Kiyoko listened as the group was coming up with a plan, as well as the other three people who had stayed quiet give their thoughts and opinions. She thought that picking a partner was a good idea, but she liked the idea of staying in one group better. She knew that this would cause problems, but at least if they came up against something, then at least one of them would be able to have the unique power needed to defeat a foe. But she knew that that was wrong and not helpful, so she waited to see what would happen.
She kept shifing the weight of the hand holding the staff; the thing, although rather breathtakingly beautful, was rather heavy! She would have to get used to it; it's better than large backpacks, anyways.

Timmy looked down at his hands. I wonder if I have powers? He wiggled his fingers. ... How do I make powers work? He tried concentrateing really hard; everyone else had done it so easily! He put his hands down in frusteration. One of them hit a buckle on his side and he abruptly jerked it away as a huge static shock jumped from it to his hand. He looked at his hand in time to see blue electricity dance over his fingers and then disapear. I wonder if that's... He remembered his weird new hair. As he walked along, he tried to do it again, not really looking where he was going, just following the sounds.

It was a nice, sunny, relaxing morning. Birds chirped away, the grasshoppers made their little screeching noises, screams of little kids could be heard. It was all perfect; the first day off of school in the middle of the week in a while. Josh took lively steps out of his front door which he slammed shut behind him and half-pranced across the street into the welcoming park. The young man shook his head, cold water sprayed into the air.
Book, check The book in his left hand rose up so it was directly in front of the boys face. Music, check The same hand reached into the pocket of the sweatshirt he was wearing and the headphones snaked their way up to his ears. and now...play The play button was pressed on the hidden iPod and the high school student began his early morning walk. He flipped through the pages of his novel to the page where he had left off and started to walk on the far right side of the path that meandered around the park.
Music blasted into Josh's ears. His eyes scanned the page drinking in every word and enjoying the fantasy of it all. His eyes reached the bottom of the page and he flipped it to reveal another yet unread page. As they scanned across the first line a little black line above the book - outside of his fantasy - surfed across his horizon (of view). Next the soft sound of wheels on concrete floated past the sound playing through the boy's ears. Next, laughing.
He slowly lowered the book to see what had actually drawn him out of his book and saw two kids on skateboards about his age. The problem? They were five feet away, and not watching where they were going. Maybe they didn't expect anybody to be up that early or something, but they were gunning for their unsuspecting victim.
Josh saw them too late to even dodge out of the way, too late to even react! Just before the impact the skater whipped his head around and locked eyes with him, his arms were thrown up and then they hit.
Josh took the impact right to the chest and his feet were taken right off the ground. As he was in the air flying backwards the first thing that ran through his mind was, Man, he must've been going fast!
It was taking way too long to hit the ground. Did the music stop? Where's my book? Questions darted through his cerebrum, too many for his mind to comprehend. His head started to hurt and he began getting dizzy, even though his eyes were screwed shut. Then it came: "Oomph." Air rushed out of Josh's lungs. The impact was a lot less than he expected but it didn't mean that the ground didn't hurt.
The boy let out a soft moan and then quickly retracted his hand. Am I wet?! He opened his eyes only to see a slightly darker hand than his own glistening with the sheen of water. What is this? The hand in front of his eyes was moving on the accord of his will, but it wasn't his hand at all. Josh stole a glance to his left and noticed a small pool of water. He was lying on the damp sand of the coast.
He didn't really care what his hand looked like; he was definitely not in the park! The boy placed his hands on the ground in order to rise his body up and spotted brown, leather boots and tan-colored pants. Okay...what the hell is happening here? I was not wearing this this morning. I was not near a-a-a lake. I don't even know where a lake is in relation to my house!
His hands found there way up to his hair - common reaction to stress - and started to make their way backwards across his scalp. A wisp of air escaped his mouth when his thumbs grazed over his ears. They were definitely longer than he had remembered, and pointier((if that makes sense)).
Just then he heard voices from across the little body of water and saw a whole array of mythical creatures. A girl was floating in mid-air, a few of the people had wings! What kind of delusional place was this. Since he was already standing up, Josh walked the short distance towards the group of people. He wasn't sure if he was interrupting anything or not, but he felt that in his dream-world, he had first priority and asked, "Can anybody here tell me what the gist is here?"

Kiyoko heard another plop! sound, and turned to see another person drop onto the ground. He too looked very lost, and was alot younger than most of the ones here. He couldn't be more than 16, if even that. She felt a motherly-like self taking over, the one usually working with kids in the store. "There's nothing to worry about; we're just as lost as you are right now." she said honestly, with a kind note in her voice. She noticed him hesitate a bit to come towards them. "We're not gonna hurt you! Right now, as far as I can tell, we all got here by some strange accident, which involved falling for a time past when one should feel impact. Right now we're divising a plan; ask them for better details, since I'm not so great with stuff like that. I'm Kiyoko." she added, her cat ears bouncing as her head moved. "And you are?"

