Violetta nodded in agreement to what Raven had suggested, "That's a great idea! All Aiko has right now is Terra, I think he's a little too mature for her. I bet she'd love to meet someone her own age!"

Still grinning, she reached over and grabbed Kristian, pulling him closer, "And speaking of meeting people, this is my big brother Kristian. Don't think him too rude for his greeting, he's like the with everyone. Totally overly shy, ya' know?"

And with that, she pushed Kristian away and began speaking again, "So, how old are you, Raven? Are you still in school?"

Kristian sighed, still slightly embarrassed from Violetta's actions. He knew she meant well- she was always afraid people were going to think him rude, or stuck up from his anti-social behavior- and she was just trying to introduce him properly, but really, he wished she'd find a more subtle way to do it. Then again, Violetta was never one for being discreet.

Looking quickly over towards the boy that his sister was talking too, he gave a slight smile, hoping the boy wouldn't find his sisters actions too odd and just go with the flow. Then, off he went, trying to find something to entertain himself with. The thought of going to get something to eat came to mind, and he might've went through with it but just then two more people entered the shop. Ack, it was getting crowded...

The second newcomer, he couldn't help but think, looked oddly familiar. Yes, that was right, he had met her when he first came to the shop to investigate Terra. What was her name again... Leelee? No, something with an 'm'....

Stepping back slightly as he caught the girl's slight movement backwards, Fiach couldn't help but duck his head and blush. He always felt awkward around people smaller than him, and this petite girl made him feel especially awkward. He was afraid that if he touched her, she might break, and took another step back at that thought.

Laughing a little nervously as she said she recognized his voice, he scratched the back of his head and blushed a little. "I know...I should have...I'm sorry I didn't..." His head ducked a little again, man did he hate making a bit of a fool of himself. People situations weren't his best area - darn Sionce for making him handle everyone all at once. Especially when everyone was concerned over their hackers!

Gently accepting the girl's hand, he shook it and smiled. "A pleasure to meet you as well, Miss Melee."

Out of the corner of his eye he saw Suki enter the kitchen and vaguely worried over whether or not she'd leave it as clean as she found it.

Silently counting up how many people were in his shop, he fervently hoped no one would make a large mess. Firmly, he decided that if they did, then Sionce could most certainly help in the clean up afterwards.

Melee gave Fiach a perplexed look as she noticed him inching away from her but didn't comment, instead shifting closer as he took her hand. Perhaps he was nervous? Smiling at the thought, she considered his features and realised this must be Adalia's brother. How strange that they were so opposite.

"There is no need to apologise," she smiled lightly. "I imagine that you must have a lot on your mind." She gestured at all the people around her, despite the fact that it was quite early. "But please, just call me Melee. Miss Melee..." she wrinkled her nose. "Ah... You said in your message to bring Fleck in for a check-up. This is Fleck." She showed him the PDA, finger carefully covering the hacker's earlier message. Not to be outdone however, Fleck nudged the chat box with his tail, sending it across the screen.

< I don't need a check-up. Just tell us how to fix it. > He fastened Fiach with a glare.

Sensing Fleck's anger, Melee sighed and made a soft noise of apology. There wasn't any helping it really. Fleck was Fleck, and Fleck was snappish, even on good days. Glancing away in embarrassment, her eye fell on Kristian, the quiet boy she'd met here not too long ago. She quirked her lips and gave him a quick half-wave before turning her attention back to Fiach.

In the kitchen, Suki happily hums a tune while she makes coffee. "I can't find the coffeemaker, so I'll just make one myself" she thought as she stirs the cup of coffee continously. "Two teaspoons of coffee, one teaspoon of sugar, two teaspoons of cream, and pour some hot water..." she sang as she merrily stirs her coffee. When she was done, she took a cleaning cloth to clean up. As she wiped off the spots left from coffee spills, she sang another song. "Wiping and singing, singing and wiping..." When all was done, she went outside with her coffee.

As she went out, she saw Fiach still talking to the girl outside. After a sip from her coffee, she approached the two. "Fiach, I'm done with my coffee. I even cleaned the kitchen for you." she said as she wore a smile on her face, "Might I ask the name of this girl here?"

