Me too. They have this great one in Toronto, Canada every year called Anime North. It kills me that I can't go to it (I've never been to it) since I only live about fourteen hours away from it. But money is always an issue, and up until last year, so was school [university is much easier to take time off of]. One year... I shall go and come home totally broke.
I'm going to Anime North this year. :]
I only live three hours away from Toronto, so it won't be very costly.

I wanna be in the Secret Santa! Please please please!
I participated in the AT Secret Santa last year, and there were categories that had three different price ranges for you to choose from, so you don't get ripped off or get money from doing that. No no, bad.
So, you could do it where there's a big price range (alot more cozier and close), or if alot of people do it you could have different price ranges. So if you invest in Price Range A for your person, (say 3-5k-ish) you get a present in the same price range.
And and and, Grinny, you could participate if you gave random numbers/letters(like a car license!)/a picture of something to names and just mix 'em up and plug 'em in or sumpin'...
oh, wait. That won't work. :c That's no fun. Or you could give all the names the secret identity thing, give them to somebody else to mix up, but they don't give you who your Secret Santa is and they just PM the person who's your Secret Santa. Yeah! Hope that helped. :3