It was a blue-haired and blue-eyed girl that spoke up. She had two soft colored ears set atop her head. Neko Josh had a freak fascination for mythology and fantasy so it wasn't hard for him to figure out what type of race the girl was, but one with blue hair and eyes of the most vibrant shade was absolutely beyond anything that he had ever imagined a neko to look like.
When this neko-girl, Kiyoko, said that every person in the clearing had appeared in this new "world" by some sort of "accident," it sparked a little interest. It sparked so much thought that he pretty much spoke directly to the very kind girl, "So you're telling me that I arrived here because I was hit by a speeding skateboarder?!"
He was ready to end with that when another idea came to him, "And you're also saying that I'm not dreaming?" After the fact the boy felt that he didn't even really need to ask for a few seemed to be on their toes, spiked from adrenaline. "And you are?" A voice in Josh's head seemed to remind him that this woman had asked him a question!
"Oh, and I'm Josh by the way." He gave a little grin (not the full-fledged smile, that'll come later if you're lucky).

Namine looked at the new addition. He had to be an elf. She grinned im not an elf and still we have similar ears. For some reason she was anxious to get to the river. Then it dawned on her. Her mermaid instincts though that swimming in the ive would be excellent. At least till they got to town. Namine switched the trident to her other hand. She then tucked her hair behind one of the pointy ears and then decided she shouldn't. Her ears stood out enough as it is. "Well guys are we going or not?" She looked around at the group once more. She decided to take the lead and moved towards the river. AS she walked moisture droplets would rise and be absorbed into her skin..they kept he moist.

Kiyoko took a moment to answer, since she was still confused herself. She stared at the crystal orb in the staff before speaking; the orb was still blue. "Well, as far as accidents go, that's most likely it. As for myself, well, I fell off the top of a ladder with a huge bike in a box probably crushing me....well, assuming we're dreaming, that is. That would mean I would be in a coma at the hospital, and this wouldn't be real. However, we all seem to be having the same 'dream', so it's getting complicated....I'm rambling, sorry!" she said quickly, turing a tad red for a moment. "I-in other words, we're really not sure, but we're gonna find out." she finished, her face turning a normal color again. Then a thought occured to her, and a important one.
"Oh, are we going into the river, or following it. Sorry if it's a 'duh' kind of question, I just can't swim very well...." she trailed off when speaking to the mermaid, also realizing that cats don't swim either. That's a double negative on her part; that wasn't good. Perhaps she'd have to find a way to cross safely; mabye her powers would finally show! That would be wonderful!

Star sighed. So much for getting to know each other. She thought the josh kid looked pretty hot, but then again so did all the other guys. Star couldn't help herself. She was a bit of a flirt herself, and liked to party. Cold and sarcastic, but still wild. That was her, for sure.
Star landed, and started walking with the others. She knew if some of the guys had seen her when she was on earth, then she would have them drooling just like the rest of them. Yes, Star has a big ego...a very big ego.

This girl, or woman - whatever she was, was really helping Josh to understand little details of the journey they were supposed to go on. She quickly apologized for rambling and Josh noticed that her face had taken on a little color. He reassured her though that it was fine - and everything was worth a lot for something.
Kiyoko directed a question at the mermaid, but before she could even answer Josh added, "Yea, I actually think that that's a good question... are we swimming or walking? Because if we're swimming I'm sure I could help somebody." But he wouldn't just leave it at that. He tacked on, "Do you think you could fill me in a little bit on what's happening? Kiyoko over here," he jerked his thumb in the direction of the girl, "said to ask somebody else, because she's not too good with details."

Namine turned and spoke in her soft french accent. "Mon cher's I hope you were not thinking I would take you into the river. We are only going to follow its winding path. As for me I'll follow it but while in the water. I can't shake my longing to swim. Don't worry I'll make sure to stay close to help should anything arise. Plus since its quite a lot of us we can all look out for each other." Somehow she felt that her, Anne, and Liam had taken control of the situation and found themselves leading the pack. She focused her red eyes on each one. " We shall look out for each other oui?" Namine waited for the group to move once more and she kept her eyes on each just in case they deviated from the path.

Timmy was still fumbling with his powers when he noticed that the party had stopped again. He looked up and saw that another person had joined their group. He overheard him say his name was Jake when he was talking to the cat girl who, he gathered, name was Kiyoko. Timmy decided that if they were going to be traveling together, he should introduce himself. He adjusted his halberds and walked over. Bowing slightly then giving a quick salute. "Crazy not-dream, huh? My name's Tim (Timmy to my friends) and I'm... well I think I'm still human, but who knows?" He pointed at Jake then Kiyoko. "So, how did you two get here?" He started to slowly walk with the pack, head still turned to the two he was talking to.

