"...Okay." Kanki raised her eyebrow, wondering how long will it take for Midori to catch on, "so, anyways I hid in a bush. Then when she realized I was there I made a dash for it. Eventually after some stuff she caught me, not even realizing I was another Ulaya." she took a deep breath and sighed, "and then we became friends and began to swim in the pond together talking about out familys..."

Midori listened intently to what Kanki was saying. She still didn't realize she was talking about them. Not even when she got around to the end of what she was saying. I suppose, it might've been because she hadn't been told a story about herself. Even if the whole thing had just happened, she was slow in realizing such things. Maybe she'd grow out of it when she grew up some. But right now, it was staying with her. "Oooh. Sounds like an interesting thing." She said, nodding along. She had had a smile on her face the whole time!

"Yes... yes it is quite interesting indeed, so, ummm..." Kanki remembered where she left off at, "anyways, eventually we grew bored and decided to go on an adventure, to find the ultimate tree, or at least that was my goal," Kanki said, so glad she had been able to achieve it. "Well, not too long later we did fin such a magnificent tree... and we began to scale an climb up the tree..."

Midori continued to listen to Kanki as she told her story. Slowly, it was starting to sink in. It was beginning to sound familiar. But that also took a little time for her to realize. As she got close to realizing what story Kanki was telling, her smile got bigger, and her tail began to move about more. Until it finally hit her! That all happened today!

"Hey! That happened today!" She sort of yelled out. She was excited that she actually figured it out. But it made her look pretty slow that she just realized that now. Lucky for her, she'd grow out of most the slowness. Well, some of it anyway.

Kanki laughed, "yep!" She stretched, "do you wanna finish the story or shall I?" Then again, this story would never end technically since eventually we'd be telling a story about a story about a story... and on and on. Kanki smile,d then again, that was fun about all stories, because technically they continue on forever too. Kanki mentally sighed, she'd definitely need to tell this to her children one day, pft, as if I'll have any.

Then her usually moody-loneliness pegged her, realizing she might never get to share stories. But she shook it off, she had a friend right beside her, and she was telling her a story!

Midori thought for a second. She didn't really want to finish the story, she might mess it up. Start telling something completely different, or something. So, she'd rather let her new friend tell the rest of the story. "You can go ahead." She said, still with a bright smile on her face.

It was always nice to meet new Ulaya around. Not only that, but actually make new friends. Midori was always wondering around alone, most the time, anyway. So, it was always nice to end the wondering alone, when you meet someone else. Especially when they turn out to be very nice, and a friend. Midori hadn't really met any mean Ulaya yet, so talking to any random stranger would do the trick for her. She just always like to be having a good time.

"Well, eventually we found a big hole in the trunk and crawled inside and started talking about our families again, stories in particular, since she didn't hear stories quite that often I decided to tell her one, and it went like this... no! Just kidding!" She smiled, "the end.~" Kanki hated saying the end, because it never really was the end.

Kanki poked her head farther out of the hole and looked around, wondering if there was anything else for them to do now. "It's getting sort a late..." She said, seeing that the sun was going to set soon. I hope I get to watch it! This is really a lovely view...

She smiled as she finished the story. She liked their story of today, it was actually a very nice day. Any day with another Ulaya was usually a nice day. Being alone all the time was starting to become way over rated. Well, she was starting to think it was anyway.

Midori then also peeked out of the whole they were in some. It was getting pretty late, but that got Midori thinking. She gave Kanki a little smirk, "It is getting pretty late, but maybe would should just spend the night in here! I think it'd be lots of fun!" She said nodding turning her smirk into a big smile. She thought it'd be quite awesome if she could just stay there for the night, and it'd be there own little, like, hide out. She very much liked that idea.

Kanki nodded and smiled, "okay, sounds like fun." She was really glad that she would be able to watch the sunset, and it was okay too since her family knew she was responsible and could stay out late, just as long as she came back of course, until she was an adult though, then she'd be off on her own, unlike what her mother did whom stayed with her mother since she did not know how to be a parent.

