So I hurt myself pretty bad this morning at about 7.38 on the train to work. I got on the train and took my phone out of my pocket and something fell on the floor underneath the seat I was sitting on. It was a spare button for my coat so I took my umbrella to reach the button under the seat (filthy under there) and when I got back up with the button... MASSIVE PAIN in my right shoulder and emanating throughout my whole right arm. My vision went white with stars and I felt like I was going to pass out. While sitting. >.> I breathed deep and blinked my eyes rapidly for the feeling to pass, but my right arm was paralysed with this horrid horrid pain. gonk At the last stop where I got off I almost passed out again, because of the pain coming back (I hadn't moved my arm for 35 minutes on the train). My boss said I should go home, since my right arm had been rendered useless since I couldn't lift it or write with it, but I insisted on staying and doing things slowly and h4xoring with my left hand. Which was difficult. The pain started going away after hours and now at least I'm able to type and write and lift my arm a bit without too much pain. I have no idea how I managed to sprain my SHOULDER MUSCLE, but I don't want to do it again anytime soon.
Oh, and a pair of scissors slipped my hand last night and cut a sliver of skin off my left forearm. I have a round plaster on it that looks like a nicotine patch. biggrin But hell, that didn't hurt but the blood... oh, the blood. D:

Yeah... this kind of muscle strains feel terrible. And always come unexpected when you don't even lift anything heavy. You just use the muscle in the wrong way when it's cold (I mean the muscle).
I hope you'll get better quickly. I guess you should. *hugs*

@ Mana: I wouldn't call that a dumb moment, just a very unfortunate one.
That damn button.

Well I felt dumb afterwards while in pain: "WHY DID I GO FOR THE BUTTON!?!? WHY, GOD, WHY!?!?" etc. I could've just left it, I mean... it's just a button. D:

Well, I'm sure if you knew you would be in a lot of pain after you reached for the button you wouldn't have reached for it.

Indeed... one button is surely not worth so much... I had a similar incident... but it wasn't really dumb as in pretty unlucky chance. Earlier, I went to my storage unit to get some check blanks and setup automatic payments for it. Anyway, after putting the stuff in my car, I get out to be blasted by wind and have my hair wrap around my glasses and rip them off my face, the frame is broken and held together by electrical tape so the lens popped out and got blown under my car by the wind... it was pretty lame. Still not smoking too~

Mana: but it was all because you're a good girl and didn't want to leave anything behind you on the train which is not left in the waste basket. It's a normal behavior.
Anyway, how's your shoulder?

Better, thanks. ^^ My arm got better the following day and now my shoulder's just a bit sore like from under the shoulder blade (so whatever muscle is there, got hurt), but I can manage it. It should be better after the weekend. At least I hope so. :0

If it's that better now, it'll get totally ok until Monday, I'm sure. Just try not to lift much with that hand, if possible.
