All of this woman's happy was making her want to drink more, so she finished off her beer, placing the cup on the raffle table just in time to get dragged off. She stumbled after Chikara, eyes narrowed in distaste, clutching the hilt of the bottle as if she meant to bash the energetic woman upside the head with it. "Uh...probably a bowl, I'm not too sure how clean the bucket is. And there's no chips because Orestae, the lady who runs this place, is a ******** idiot." A ******** idiot who was going to miss out on some badass margaritas. Take THAT.

Chikara smiled again and snatched up a bowl, emptied the entire bucket of margarita mix into it, and said, "Really? I've never met one of those, before. She must be a really special person. How much vodka do you wnat to put in? If we put in the whole thing, it'll be really alcoholic, but I don't think you'll mind. Is she going to get Tostitos? Or has she run off to go clubbing? I do that a lot, and then I remember I've left the stove on." She grabbed a serving fork and began stabbing the iced vodka flavoring with a relish, humming lightly to herself.

Jesus, didn't this woman have an "off" button? Inle twisted off the bottle's cap, taking a few quick swigs before tilting the bottle over the bowl. If she was gonna have to deal with THIS all night, she needed to be drunk, the more the better. "I don't KNOW where she's gone, and I don't know what kind of chips she's getting. Why don't you go find her? I think she just went to the 7-11 down the street." Inle really had no clue where Orestae had run off to, but anything to get this yappy woman off her back.

Chikara beamed at the other woman. How nice of her to entrust her with this duty! She would do her best to find Orestae and not cause a fatal accident. "Okay! I'll go find her!" And she ran off, still carrying the fork, without asking what Orestae looked like, or where the 7-11 was.

Inle watched her go, amusement mixing with surprise in her eyes. Well...she certainly hadn't expected it to be THAT easy, although she wasn't complaining any. With a satisfied smile, she turned back to the margarita mix--only to see that her new little friend had run off with the fork. With a muttered curse, she searched the table for something to use to finish breaking up the ice, eventually coming across a box of plastic sporks. She gave a long-suffering sigh, grabbing one and turning back to the bowl to continue chipping away.

Karma eagerly looked up as Calumet did, grinning with some pride. He had scared away the it for Asrafel! He bet he was happy-

The grin Karma was currently wearing faded, drowned out in the sadness of which he was looking into. There was no luxurious smile, no 'Hey Karma!' said with bubbled enthusiasm. No tickle underneathe his chin or lift beneath his heart.
Only a broken-hearted expression.

This confused him. His eyes were currently wide with shock and sadness, as they turned to see the toddler beside him hug Asrafel with some affection.

Karma didn't know what to do. He didn't even react to Calumet.

He just sat there, letting the new realization of this new emotion settle into his skull. What was it called, again?

Baniru had accidentally snorted into her beer, which is why she escaped to the drinking fountain on the other side. Her shirt was now covered.
"Damn.."

Chikara walked down the street until she found the 7-11. Walking inside, she stopped dead in her tracks and blinked. Something rather shiny had caught her attention. What was it? Oh, look! She had a fork in her hand! How did that get there? Oh well! She was in a 7-11 and the world was her oyster. Kind of.

She walked over to the slushie machine and filled up one of those double-flavor cups stuck the Twizzler straws in both of the holes and walked into the snacks section, where she brushed past a woman with blue hair, staring at two kinds of Tostitos. Chikara grabbed a large bag of potato chips, and walked to the counter, where she paid the 3.18 for the food, and walked out into the street, still carrying the fork, slurpee, and chips.

"Hey! Balloons!" Chikara skipped off towards the Benedict Center (as the sign proclaimed) and opened the door. "Hello, everybody! Want some chips?" She recognized one of the women, who was standing next to the snack table, chipping away at a chunk of margarita mix with a plastic spork. "Want a fork?"

Asrafel looked up when Calumet reached out to hug him, and smiled faintly.

"Aww.. such a sweetie." He rose his arm to wrap around the toddler, while keeping his other arm securely wrapped around Karma, and he pulled both of them into a tight hug.

"Karma, I want you to meet Calumet. Calumet, this is Karma."

If he could not be happy, the least he could do was make sure all the toddler knew one another. Perhaps they could find happiness in friendship, at least.

Morian had never claimed to be an idiot. Blind, however, well. His vision was close to.

"Er-. Thanks..." he muttered, not taking much of a liking to Inle. She was just like him, and that always meant trouble.

He wandered over to the kegs, and found himself a plastic cup to fill with the brown liquid, before he took a sip, and looked around. Where'd Dragonfly gone off to? Ah. There she was. Still at the raffle table, it seemed.

He snorted a bit, and glanced towards the door, debating whether or not to make a discrete escape. But, no, he'd said that he'd stay until the raffle was over. If Morian did nothing else, at least he kept his promises.

Dragonfly meanwhile, couldn't help but giggle at what Donny siad, and she nodded her head.