She felt funny for a moment, but shook it off, "hey, do you know how to write?" She sorta knew how herself, self-taught in a way. "cause I wanna write our names on the wall so that if we ever see this tree again we'll be able to remember our story!"

((Wanna have them have a growth spurt over night and then be all cramped in the morning? xD))

Midori was very glad that Kanki decided to agree with her plan. Midori never really spent much time with her parents. She knew who they were, and have spent time with them, but she didn't seem to be raised by them. It was almost like she raised herself. Bother her other sisters knew more about her parents then she did. Which might be sad on her part, but she had met a lot of interesting Ulaya wondering around by herself. So, she did feel bad she never spent much time with her parents.

Midori then looked at Kanki when she mentioned something about writing. Her being the only one to raise herself, she never really learned how to write. So, that wasn't much in her element. The only thing she really learned was games and such of that nature. So, she had no idea how to write. She shook her head no, "I've never learned how to write." She said, not so much sad she didn't know, but more like intrigued, as if she were going to learn how to. Her tail began to wag at that thought, she looked at Kanki very interested.

(( Haha, that would be so awesome! I agree! 8D ))

"Thats okay, I can try to write yours too then~!" She unsheathed one claw and began to crudely etch their names into the bark. "M-i-d-o-r-y... or is it an i?" She wrote an i instead of a y believing so since hers had an i too, "and K-a-n-k-i." She looked at her work, "finished!" She looked at her messed up claw and sheathed it, knowing it needed to be trimmed anyways.

She looked towards the sunset, "ain't it pretty...?" she said smiling at the array of pinks and purples. She glowed slightly, which she only did so as a box, but she didn't notice it, too absorbed by the sunset.

Midori nodded when Kanki was figuring out how to spell her name. "Yes, with an 'I'." She said, giving her a smile. She smiled even more once the carving in the tree was done. It looked pretty nice in the tree. She hadn't had her name carved in a tree before. It actually felt as if the tree was theirs. It was quite nice.

Midori looked over at the sunset when it was mentioned. It was indeed quite beautiful. She had seen many sunsets, wondering around on her own. But this one seemed to be the most prettiest she had seen. Maybe it was because of where she was looking at it. But she seemed to be distracted once she was going to say something. Kanki seemed to be glowing, and Midori's eyes grew. She suddenly began to poke at her, as if maybe it might turn her off or something. "You seem to be glowing." she said, quite intrigued.

Kanki looked at Midori when she was poked, her enlightenment being interrupted, "hm?" She looked at her paw, but the glowing had faded away by then. "Must be your imagination," she said teasingly, "I don't glow like my mother, thank goodness." She looked back towards the great view, and of course she started to glow again.

With every blink Kanki's eye lids dropped lower. She yawned, the sun completely down. Resting her head on her paws she could not stop herself from falling asleep, she was very tired for some reason. "Night..." She mumbled, falling asleep.

Midori became quite confused once her glowing faded away, and then came back when Kanki looked away. I suppose she glowed when she was doing something that interested her, maybe. But Midori just shrugged it off, and looked over at the sunset until it was gone.

She watched Kanki as she suddenly fell asleep. Well, we knew she wasn't nocturnal. Midori could probably stay up much longer, she usually did. But she'd have nothing to do if she didn't at least try to sleep. So, Midori lay down close to Kanki and closed her eyes. Her tail moving back and forth some, as it always did before she fell asleep. She seemed to be falling alseep a lot faster then she usually did when she tried to this early. It was quite odd, but she managed to fall asleep in no time.

The next morning...
Everything seemed crushed and smaller. She managed to look around, the tree hole has shrunken! She then noticed something blue and glowing, it flared up for a second as she gasped. "AHHHH!!!!" Kanki screamed and then flailed trying to get out of the tree hole or whatever strange place she may be, she wasn't so use to being large that she took it by quite a surprise to just suddenly grow over night. "Midori! Midori! Halp! Everything shrunk!" She could tell she sounded stupid but what else could have happened!?
