Atem missed the puck, Sam was really on today. "We're tied now," he said as he nit the puck back. Atem joked with her, "What's the matter? You don't like the idea of getting ice cream?" She was confident and aimed to do her best, a characteristic Atem adored. He liked everything about her, he would worship her. But he couldn't, he could only think such things.
Akiko wasn't sure if she should be flattered or insult. He final has physical contact with her and it's to show off. She smirked and replied to him, "Only if you want to lose." This time, she was relentless- quickly attacking him, dodging, then attacking again. They now have one win, who ever won the next round would win the battle. "I guess you should use that hand of yours," she said in a bit of a challenge.

Sam giggled. "I just want you to sing to me more." She said cheerfully. She didnt want to be too obvious though. She had a boyfriend after all and Atem was his friend. She didnt want them both to hate her because she had feelings for both of them. She hit the puck back but after a few hits it went in her goal.
Seto frowned when he lost and heard her comment. He took his arm off of her shoulder so he could use it to play. "I guess I underestemated you." She changed her game play. She had been waiting to see how he played. Very smart. But he knew he was smarter and didnt want to lose. They were each tied with one round to go. "Ready?" He asked challengingly.
Yugi smiled and cheered for Akiko when she won. "Yeah! Great job! Now one more win!" He said, standing on the side of the game and leaning against the side as he watched. He wasnt really watching the game, he was watching her as she played. She was so beautiful, he couldnt take his eyes off of her.

Atem laughed as he hit the puck back. "Are you sure you want to hear my ancient singing voice?" Atem joked with her. He would never dream of singing, but he would make an exception for. He smiled as they continued to play- showing he was in good spirits. He seemed to forget about his limitations and decided to just live in the moment. However, he still played his best, though he would sing for Sam- he prefered to rather take her out for ice cream. He missed the puck again, resulting in a point for Same. "Tied again, 4 to 4."
Joey cheered as well. "There you go! Come on! I've seen you kick a** before! Don't hold back!" Joey said. Akiko was more of a friend, so he wanted her to win. Plus he would love to see somebody kick Kaiba's butt. Joey was tall enough to stand behind Akiko and watch, where Yugi was more to her side. Though he saw that he was looking at her more then the game. Oh well, whatever- he thought.
Akiko smiled at her cheers. She appreciated it, and felt she did need it. Seto was good, and she knew it. He wasn't some push over at the arcade. All of her friends were excellent gamers. Yugi was great as well, but she felt she could play with him for the fun of it. Seto didn't seem to play for the fun, well- maybe a little, but for the fact of winning. Which was fine for her, gave her more of a reason to win. "I'm ready," she said focused. Sometimes she would zone out and just focus completely on a game. She looked over at Yugi one last time and smiled before she brought full attension to the game.

Sam laughed a little at his joke and smiled. She didnt answer though. She wanted more then anything to win this so he would sing to her. when she got the point she smirked. "Losing your touch?" She teased and waited for him to serve again.
Seto won, not easily this time though. She put up a good fight but he still managed to win. He smirked, looking at her confidently. "See, I told you I would win..." He said. He had a mischievious glint in his eyes as he leaned down. "Do I get a prize?" he asked.
Yugi frowned when Akiko lost. "Its ok Akiko, you still did really good." He said. He watched as Kaiba basked in his glory. He was so arogant. She deserved so much better. When Kaiba leaned down for a prize Yugi panicked. he grabbed her wrist quickly. "Lets play another game!" He said quickly and pulled her away from Kaiba. He didnt want her anywhere near him.

Atem served the puck. She smirked confidently and replied back to her, "Maybe your just getting better." He was a little distracted, but he could tell she was getting better. Or perhaps just more determined. Either or, it was still a challenging match.
"Aww, man....." Akiko said. She was actually really close, but lose in the end. She did feel herself claim up a bit, but she wasn't going to use that as an excuss. She raised an eyebrow and smirked at Seto as if saying 'yea yea'. She slightly blushed when he leaned down, was he actually going to kiss her? Her heart sped up, but it was a different feeling. It was more of panic then anything. She then felt herself being pulled away from Seto. She looked over to see Yugi. "Y-Yug? Are you ok?" she said in a slight whisper.
Joey snapped his fingers, "Damn, so close." Joey couldn't help but laugh when Yugi pulled her away before Kaiba went to kiss her. He litterally pointed and laughed at Kaiba. It was just simply funny. He kind of felt uncomfortable when he went to kiss her, but it was for no apparent reason. He shouldn't care, so why did it bother him?