"Oh, I very much want to see why it's your special hat when the raffle is over, Donny," she grinned, reaching out to gently fuzzle the child's hair, before stroking her fingers through once more to make sure everything was sitting the way it had been before.

Karma tried wiggling away, out of Asrafel's arms. He didn't want to meet Calumet, he didn't want to see anymore sadness, he wanted his mom now, for the first time in his considerably short life. He wanted her more than anyone.

"NO!"

He was quite a selfish boy, to be sure.

Her ears perked up at a certain cry of 'No' that came from few feet away.
"Karma?" she asked softly, dropping the paper towel she had taken from her pocket as use to clean her shirt.

Sukkubus

Jocelyn was blushing furiously - out of anger, of course - by the time she made her way towards the beer kegs, having no idea where her feet were headed. She clutched her bear tightly, glaring daggers at the ground and damning the world for being so unfair! Sukku was gone and Joce had just been getting used to the company the winged boy provided, no matter how weird he looked (being naked and all), and then the little oompa loompas had decided to do away with her! And that mousey girl too! The blonde bit back angry tears as she kicked the foot of the table, causing the keg to rattle.

It's not fair!

She sniffled loudly and dragged her arm over her nose, turning to lean against the table. She wanted to go home; she had even argued about coming with her so-called-mother to this stupid place. But nooo, Sukku had wanted her to make friends with the children she had assured her to be here. Well, how was she to make friends if everyone was so selfish?

Looking around she noticed everyone seemed to have someone. Well...she wanted a friend too!

"It's not FAIR!" she all but cried, fingers digging into her plushie. No one would hear her, anyway...the music was too loud.

A little while outside did Chuu lots of good, and she reentered the building to see the ribbon boy in a rather melancholy state. Was he sad because of something she did? Hopefully not; she couldn't stand the fact that she had hurt someone-

-The blond girl. Why did it take her this long to realize that she had made that one upset? She had better go apologize before the weight of guilt became too much to bear. Scanning the room over several times, the young magician found a rather dejected-looking Jocelyn clutching a ragged teddy bear. Slowly, she made her way to where the other girl was sitting.

"Hi.. I'm sorry I hurt you earlier. Uhh... do you like magic tricks?" Man, that sounded so flimsy, but oh well. Before waiting for a response, Chuu brought her right hand forward, palm facing down. She closed it into a fist, and rotated her wrist so her hand faced upward. Then she opened her hand to reveal a small chocolate bonbon. "Do you want to try it? It's really good!" Smile.

Bird Draggon

Bird oftentimes questioned the existance of her sanity.

For instance: she had taken one look at the loud speakers and the open portrayal of booze and knew it had been a mistake entering. In fact... she wasn't quite sure how she'd gotten herself there.

... Best not to wonder about those things.

Papree slowly shrank back as the noise seemed to get louder, clamping a hand around the closest arm attatched to Bird. Why were they here? Why was it.. pounding?

Asrafel didn't expect Karma to want to get away so easily, but he was used to handling children in general, and when a child wanted out of his arms, he was always inclined to let it. He unfurled his arm from around Karma, and gently stroked his hair, before noticing his attention toward his guardian. Asrafel smiled softly, comforted by the fact that Karma was quickly becoming attached. No, there would be no fear of separation for them anymore!

He hefted Calumet back up into both arms, and whispered in his ear. "Hey Cal, remember the shiny ball of light?" It was starting to get darker outside, which meant that the strobing ball of colorful lights was even more prominent and noticeable. Asrafel set Calumet down by his feet, and unfurled his arm from the boy, while keeping a close eye on him.

He still hadn't gotten over the girl that had come and gone. It was like a little, lingering tickle in the back of his mind, one that kept him from smiling as full as he was used to. At this point, he figured he just needed some time alone to think.

And Asrafel never wanted to be alone.

---

Jada snuck a peek inside of Donny's hat, checking to see if there were enough papers inside. "Has everyone put their name in for the raffle yet? One per family~" She chimed out brightly, trying to speak over the music to make sure no one missed out. Adonis gave the angel a sly, unhappy glance, and clutched the hat tighter. Calling more people over just meant the chance at more hat thieves!

"Karma..." Baniru walked over to his toddling form, sweeping him up in her arms. "What's wrong? You've never come to me like this before."

Karma sighed sadly, clutching his mother's shirt. He realized that she smelled nice too, and that she was very warm. A comforting arm draped around and underneath his small body made him feel secure.
Listening to her heartbeat, the toddler gently drifted off into a world that was no longer as strong as it once was.

Baniru, on the other hand, was pretty frightened. This sudden change in a bratty kid his age made her wonder exactly what had happened. She scouted out a spot against the wall in a corner, and eagerly walked to it, planting herself firmly to the ground.

"What did you experience that drained you so, I wonder?"

She decided it would be better to let the toddler rest and observe the scene.
