That's true...
And I agree, Yami no Malik does have his flaws... and in various ways, I do feel bad for him. Partially for the reasons Morgey stated, as well as the fact that... he'll just never fit in anywhere. Like, y'know, he isn't an ancient spirit like Yami no Bakura or Atem, so he doesn't really have a past or a future... he doesn't have his own life the way do, nor is Malik's life really his... >>; ... it is almost sad that all he knows is like anger and hatred... he doesn't get to experience any of the greater things in life and his existence seems to be somewhat in vain.
Anyway, Malik is my favorite character for those very reasons... out of all of the Yuugiou villains, he is the one who suffers the most guilt because of his imperfections. Pegasus suffers a bit too, but since he went though his pain as an adult he is less permanently scarred in my opinion. Malik is still quite young and on top of having to be hormonal teenager he is forced to suffer for the bad choices he made because of a past he could not control.
Mhm, anyway, I could elaborate further, but I don't feel like it's necessary... I basically agree with what you guys are saying. <3

@Morgey: Ah, I see where you're coming from now. XD;; Sorry dear, I thought you were talking about the book. I've never actually seen the musical, but I have done some research on it and it does seem quite off... like they completely change Fiyero's character (Elphaba's lover). In the book his is a quiet foreign boy, but in the musical he's like the jock of the group and actually gets engaged to Glinda, who he shows no interest in in the book. O_o WTF? There were a lot of stupid changes like that from what I have read of the story. I still want to see it, because it is based of one of my favorite books and has lovely music, but I can just feel it's gonna be a lot more fluffed up than the novel.
I understand what you mean now. I don't think villains should be defended so much. Trust me though, the book is very well-done. Elphaba is given reasons for her flaws, but she still goes through with having said flaws. She actually pretty much snaps at the end, and that's when she's attacking Dorothy and stuff. She's actually quite a b***h throughout the book, sometimes getting a little more sociable, but then going and hiding back in her shell, focusing on the bad in people.
But I love that article you linked to. It's short and sweet, yet I really do agree with it. <3

@Akila: ...in all honesty, I have a very difficult time sympathizing with Yami no Malik... he's just always so... so happy! XD;; I love him and all, but he's so content with pain and darkness, I can't help but not feel bad for him... the only time he was ever really freaked out/unhappy was when Malik had regained control of the body and was forfeiting the duel to Yuugi, but at that point he was just acting so pathetic I pretty much lost my respect for him. ^^;;

A bit on the short side, average build I'd say. I always have felt like I'm in pretty good shape until I see other guys... *sigh* Curly blond hair that goes down over one of my eyes, which are blue, and I keep my hair in a short ponytail usually. I seemed to get my father's traits more than my mothers, so I have a very... 'French' look (my Father being French, though my mother is Spanish). However, my skin isn't as pale as Father's, and I'm quite a bit smaller than him... oh! In height and weight, not that!! gonk

Average, I would say.

I'm not particularly fond of getting wet, so I'd say sunshine.

The beach feels so much more free and relaxing than pools.

I don't do well out in the wilderness oftentimes, even though I find it lovely, so I would say staying home.

I tend to prefer smaller animals like birds, but I would say dogs if I had to choose, mostly because of how friendly and open they are. They remind me of James. ^^

Haven't had the best experiences on ships, so I'd say car...

I think the most unusual thing about me personally is that I'm prone to sickness and have recently just begun recovering from a bout of tuberculosis. My family, on the other hand, tends to be very unusual. My father is quite wealthy, but ended up turning on us, and overall going insane. He was so cruel to us that two of my siblings are in a mental hospital right now...

I'd say it used to be about average, but after getting TB, I seem to have almost no appetite. I try to avoid food as much as James will let me...

It used to be home, but I am beginning to have second thoughts about that. Too many bad memories here now...

The only that I am aware of is that Father seemed to have encountered a sorceress or something... he forced her to resurrect my previously-deceased mother and her lover. I do not know how it happened, but simply accept that it did, and am grateful for it.

Being alone... just... I'm fine being alone in a room or something, but to not have someone there to turn to if need be, or to share life with...