Blushing at the confused look Melee gave him, he couldn't help but duck his head once more. Why is it I always make such a big fool out of myself around people? Sighing slightly, he wished that, for once, he had Adalia's people skills. She usually got on well with just about everyone, as far as he could tell.

Nodding when she asked that he call her Melee, not Miss Melee, he quietly responded, "All right Miss...uh...I mean....all right, Melee." His head ducked once more, before he continued on, "I do have a lot on my mind...but it certainly isn't an excuse to give poor customer service, is it?" At the last, he flashed a smile, hoping his attempt at humor would help alleviate his obvious, but slight distress at the situation at hand.

Glancing down at the PDA she proffered, he couldn't help as a small sigh escaped from between his lips. "A pleasure to meet you, Fleck." He tried to be as polite as he could, but the agitated hacker made him feel agitated. An annoying habit of his. "I can't fix it - but if you enter Cyberspace and search out the White Rabbit with Trisste and the others, you very well could help fix the problem for everyone, Fleck." Hoping the possibility of being a "hero" might help distract the hacker from being, well, aggravating, he heard Suki approach from behind and turned slightly to include her in the conversation.

"Ah. Thank you." He blushed at how she'd made sure to add she'd cleaned the kitchen. Mentally making a note to remember to check on it later, to see if it was up to his standards. Raising his hand to introduce his current companion, he politely said, "Miss Suki, this is Miss Melee." Gesturing towards Suki he added, "And Miss Melee, this is Miss Suki." Even as he introduced them, he realized his error of adding "Miss" to their names and blushed, hoping neither would make a comment about it.

Melee tilted her head to get a better look at Fiach, mouth twitching at the colour in his cheeks. She felt at ease around this man, an ease she hadn't felt around his sister. Maybe because he seemed so much like... No. She shook her head to clear her thoughts, and also at his good-natured words, letting out a surprised laugh. "Not at all. Your service has been excellent so far." She chanced a sideways glance at her PDA.

Fleck was scrutinising Fiach guardedly, tail snapping in agitation. He ignored the greeting in favour of dissecting the man's latter statement. White Rabbit and an entity called Trisste...

< Melee, plug me in. I'll find the Rabbit quickly and we'll go home. > The hacker prowled the edge of the screen, eyes glowing. He hated operating at below 100% and a telling tension coiled in his shoulders like a spring.

"Whatever you say, Fleck..." Melee sighed exasperatedly. She nodded at Suki, giving Fiach an amused look as she noticed the slip. "It is very good to meet you. If you would both excuse me for a moment? It is just that... Fleck is impatient to get going." She flashed a smile before darting away to the row of computers, hooking Fleck into the system with little trouble. "Take care," she breathed, but the hacker was already gone.

The man looked how Violetta excitingly agreed to let both Hackers meet, and how she introduced her - seemingly overly shy - brother. He smiled.

"Nice to meet you, Kristian. I'm Raven, though you probably knew that already."

He frowned when the girl pushed her brother aside, wondering if she was always like that with her brother. Though funny to see, he'd also feel sorry for the boy.

"Nah. I'm too old for school now. I work in the informatics industry. Installing software, fixing problems and the like for the customers. Oh, and creating or debugging software our corporation is trying."

He shrugged. It wasn't a big deal to him, just daily stuff and not that hard if you could work a little with a computer.

"What about you?"
PostPosted: Mon Nov 19, 2007 6:49 pm

"Oh wow, Raven- well, I guess I should call you Mr. Raven!- you're old!" The red head laughed, meaning old as in "all grown up." "I'm still in high school, but I'm a senior so it's my last year. I like art and music, and I want to sing on cruise ships when I grow up so I can travel to exotic islands for free and sing for groups of people in fancy dresses at the same time!"

Violetta grinned- she always liked telling people her dreams, it made her feel good inside, thinking about what she some day hoped to accomplish. Though, she did feel a bit sheepish at the same time, since Raven had a job in technologies. That meant he must pretty smart, something that, according to the school systems, Violetta was not. She had always managed average grades in most classes, but really had to struggle with math and technologies.