Seto growled irritatedly when his girlfriend was pulled away from him. He glanced at Joey and glared at him. For some reason he felt disapointed that the blonde responded in that way. What was he hoping for. He closed his eyes for a moment and hit Joey in the back of his head before following after Yugi and Akiko.
Yugi smiled trying to convince her that he wasnt up to anything. "Yeah, I'm fine. I just want to play another game." He tried to look calm and cheerfull. His face turned a bit red and he let go of her wrist. He didnt know what came over him. He wasnt the kind of guy to do that. He normally would have just looked away. But his feelings were stronger then anything he had ever felt. And he couldnt stand seeing her with Kaiba.
Sam smiled at the compliment but was distracted by that and the puck went in her goal. "Uh oh." She said knowing he only needed one more point to win and she needed two. She quickly served it back.

Akiko took her hand back when Yugi let go. She was nervous because she could feel tension in the air. She felt guilty for no reason, none that she could see. She could hear Seto's footsteps come closer. Her back was facing him. She looked away from everyone with her eyes. She denied her uncomfortable and confused feelings and let them bottle up more. Logic ruled her thoughts: Yugi was her friend and Seto was her boyfriend.
Joey rubbed the back of his head. "Hey! What was that for!?" Joey yelled out. He followed behind Seto, to where Yugi and Akiko were. Why did he smack him? He was just laughing, he didn't do anything to him.
Atem smirked cooly, he felt confident that he was going to win. Then he could take Sam out for ice cream. He really tried. This round lasted a long time. Atem protected his goal elegantly while still returning it with all his might. He heard Joey shouting and glanced over a bit. He really only did so because he felt a sting of fear- the 'caught red handed' fear. Luckily, Joey had his attension on Kaiba. Unluckily, he missed the puck. "Shout," he mummbled a bit. He just glanced over, but it was just enough to throw him off. "This is it," he said as he served the puck.

Sam cheered when she got a goal. "Yeah! Now one more!" She said confidently. She looked more excited. She really thought she was going to win. She didnt even notice Joey yell. She was too focoused on Atem and winning.
Yugi frowned. He felt like he just ruined everything. There was a lot of tension now. He looked around and scratched the back of his head. "So what do you want to play next?" He asked everyone, trying to sound happy.
"For being an idiot." Seto growled at him angrily. He stood beside Akiko silently. He wasnt mad about Akiko being pulled away from him, he was more mad about Joey's reaction.

Atem smiled, Sam was so happy. This game was long, both players were good. But know it came down to the final point. Atem's muscles throughout his body had a tense sensation. His adreniline pumped up, he was enjoying this very much. If he scores, he could be alone with Sam, just the two of them. It would just be for ice cream, but that would be enough. The puck seemed to blur as both of them hit it back and forth.
"Hey! Don't call me an idiot, Kaiba!" Joey yelled angrily. How dare he say something like that to him. "What's your problem anyway? All I ever did was try to be your friend! You act like I'm nothing," Joey argued. He finally out and said it, he was just upset for some reason.
Akiko was about to say something when Joey seemed to explode. She turned around and backed away, now stanging inbetween Yugi and Seto. "Hey- Jo, Seto.... why don't you guys just calm down?" she said calmly. Was all that tension transfered to these two now? She looked at Yugi and whispered, "Did I miss something?" Though it was still nerve racking, she was relieved she wasn't part of it, nor Yugi. She just stayed back, should she watch? Should she stay and referee? Somebody had to.

"If you havnt figured it out yet, which I dont doubt with that punny mind of yours, I dont want to be your friend." Seto said harshly. He looked at Akiko when she spoke. "I'm perfectly calm, the mutt is the one making an uproar." He said logically, as if pointing out the obvious.
Yugi shrugged slightly but he knew he had to calm down and defend his friend. "Joey, relax, you know Kaiba always says this stuff." He said to Joey before looking at Kaiba and glaring. "And its always your fault, leave Joey alone."
Seto just scoffed and looked away smugly.
Sam kept reminding herself to focous on her prize. It would be like for a moment that atem loved her, and she couldnt give up that chance. She wasnt sure if she could keep up in this game though. After all Atem was a game master. She would need a lot of luck to win.

"You are such a jerk!" Joey yelled as he then looked away and crossed his arms. He looked at Yugi and nodded, "I know it's always him," he mumbled.
Akiko just froze when Seto outbursted in insults. She didn't know what to do, she felt divided. It took her a while before she actual said something. "Joey just calm down ok? And Seto, maybe... maybe you could be a little.... less forward?" she said trying to choose the right words. Asking him to be nice seemed unlikely. "They're my friends....." she said. Akiko then quickly added, "And Joey's your sister's boyfriend." She gave him a pleading look. She felt like she was caught in a flame. Her manner was almost childlike.
Joey just huffed at Akiko. He knew she meant well, but he didn't want to 'forfit a battle'.
Atem couldn't keep up with Sam's hits. He was sure he could, but he just couldn't anymore. The puck went into his goal, Sam had one. He didn't get it, his arm wasn't tired. He just felt he couldn't hit it anymore and just slowed down. Did, did he want to lose? No, he never just threw games. "Looks like you won," he said as he picked up the puck to put it down on the table. That was the best game she played against him. Now he prepared himself for the bet. He couldn't help but smile, he new Sam was going to remind him of what he had to do.