I grew up with my father and my siblings. Father's name is Jean, my older sister is Mary. Nek is my younger brother, and Lin my youngest sister. Mary and I are full sisters, but Nek and Lin are half siblings, being the children of my mother, Maria, and her lover, Ai. I have recently discovered that Father murdered Mother and Ai when he found out about their affair, but they are finally back, and I've come to consider Ai as my adopted dad. We also have three people who work in our household that are practically considered family, Antonia, the head of house, Robert, the driver, and of course James, our family doctor, whom I now work for. Finally, there is Aunt Rose, Father's older sister who we only just recently learned of.

Yay bringing people back!! I was reading through old threads and this one did look fun indeed.
Yea Malice was an OC that I played along with playing myself as an OC with another friend (and then recently I brought him up with a third friend too). And yes it should sound sin related, because the Sins fall in too...however not as much as my "sins" are real people (me being Envy, so really only Envy, Pride and now Lust show up in this randomness). I really want to do this for Guilt now, but Guilt was Pride's character not mine, so heck if I know half the stuff. I - and Malice - miss Guilt *tear*...hehehe... rofl
I'm thinking I'll do this for my chatroom Kaiba tomorrow, just for fun and to think about him a bit...yay thinking about Kaiba! heart
Hmm...Payne and Dr. James - sounds kinda hot ^_~. What with he being Doc's boss and all too! And oh, Moulin Rouge really should be on Malice's list too, but he isn't about to admit to that.
Mmm...ok sleepy time, more randomness tomorrow. I wanted to go to sleep an hour ago but was waiting for my friend to update our other roleplay, after almost 4 months!! Which she finally did so huzzah! Well worth the wait. Except now I'm tired. And have to get up before 9am to say goodbye to my brother. And I'm rambling like an idiot. *SHUTS UP*!!

Oh, you should totally do chatroom Kaiba! XD I think chatroom Jounouchi would pretty much be the same as the Jounouchi I posted on the first page.
Yeah, Payne is a hot name, but he actually prefers to go by his far dorkier given name, Stuart, since Payne is his father's name. XD And James is actually his boss, not vice versa, even though he's far more wealthy than James. Confusing. @_@

Sorry, said the boss thing backwards. Actually, I noticed I did that last night. "Fixed" it, but apparently didn't submit it...hahaha...~_~. He seemed like a character who'd go by Stuart, it's just kinda fun to slash Dr/Payne ^_~. Is this OC in an original storyline role play, or from an actual series? If it is the latter, what series are you role playing him in?
Dead role plays are indeed sad. Me and my friend are trying to revive this one, hopefully a couple more people come back, but if not I think we are going to ark it elsewhere. I think if people go missing for half a year, don't say anything or even respond when pmed, it's fair to ship off without them.
Yea, the chatroom roleplay is the first and only time I've ever played Kaiba (and thus will remain that way for awhile, as even though me and my friend who are hijacking our other roleplay want to insert him over there, she's going to be the one to play him - which is perfect because I'm playing Pegasus, and it'd be hard to be in appropriate with myself ^_~). I find several people rather irritating, incompetent imbeciles that they are. Jounouchi definitely grates my nerves, and I'm finding Hopkins and Kujaku rather dislikable as well. Yuugi's magic nonsense pisses me off. His little girlfriend's friendship speeches are unbearable as well. In all though, I'd rather not expend the energy on such a strong emotion as hate, not worth my time.

Of course not, what a waste of time. I sleep the bare minimum number of requisite hours. No more.

I'd prefer anytime devoted to leisure entertainment to be in the form of literature, thought there was this documentary on consumerism I rather enjoyed.