"It's really impressive that you work with so much technological stuff, you must have been really smart in high school. Did you have to go for college for long? What kind of things do you make? What does your corporation do? Do you want to work with computers forever and ever?" Violetta asked all this pretty quickly, a bad habit of hers- drowning someone in a series of questions much faster than they could respond.

Meanwhile, Kristian slowly meandered around in the background, poking around at random machines here and there. Finding an under construction computer off in the corner, he fiddled with it ever so slightly. His older brother, Elias, was really good with computers and he been trying to teach Kristian a thing a two. Apparently though, he hadn't taught enough. Sparks flew from the machine and Kristian quickly covered his hands with his long hoodie sleeves, putting them over the sparked part. Once that was taken care of, he quickly moved away, not wanting to be around if the machine caught fire and/or blew up. Things had a habit of doing that to him.

Blushing even deeper at the laugh Melee gave, Fiach rubbed the back of his head in embarrassment once more. He hadn't expected her to say his customer service had been excellent so far, and his brows furrowed momentarily as he tried to decide if she was merely being polite...or actually meant it. Thinking the latter sounded much better, he flashed her a grin of thanks.

Fiach nodded politely as she excused herself and turned to look around, see how everyone was doing. He was pleased to see that Raven and Violetta seemed to be getting along well, Melee seemed to have no difficulty sending Fleck off, and the boy that came in with Violetta...messing with computers. Sionce would kill him if anything happened to those! Quickly starting towards the boy, forgetting to excuse himself from Suki, he winced as the boy suddenly covered the machine up with his hands. Noting the boy moving away quickly, Fiach moved to intercept him, asking him what he was doing, as he did so.

"Hey! What do you think you're doing over there?"

Melee murmured a quick prayer for safety, wishing she knew more about the perils of Cyberspace. Sure, she had basic knowledge of trojans, phishing, spyware and the more malicious bugs - what internet user didn't these days? - but it had never been something to be concerned about. Nothing a good antivirus and firewall couldn't fix. Or the local technician, if it came to that.

Still, real danger like this? It wasn't something she'd been prepared for and worry ate away at her mind. Fleck had been close-mouthed about the subject, as immovable as a bundle of data could be.

< An ever-shifting plane > he'd volunteered. < Not bound by laws like yours. > As cryptic and eloquent as ever.

Melee jumped as she heard the crackle of electricity close by, dark thoughts momentarily forgotten as she looked up to see Kristian fleeing a smoking machine. Fiach wasn't far behind him, and she winced at the expression on his face. This didn't bode well...

Suki smiled at Melee as she excused herself from the group. As she walked to the computers to plug her hacker in, thoughts flashed in her mind. "This girl seemed to worry about her hacker a lot..." she thought, staring at her coffee, "I never seem to worry about Satoshi quite like that. I know Satoshi's a brave boy, but what if he needs my concern that much, and I never bother to give him enough?"

Her thoughts were instantly gone as she heard an electrical crackle. Seeing Fiach hurriedly ran to where a young boy covering up a smoking computer, she followed him to see what's going on. As she reached the computers, she reminded herself that it was not her business, and to let them be. Instead of approaching Fiach, she approached the computer where Satoshi is plugged in, and watched the hackers find out a way to cure their diseases.

Though Dean usually had trouble sleeping, once he managed to fall asleep he slept like a rock. His phone vibrated on his bed stand rather loudly, but he was asleep at a decent hour for a change. With it being rather cold out, he'd climbed under his blankets to warm up and became so comfortable that he actually fell asleep without any pills. Unfortunately, he'd forgotten to relieve himself before bed and thus was awaken by a 'call of nature.'

On his way back from the restroom, a flashing red light catches Dean's attention. He rubs his eyes a bit, though one was simply a solid white sphere to hold an eye's place, and blinks quickly to enable his vision to focus. Realizing that he has a message, Dean lifts up the phone and dials his voice mail.

"Infected," he says quietly with a sigh. Dean wanted to go back to sleep, but knew that he should get his laptop checked out in order to protect little Zest. He closes his phone and sets it back down, moving to his closet to quickly get dressed in some jeans and a t-shirt. He shoves his wallet, keys, and phone into his pockets, puts on his shoes, and grabs his jacket. It was too late and too cold to be running around without it anyway. He'd actually taken his laptop with him to work to show something to his coworker Jacob, so it was still packed in its case and ready to go. Grabbing it, Dean hurried out the door, barely remembering to lock up behind himself.