A new boy walked up and greeted Kiyoko and Josh rather nicely, but the young man couldn't help but chuckle when the still-human-looking boy got his name wrong. "Hey, it's Josh, buddy. Close enough." The pack and Tim started to move, so in order to keep up and to talk naturally Josh had to walk too.
"Wait, so you want to know how I got here? Well, I woke up in the morning and got my daily shower, but when I went downstairs for breakfast my aunt informed me that there was no school. I was already showered and changed though and ready for school, and one thing I'm going to tell you about me is: I can't stay still for a long period of time. So, energy had already been building up so I decided I would go for a walk in the park across the street, but I also wanted to read a book that I was really getting into and naturally when you go for a walk in the park - you listen to music. So I had all of my gear and was jacked into my iPod, and I was walking in the park with my book up in front of my face. I was on the far right side of the path mind you - and I got hit by a speeding skateboarder that I guess didn't see me. So, I went flying through the air, never hit the ground and ended up over on that bank back there."
Josh let out a deep sigh after sharing all of that information about himself, he just hoped that someway, somehow, that info couldn't turn around and bite him in the butt. "Sorry about the whole long story there, but you asked for it!" He smiled a little bit and sighed again, looking up at the deep blue sky looming overhead.

(( sweatdrop Right right. Got your name mixed up with the other RP ))
"Hey, it's Josh, buddy. Close enough."
"Right right, sorry." He waved his hand dismissively.
"... long story there, but you asked for it!"
Timmy nodded and grinned. "No problem. Your stories mostly like mine in all the ways that matter. I was just getting out of school and whoops!" He made a whooshing sound and he swept his hand. "I fell down the stairs outside the school and found myself face first in the grass of another world." He shook his head in disbelief. "On top of that, my hair's this crazy color," he gestured at his bright blond hair with the thin blue streaks, "And I keep shocking myself on anything metal!" He brought a hand close to one of the metal buckles to demonstrate, and a jagged blue light jumped from him to the metal when he was still four inches away. "And the jolts keep getting bigger!" He couldn't notice, but his eyes flashed briefly from their normal green to an electric blue.

((Oh it's cool I just didn't feel like correcting you through OOC so I made Josh do it smile ))
He fell down the stairs? Well, that pretty much sucks, but it's better to land in this world then to break his face...
"You're lucky though to have landed in this world rather than the concrete or whatever you would have fallen onto."
"...my hair's this crazy color" Timmy made a swift gesture to his hair. It was a sick blond with sweet blue streaks coursing through. "And I keep shocking y self on anything metal!" Slowly Tim's hand got closer and closer to one the buckles on his pants. When he was still a considerable distance away an electric blue spark jumped the gap between his fingers and the metal.
"Personally, I think that you hair looks sick. And as for the electric that's also..." Josh had been staring at Timmy's face in general, but all of a sudden the other boy's green eyes seemed to dilute with a quick jolt of electric blue like the spark. "D-did you just... did you just do that to your eyes?"
Josh stopped walking and peered closer at the other boys eyes trying to catch a glimpse of the lightning spark again.
((was my description of the eyes changing color fine?))

Rose was feeling slightly ignored by everyone. Then again it was somewhat obvious she would be. "Yeah, yeah. Everyone just ignores the freak with a coffin on her back." She rolled her eyes and walked under the trees. Everyonce in awhile she'd stop and reshoulder the thing. It finally became a habit she hardly noticed anymore. Then the eyes started to bug her. She could feel eyes boring into her. It started to freak her out so she stopped. "Hey guys... I'll catch up with you in a second." Laying the coffin down, she opened the lid a little and saw the red eyes peaking out. Gulping she opened it more and screamed falling backwards. For a second, she had seen a huge black crow with vicious teeth. She was shaking slightly.
Nikol heard Rose and grinned. "Hun your not the only one. Though it's nice to get away from the attention. Modeling was always work and I could never get some peace around anywhere." She sighed and finally realized she was flying. Well more like gliding... Her wings would flap here and there to keep her up as she continued under the trees. It was easier to see now because, there was shade and it made things easier to see. "Guess day is like night to me." She held in a small laugh. It was normally that way when she got her way. She hated mornings and loved nights. Yawning she saw she had fallen back a few yards and noticed Rose stop. Slowing down she saw the girl put the coffin down and red eyes appeared. Then a creature with bloodied teeth, black beedy eyes and, razor sharp claws flashed before her eyes. Her jaw dropped and she flew up high ignoring the pain of the sun and her blindness. She landed in the shade of a few trees next to Josh and gulped. "D-did you s-see that? M-maybe you should go ch-check on R-rose?" She stuttered not wanting to look back. There was no way she'd go see Mr. Monster with Rose. Nu-uh. Not in a million years.
((Btw; I'm making the thing in the coffin a nightmare. So it shows up as a persons fear or something from a nightmare. That means it VARIES for everyone. That's why Rose saw a crow and nikol saw a monster. ^_^))