Actually, their character status is kind of complicated... you could say Stuart stemmed from a Mario Brothers RP, though he was never actually in it. It began with his younger brother, Nek, who Karma created as a character that was in the orphanage with Mario and Luigi as kids. (in the Mario Bros movie at least, I believe it says that they grew up in an orphanage together, though that's not actually canon in the Mario games, we used that in our RP) So Nek came into the RP when it was still pretty new, joining the Mario brothers in the Mushroom Kingdom after the orphanage, not having seen each other since, and he's still a main character. Eventually his younger sister Lin came in as well, and then finally their stepfather Jean and then Dr. James. All four are main characters at this point. Later, Karma started an AU RP with another friend of ours, and it centered around Nek and Lin, along with the other friend's character, Azy, while taking all Mario elements out, and them putting them in a Victorian-like era. Nek and Lin lived with their stepfather Jean, and had two older sisters, Mary and Sue. (the Mary Sue reference was completely unintentional on Karma's part, but when I pointed it out we thought it was so funny that she decided to keep it XD) It was in this RP that Karma came up with the back story about Jean, Ai, and Maria, and how Maria had an affair with Ai, leading to Nek and Lin. Also, in this RP Sue was paired with James, who was originally just a one-appearance doctor we had in the Mario RP, but ended up becoming a main character in many different roleplays. Later Karma and I started another RP, once again based on the Payne family without the Mushroom Kingdom or anything, but she gave me Mary and Sue to play, since she had Nek and Lin. We wanted to have a fun little gay story though, so ended up making Sue into a male who was in love with James, and studied to become a nurse just to be with him more, and that was how Stuart was born. XD;; He ended up getting way more character development than Sue ever had, so I think he's kind of become the more 'canon' version of Nek and Lin's sibling.
I hate when people do that, just stop roleplaying... D: I think it's fair to go on without them.

Ah, no, you did good! XD Sounded very Kaiba-like. Only thing I'd change is the favorite food one; I believe it actually says in the Gospel of Truth that Kaiba's favorite food it beef fillet, but no big deal. XD;;

Haha, glad you think so. Yea, it really sucked. There were 8 people at first, 2 dropped out before the rp even started, which was fine. 1 never posted even after it did start. Of the other 5, one would take MONTHS between to post, apparently because of writers block and it had to be "good"...which I understand to some extent, but if it really takes you MONTHS to respond, perhaps rping isn't the medium for you? Because that's a long time to ask someone to wait between each and every segment. The story never moves! Of the other 4, one had drama and vanished. The next was still present, but she didn't want to post over other people, nor did she want to remove people sooooooo wall? That left me and my friend, who kinda decided screw this! TAKING OVER! So sadly it won't be the same, but it's better than nothing. Drama Q and the Wall MIGHT come back, which would be nice, but considering the past I don't want to hold my breath.
Toonshipping IS rather amazing.
I figured there was a favorite food, I JUST COULDN'T REMEMBER!!! So yea, tried really hard to bluff my way out of that question - I seriously almost deleted it. Hahahaha, that was probably the question that made me cry the most (haha, not literally, I don't literally cry ever, hahaha, ok very very rarely)! I was like uggggggh. So yea I am totally going to edit and change that now *devious grin*, thanks!

Yes, we bring it on ourselves. XD;; And that's only the very tip of the iceberg on the insane plot lines and character connections we have in various RPs. Our longest one is still that Mario one, which is presently going on three thousand pages... OMG we have no life!
Dang, that really sucks. XP Love your nicknames for people though. XD S'why I prefer to only RP with one person at a time. Not only is there not as many potential people to just up and leave, but also, after you post, there probably won't be a big delay in the next post, since the only other poster *has* to post if they want the RP to move along. Oftentimes with multiple people, everyone will think, "Oh, well I can't think of anything good to say, so I'll just let someone else cover this next post." and then no one posts. I mean, I still enjoy multi-person RPs as long as the posters are responsible and keep up, but I don't feel like they can move as far as two-people RPs.
Heehee, you could've just Googled it silly. XD I love how much drama you had over that one silly question. But you're welcome.

I doubt I will ever be in a roleplay that reaches 3000 pages, unless it spans over 30 years ~_~, hahaha. Yea, I mean with this other one it would have been fine if people were posting within a few days, not even multiple times a day. However not posting in 4 months doesn't work at all. However if it just ends up being me and my friend then guess it'll work out fine? Just different. Maybe I'll try to do a two-person one someday, just at the moment not entirely sure what I'd want to do, and then I'd have to figure out both that and someone to play with, hahaha. For now guess I'll just work on my Greek, Greek makes perfect sense, and never runs off and has drama.
I would feel pathetic googling it for some reason, especially if it took me awhile to find it...~_~

And now that I think about it, we're actually over 3000 pages, because we had an older thread with the first 250 pages in a different guild before we moved it. To alleviate more boredom, more character surveys, this time: Rebecca Hawkins (in the other roleplay, most of the characters are their Japanese names, but idk, we kinda unanimously decided Hawkins was a better name than Hopkins...hooray weirdness!!)...as she is in my Pokemon/YGO crossover roleplay...that may or may not ever evolve somewhere of interest. Gosh, that just changes all the time. At the moment I find I'm quite fond of curries and fried flounder. I like most anything that's got a lot of flavor, the spicier the better!

