Seeing the kindly looking blue lioness glance at her, she gave her a smile before turning her attention back to the male lion. Her eyes go wide as he reached out a paw to ruffle the fur between her ears and as he said yes, she gave him a happy purr, moving her head slightly.

"Thank you so much, good king." the cub let a smile curl up from her maw and she still purred happily. "It is good to meet you, Rackna. My name's Pastel because my mother thought that's what I looked like." She said to him as they padded toward where the elephant grass surrounded the pride lands and blinked her purple hued orbs at it as she heeded his words. It did look a little sharp.

The young cub poked at the elephant grass expiermentally. Ouch, it was sharp. Raising her head she looked up at the sky and focused on a cloud in the sky in order to pad through the sharp grass, unknowingly going ahead of him a little. There was a certain reason to that; she was tired and hungry and most of all hot.

Rackna followed Pastel as she sped through the elephant grass.

"It gets easier to do the longer you stay. You get used to it pretty quick."

He told her when they both reached the other side. He looked around, trying to find his sister to come and teach Pastel the ropes, because he had already promised to go hunting with Kichea. He also knew that Solio would be alot more patient with the cub than he would be. Not that he would be mean or angry, he just would be bouncing around from one thing to another so fast. He didn't see his sister anywhere... 'Where on earth did she go?' He wondered as he padded farther into his sandy homeland. He saw Taifa, under the Acacia, and cocked an eyebrow in thought. Would she mind to watch the cub?' He wondered.

"Hey Taifa!"

He called out, trotting over to her.

"Would you mind watching this cub til I find Solio?"

Hearing her name, Solio raised her head to find her brother talking to Taifa, and a small cub near him. She stood, fur wet and mouth slightly bloody, and shook, water droplets flying off her blue coat in every direction. She then rinsed off her muzzle.

"There."

She said to herself, and started over toward the Acacia tree.

Taifa perked up in mid-yawn. She blinked the blurriness out of the edges of her sight and squinted at the two figures standing at a distance.

They still looker blurred though. Such was the distorting heat of the sun.

She could tell there was a rather colorful cub next to her king. She chuckled softly, stretching a bit on the spot before nodding.

"Of course I don't mind!"

She thought it was quite humorous how the pride suddenly started to grow, but it made her happy for her "little" Rackna.

Rackna smiled at Taifa, then the cub.

"Thanks. I shouldn't be too long... I just have to find Solio."

He nodded curtly, as if agreeing with his statement, then trotted off in the direction of the river. Halfway, he saw a moving blue blur. Solio. He jogged over to his damp sister.

"Hey sis, Pastel, the new cub, could use a little bit of a guided tour around the pridelands. She's with Taifa right now, and I've promised Kichea a hunt."

He motioned over to the Acacia tree, then bounded out of the Elephant grass, to where Kichea was waiting.

Solio rolled her eyes at her brothers randomness and started over to the Acacia tree, the scorching sun quickly drying her coat. Her icy blue eyes glanced under the tree, and she saw the pair. Slowing as she neared the Acacia, she smiled to Taifa and the cub.

"Hello Taifa, you get the responsibility of cub-sitting?"

She asked, then looked down to the little colorful cub.

"And you're Pastel, correct?"

Taifa smiled pleasantly at the approaching lioness.

"Yes, it's something I love doing," she groomed her paws idly "I always wished to have cubs of my own."

She heard the other mention the name of the cub.

"Pastel? Never saw a more fitting name."

Solio sat under the large Acacia tree, wrapping her tail around herself.

"I've always wanted cubs too..."

She trailed off, suddenly entranced in a daydream of her surrounded by cubs, but no father. She shook her head, re-entering the real world.

"Sorry."

She apologized, smiling sheepishly.

"Well, will we show the cub the ropes?"

Taifa yawned and stretched luxuriously, the stood, shaking sand off her pelt.

With a paw, she cleaned her long, violaceous flakes. Gently, for they were sensitive.

"Yes, lets."

She watched the cub curiously. It was odd to see one so young travel across the boundaries of tha male's kindoms.

Solio stood, tail swishing back and forth to get the sand that stuck to her still damp rear off. She squinted her eyes and looked across the encircled land.

"Where to begin..."

She muttered, glancing at Taifa.

"Pride getting bigger?" Kichea asked with a smile as Rackna bounded over to where she sat waiting for him.

"You bet it is!"

The ruby red king laughed as he slowed infront of Kichea. He motioned over toward the river.

"I saw some gazelle there the other day. I think they're still there."

Kichea sunk to the ground and dug her claws into the earth. "Shall we then?" She inquired, though she was already moving foreward in a stealthy manner.

Rackna lowered his bulky red body down close to the warm earth, sharp claws kneading the soft sand below. Slinking foreward, he cast a sideways smile to Kichea.

"Ladies first."

He chuckled, stopping beside her. He outstretched a front paw, the bottom showing, as if gesturing her to continue toward the river.

Kichea grinned. "A gentleman, eh?" She crept forward at a speed a little less than a run, and started toward the river. She paused and sniffed the air. They were close. And Luck was on their side. The lions were downwind. The gazelle would never see them coming. She smirked as she crept foreward, her tail flicking from side to side as she readied herself for a run.

The gazelle were drinking and grazing by the rivers edge. Some foals played with eachother and others slept whilst others kept watch for predators. Kichea almost felt sorry for them but her hunger drove her foreward. "Which shall it be?" She asked Rackna in a whisper without turning to face him.

((Sorry.. I didn't have net when I was out of town! Can I join? LOL))

Ellidanio called a cheerful goodbye to her friend the rose colored lioness Illitashia and sped to a trot, heading North in search of a wall of Elephant grass that would mark the home of her mate. She smiled at the thought of bold Rackna and his Kingship over a pride. He had always had a charming way about him, and it had been several days since their last meeting, so she was very sure she would be introduced to a group when she finally came to her new home.
Home.
Elli paused and considered the idea.
"Home.. A home with Rackna.." The thought made her smile and speed up, eager to find her scarlet mate. "I'm going home."
