Cadbury Creme Egg "I sort of own the Tavern, i am only a Bartender but the manager dissapeared, and since i own half of the shares i am the one responsible with the place" Jamie sighs "I think they have all had enough sleep now to get on with our journey" She nodded to him. "Yes, I agree." She stood up and picked up her belongings. "Alright everyone. It's time to head out. Pack up all your belongings and head through the gate." She glanced down at the map she had held in her hands. She studied it for a moment desiding which pathway was best. "There's a forest on the otherside of the gate we must go through it to reach our next resting point." She looked around and nodded as people past her, headed towards the gate. She wrapped her cloak tightly against her shoulders and slowly walked towards the gate. As she looked ahead she could see the forest clearly. They were safe for now.

chris was running... he could see that the whole gang was already starting to move out the gate. he had put on his mage's cloak and look pretty ridiculous running at top speed. he was holding his shadow staff in his right hand and the healer was in his cloak pocket. chris caught up to the supposed leader and requested acceptance, "Please.... my powers WILL prove useful in your journey. please. i need this chance to prove myself. or else... it would have been no use..."

Keifie felt as if a time vortex had passed through the area. Had they gone and rested at the tavern? Was it morning already? Or were they simply just leaving at whatever time it was past their midnight fight? As he followed the group out the gate even more questions came to him: why was the gate opened for those creatures? What did they want from that place? And, considering how weak they were, how did they survive out in this supposedly horrible wilderness? This would be an interesting journey indeed...

"it seems that the taint has reached the countryside... i was afraid this would happen." Obsydian says to himself, loosing the focus he was maintaining for his invisibility spell. feeling fatigue creeping up to him, he retreated to the shadows of the oncoming dawn.
"ah, it seems the last battle has drained more from me than i had expected, but i must not loose sight of my goal." with his resolve steeled anew, he recasts his invisibility spell, and moves on silently toward the gates.
he has travelled as fast as he can to Barton town, to prevent the orcs from ravaging the village. but he was otherwise 'engaged' by another entity, which surprisingly, proved to be a much harder battle than he expected.
"although im thankful that the village was saved by these valiant warriors, i wonder, will they be ready enough for the oncoming onslaught? ah, im sure they can do it, there is hope."
"in the meantime, i will observe. it looks like theyre on the move. ill catch up to them. but for the mean time, ill have to rest, and regain my lost energies. i will not be useful to them this way. i shall go first to the tavern and find food and rest."
as the early rays of the waking sun shines its bright glory, Obsydian edges on towards the tavern, hoping for a quick but rejuvinating meal, making sure no one notices his arrival.

Sleep still hasnt touched Russ's eyes til now. All through the night, he sat outside the tavern door keeping watch. It was a quiet night. The wolf scouts grew restless in the silence. There was no threat in the end. Now they mobilize. Where they will go is all up to Leader now.
As they take their leave, Russ catches Obsydian's scent in the air. He smiles. Still being as cryptic as he is. He decides to ignore and moves on. "He'll show up one way or another," He thinks to himself. "Either that or he'll get lost again."

Once I was out of the gate I walked towards the leader. "Which way are you planning on going?" I asked.

-She glanced towards the young man approaching her. He seemed out of breath. As she listened to what he was saying she nodded. "Don't worry it's not too late to join. We need as many as we can get." She looked towards the man directing the question towards her. "Well it seems the best path is to go north, straight through the forest. It's the fastest way but unfortunately the most obvious one. It is best that you be on guard. I don't know what we'll run into..." She remained quite after she spoke and glanced around at the crowd. She wasn't feeling herself at the moment...

Russ discreetly slips to Lariene's side. He realizes she seems to be spacing out, but he knows she will hear him when he speaks.
"If it makes you feel better, Leader." He starts. "I took the initiative of sending scouts on front, rear, and our flanks. If there is a surprise waiting for us, we will be warned for sure. Keep a sharp ear for wolf howls." He flashes to Lariene a reassuring smile.

Jamie walks ahead of the rest and leaves the gates of Barton Town before stopping still "Something is waiting for us, the scouts are dead, eaten i believe, i can smell it" Jamie said as he started walking again with the knowledge of the trap they was about to walk into, his sense of smell was powerful, he could smell what was waiting for them "Its Zombies, the forest is full of them, watch your back" Jamie warned.

As soon as they left the town Keifie's mood began to lift, it was nice to be on the road again, and he had been cooped up in that town for far too long. Now, with a cool breeze in his face and the prospect of battle looming ahead, he was beginning to enjoy himself once more.DNAPoWeR Trooping on with his fellow demon hunters, he approached one and said, "Hi, call me Chris. May i ask what your name is?" Keifie heard from behind him; he glanced back, slightly surprised as he hadn't realized anyone had fallen behind him, and gave his addressor a once over. He looked like a child, some form of adept from his outfit, but a child nonetheless. This time, instead of wondering about it, he decided to inquire, "Greetings as well, Chris. You may call me Keifie. May I inquire as to your purpose with this group? You seem rather young to be on such a dangerous mission."

The air smells of death. These zombies must have caught the wolves by surprise. Russ felt anger building up inside him, he wants to avenge his brothers' death.
"Avenge them," a voice speaks in his head. "Make them regret they went out of their graves."
"I will," Russ answers. "On my own terms."
"On your own terms? The scent is still fresh. They are just out there waitingto be slaughtered... again and again if need be."
Russ loses his calmness. Though with mouth shut and still smiling, his head is filled with so much noise it hurts. He starts sweating. "It is not my way."
"Oh dont give me that! It has been our way to give action immmediately. It has been OUR way from the beginning of our exsistence."
"You know nothing of acting upon the task at hand."
"On the contrary, friend, I do. This is war after all."
"Shut up! Just go away! Leave me alone!"
"Hahahahaha. Fine, I will. But you wont be able to stop me next time. I will wait until you are most vulnerable. I will wait... and you will thank me for it."
Silence...
Russ regains his calmness by patiently reaching his inner peace. "We better brace ourselves then."
His brothers have died. But still not in vain. For sure the rest of the packs are aware of their brothers' demise as howls start echoing from different corners. "On my own terms," he says to himself as he readies his mind and body for another encounter.

Russ looks to his side. She was the musician he met at the Keeper's Lodge. He just noticed she is of his kind, a wolfkin. He smiles. "Luna bless you, sister. I did not realize before you were a wolfkin."
"The smell is disturbing me so," Russ says in a quick burst of laughter. "Their scent at close range might be the death of me!" He adds jokingly.

I looked at the forest. "There is unrest in there." I said. "I hope you can all fight." I turned back to the leader. "I will go ahead. I''ll leave signs in the trees so you will know the safest path to follow."