Oh I don't think so, I mean believe it or not me and Yuugi didn't get along once upon a time. Misunderstanding over a couple of rare pokemon you know. However now I find redeeming qualities in almost everyone...although momentarily, this Malik guy (who I'm still not entirely convinced is actually male) rather grates my nerves.

Ah, I wish I had time for such things, but I'm always on the move. And when half your life is spent making camp, generally lazing about isn't the wisest idea. Not unless you WANT all your pokemon snatched. Not every master and wannabe masters are honorable.

Memoirs of a Geisha, so sad and touching. And such pretty costumes!

It's always difficult to describe yourself, such a double edged sword. Either you are self-depreciating to avoid seeming narcissistic - which makes it seem like you are fishing for redemption, selfish in and of itself - or you perhaps flatter yourself more than others would - setting yourself up for harsh rejection. So I'll just stick with talking about my hair, hair is always a safe bet. Mine I've finally gotten down almost to my waste, it's brilliantly golden and rather sleek if do say so myself.
14. Fat/Average/or Slim?
Very slim, but most healthy 11 year olds are.
15. Rain/Sunshine?
Oh sun for sure, I spend way too much time traveling the roads on foot to appreciate the damp.
16. Pool/Beach?
Beach, definitely. There is just so much more to see and do, and I absolutely adore tide pools! I plan to have tanks of starfish, jellyfish and anemones one day
17. Camping/ Staying Home?
Well, I don't mind camping at all, but since it's what I do for most of my life, staying at home has become a bit of a luxury. I'll have to pick home for now. Maybe one day I'll miss the free ranging lifestyle I enjoy now.
18. Dog/Cat?
Oh I'm such a dog person. All big, and slobbery and loyal. What's not to love?
19. Car or Ship?
((Yes, every character I ever have answer this is going to bash this question)) Umm...where exactly can you travel where it's an option to take car or ship? Usually if you can drive there you couldn't take a boat. If you can take a boat, you couldn't drive there. This is completely silly and not at all comparable. Temporarily ignoring that though, I prefer to walk wherever I can. Or maybe bicycle. Though I'm in between bikes at present.

21. Any unusual things about you?
Well I'd say no, I mean to me I'm perfectly ordinary. You'd have to go ask my friends, competitors, family and travel companions if you'd like a more interesting myself. Either that or tell me what you'd specifically consider unusual behavior...^-^
22. How much food/drink do you need a day?
Huh? What kind of stupid question is this? Go ask a nutritionist.
23. Favorite place?
Oh too hard, I've seen too many beautiful places in my travels. My favorite place is generally wherever I am in the moment (assuming peril is not an element of that particular moment).
24. Language of choice?
I'm fluent in quite a few actually, and I can't say I have a preference.
25. Best friend?
I'm pretty close with a neighbor back home, Mable. We write letters all the time, as we prefer different lifestyles at present. But she always has many interesting things to say, and keeps close tabs on my family. It's fun to hear about all the silly things they do.
26. Weird fetishes?
Umm...no?
27. Job?
Well I'm a Pokemon trainer, gets me by. Mastery in this isn't what I'm aiming for in the long run I don't think, but we'll see. I've got plenty of time to decide what I want. Which will regardless be Pokemon related of course, just perhaps not battling.

Not really.

Spiders, they are SO icky, blech!!
30. Your family?
Well, my parents are busy people. I'm closest to my grandfather probably. I have a lot of older male cousins, they are such ridiculous idiots, but sometimes they can be fun. I guess when you spend so much time away from home you learn to love everybody, even neanderthals who probably should consider bathing more often 4laugh .

Hahaha...they are aren't they?! ~_~ I guess I can't help but note who posted the survey (even if she didn't write it), and it's kind of an old habit of mine to pick on her. Guess as I don't get to do that in real life anymore, just kind of nostalgically fighting a ghost. stressed
Won't do them tonight, but if I get to my Pegasus and Sugoroku from the Pokemon roleplay, they probably won't be very bitchy at least. So change of pace I swear!!! Hehe rofl Just because that would be pretty out of character for them. Grandpa is always nice (unless someone has wronged him or his grandson), and Pegasus is at least more of the friendly bordering perverse tease.