Seto rolled his eyes. "So?" He asked her. "I dont have to put up with my sister's mistakes. And sooner or later you'll realize I'm right about them." He said angrily. "All of them." He added as he glared at Yugi.
Yugi frowned and then glared back. "Akiko's nice and our friend. She would never choose you over us..." He said confidently and then looked at Akiko. "right?" He asked.
Sam looked at the goal unbelieving at first before a big smile spread on her face. "Yay! I won!" She said, hurrying over to the other side of the table to face Atem, looking quite smug and happy about winning. "I won. You know what that means..." She said teasingly, a smile still on her face. She glanced over at Joey and the others. "But, lets do that later..." She said. She looked back at him. "But if you still wanna go get ice cream..." she started, blushing.

Akiko finally snapped as she just glared at Seto. She was striken with anger- a thousand things to say to him popped into her mind. She had to edit them all, they weren't very nice. She was mad, but knew she could start a bigger fight if she said something- so she gave him a horrible look. She heard what Yugi said, but didn't even look at him. She felt caged in, she felt a need to escape. She managed to growl under her breath, just enough for Seto to hear, "Guess I was a mistake too." She walked passed Seto and bumped into his shoulder, she headed out the door. She just wanted to leave. "I'm not choosing," she whispered to herself.
"Mistake?" he said in a puzzled manner. He recoiled slightly, he never saw Akiko angry, at least not like this. He was expecting her to shout, but she just left. "Now look what you did," he said. Joey just doesn't now how to edit what he is thinking.
Atem smiled, since Sam was smiling and teasing him. "You did great," he congradulated her. He rubbed the back of his head and blushed a bit, "Yup, a deal is a deal." He was a little releaved that he didn't have to do it now, but he did kind of what to. He would be able to tell Sam how he felt. She may just think of it as part of the deal, so will everybody else. But he'll finally get it off his chest. He smiled cooley, glad she wanted ice cream as well, "Of course I do." He looked over at the others and crossed his arms, "What's going on?" He was so into his and Sam's game that he didn't notice everything else.

"I guess so!" Seto called after her angrily. He glared at Joey. "Like I care." He stated, growling. He was already starting to feel guilty for saying such things but his anger blocked out all other emotion and rational thinking. 'If this is anyone's fault it's your's wheeler!" He yeleld at him, clenching his fists.
Yugi frowned, his heart aching for Akiko. "Akiko!" He called and quickly ran after her. He ran in front of her in the hallway to stop her from leaving. "Your not a mistake to anyone! youre probably the best thing thats ever happened to Kaiba! He is just to blind to see that!" He tried to convince her. "Just forget about him..." he pleaded, grabbing her hand.
Sam had been too destracted to notice as well. She walked over to stand between her brother and boyfriend. "You guys are fighting again?" She asked witha sigh. She was so sick of them fighting. She could never go against Seto. She was already dating soemone against his wishes and beign friends with his 'enemies'. She just wanted everyone to get along. Once that was done Her and Atem could go get ice cream. But she didnt know how to tell Joey without not inviting him.

Akiko gritted her teeth when he yelled back. She didn't get very far, Yugi stopped her. Even after all that- after acting strange, distant, and not even choosing- he still cared. Her face cringed, she did feel like crying. She let go of his hand, but she reached out and hugged him. She didn't know what else to do. It was only a few seconds, but she held him tight. Then she let go and ran past him and out the door. She held back the tears, she wouldn't let herself cry. She got on her bike and looked down at the bars. "I don't know," she said outloud to herself. Her arms were shaking, her whole body shook- she just sat there on her bike not moving.
"This isn't my fault! I'm not the one who..." Joey said as he was interupted.
"Joey, calm down," Atem said as he stood in front of him. He knew Kaiba was wrong, but if Joey kept mouthing off it would result in even worse fight. He watched Yugi go after her, he couldn't help be be proud of his former hikari. He looked back at Joey and said, "Just stop- trust me." Atem didn't want them to fight just as much as everyone else. He also knew it would upset Sam. He didn't say anything to Kaiba, he wouldn't listen anyway.
"But Atem..." he tried to say. He looked at Sam, he knew he shouldn't make her choose- but he knew she would never be on his side.
Atem shook his head, telling him to just stop.
