
