And, with that, Dean put his legs to work by running (rather quickly) to the shop. He stops outside, hearing a bit of commotion as he catches his breath. Opening the door slowly, he calls out, "Hello? Fiach?"

"Just call me Raven, that's okay."

Her comment about him being old gave him an awkward feeling inside ( xp ), but he didn't felt offended. The girl's hyperness was rather funny and disarming instead of offending.
As she told her dreams about singing and traveling to exotic lands, he listened carefully. She sounded really enthousiast about it, which made a smile appear on his face.

"That's interesting, I think I'd like to travel once a while. It must be nice, indeed, to see different cultures and learn different languages. I guess you must be training your voice quite a lot then?"

He eyed Kristian a second as the boy walked away - one of his typical doing, he always looked what happened around him, no matter what - then he looked back to the girl who was overwhelming him with an avalanche of questions. It startled him, as he couldn't figure out what question he was supposed to answer first.

"Uuhm. Well...", he tried to figure out which question to reply first. "I'm not that smart. I have good grades in languages, math and technology. All the others like History, Geography and what more, well... I'm bad in those."

There were more questions, he remembered that, but he waited to reply to those so not to confuse the girl; or himself maybe?

Kristian looked over at Fiach and shrugged, then turned away, partly out of embarrassment, partly out of shame. He should have known better than to mess with something that wasn't his. What if he had permanently damaged it? Well... he didn't know what, but he certainly didn't want to find out.

Violetta nodded as the boy spoke to her, not really even noticing that he didn't answer all her questions. Subconsciously she already knew that it was rather unlikely for anyone to answer so many in such a short amount of time. On the conscious level, she had already forgotten exactly what she had asked. (xD)

"I don't think you give yourself enough credit. Languages, math and technology are the hardest ones, and the most useful. I mean, when are you ever going to use history, anyways? No one's ever come up to me and been like," - at this point she deepened her voice, as if to impersonate an older man- "'Say young missy, can you tell me the years the civil war started and ended and what the leading causes were behind it?'"

At this point Violetta cut herself short, looking over to where Fiach was saying something to Kristian, and the shop keeper did not look happy. The red head continued to talk to Raven, going off on a new tanget. "Oh noes... I think Kristian is in trouble. I know he's my big brother, but I really worry for him, he's just so bad at communications. I think it's because of his speech problems, ya' know? It was always easier for him not to talk then to try and talk right and his mom actually encouraged him to keep quiet. She was embarrassed by him and said it made him sound retarded- which he isn't, Kristian is sooooo smart. But she was a real witch... Do you have any brothers? Or sisters, I guess. Since you're a boy, a sister to you would be like a brother to me, or at least I think."

Glowering down at the young man that had made one of the computer catch on fire, Fiach checked it over to ensure no lasting damage had been done. Breathing a sigh of relief as he realized that there was no damage done that would not be fixed easily, he made a mental note to scoot the computer off to one side, perhaps hide it under something, before Sionce came in next. Remembering how Sionce had reacted to the broken monitor, he concluded he didn't exactly want to see him over anything more vital being broken on a computer. Nodding thoughtfully to himself, he turned back to Kristian, eying him suspiciously.

Frustrated that Kristian had fiddled where he wasn't supposed to, he couldn't help but grumble, "Please do not play with things that aren't yours." Gesturing towards the computer he added, "What if the damage you'd done had been more permanent? You could have just destroyed someone's computer, you know." Sighing, he immediately felt bad for saying that - the boy before him seemed to have trouble around others, and here went Fiach chewing him out. Wincing, he scuffed the toe of his show on the floor before apologizing, "I'm sorry, didn't mean to yell at you. You didn't do any severe damage to the computer, but please do not play with anything you see here like that, okay?"

Patting the boy on the arm, he hoped that he'd sounded genuinely sorry enough, and that the boy wouldn't be afraid of him. Hearing his name called out, he spun about slightly, trying to locate where it came from. Seeing the man panting near to the door way, he raised one hand in a sort of half wave before responding simply, "Yes?"
