"I can't say I've ever had the need to try."Ronin noticed Ren looking around at their surroundings. "You know, usually I would hate being stranded in one place. But..." he placed a paw over Ren's. "Right now, I can't say I mind." Ronin silently gazed at Ren for a moment before breaking the silence. "I have a favor to ask of you...when you're feeling better." Ronin knew he had to get his wing back in place before it got worse, but he didn't want to worry Ren when she really needed to rest.

Ren smiled a little after Ronin said that he 'didn't mind'. Of course, she didn't mind the company either, but she was still a bit concerned about their situation. "What favor do you need?" she asked, laying her head gently back against the modiphim's side.

Ronin moved to nuzzle Ren gently. For you to stay with me like this forever, was what he thought at that moment. But he decided not to say that...just yet. Now probably wasn't the best time to be romantic after all.
"I'll need your help in fixing my wing," he finally answered.

Ren nodded. "I'll try once I can move again," she said with a small laugh. Speaking of moving, it probably wasn't a bad time to try, even though she was enjoying the nuzzling. Very slowly and carefully she attempted to stand up. Judging by what she felt as she tried to move she definitely had some broken bones. including one of her front ankles. Kuso! she thought to herself, wincing as her legs almost gave out underneath her again. This definitely wasn't a good situation to be in.

Ronin tried to support Ren as she seemed to be having a lot of trouble attempting to get up. "Hey, hey! Where are you going?" he half laughed. "Maybe you should wait a while longer before you try going on a hike." He glanced over at the ram carcass. "Say, you hungry yet?"

"Where do you think I was headed?" she replied with a small smile. "Wanted to take a bite out of the stubborn beast that got us into this mess." At Ren's first attempt to limb over she nearly fell again and ad to pause to regain her balance. "... This could be a while. Perhaps you should take a nap while I attempt to make my way over. ^^;"

Ronin couldn't help but laugh. "Why would I want to do that when the show is just getting good?" he laughed again. "You sure you don't want some help?"

"Not sure it would do any good really. I'll manage." True, it was more her pride than anything else that kept her from asking for help, but after what happened LAST time Ronin tried to help.... Well, let's just say that she didn't want to put anyone in anymore danger.

A few hours later, Ren and Ronin lay next to the goat carcass, thoroughly enjoying the plentiful amount of meat that it held. "It's tough, but it's good," she remarked, licking the blood off of her mouth. "Excellent recommendation."

Ronin swallowed a bite. "I'm glad you like it," he said with a smile. "But I'm sorry it ended up getting you hurt." He looked very concerned and upset for a moment, then he hid his worries behind a smile. "There anything else you'd like to eat?"

"No thank you, I'm fine," Ren replied with a smile, looking at him thoughtfully. Since they were probably going to be like this for a while she might as well take advantage and enjoy it.

*several days later*
"You're going to have to push into it," Ren instructed, carefully yet firmly holding Ronin's wing in the correct position to fix it. If possible the past couple of days had been more painful physically than when she had actually been hurt. The healing process didn't seem to be very kind. She was however able to stand now on three out of four legs, which was a big improvement. Of Course, Ronin was in now for a bit more pain of his own as they needed to put his wing back into place. "Just do it fast to get it over with."

Ronin grimaced at the painful feeling as he lightly pushed. He knew it would be best to do it fast, but he couldn't bring himself to do it. His joint had swollen a bit; luckily not too much but enough to make it all the more painful. "This is going to hurt, isn't it?" He looked at Ren hoping she couldn't see just how big of a baby he really was.

"Yes," she replied regretfully, not making eye-contact. "Gomen ne. It's still better just to do it fast though. Makes it pop in more easily as well." Ren felt bad having to put him through this, but it was still much better than him never being able to fly again.

He took a deep breath as he finally decided to obey Ren. Ronin closed his eyes and gritted his teeth as he pushed hard and fast. He howled as he felt the bone slide back into place with a slight pop and a numbing pain. As soon as it was done, though, all the pain he had been feeling the past few days began to subside. He sighed. "Well, that's much better."

Ren's ears flattened back against her head when Ronin howled in pain. She licked him tenderly afterward. "Are you alright?" she asked with concern. Her eyes throughly checked over his wing. It appeared to be fine now, but it could be hard to tell sometimes.

Ronin smiled. "Thank you so much," he said warmly, "What would I do without you?" He looked back at his wing. He attempted to test out his wings, but had to stop mid-flap. "Hmm...Still a bit too sore to fly just yet." He looked back to Ren. "Hope you don't mind being stuck with me a bit longer," he smiled curiously as his tail flipped about happily.
