Lore laughed quietly at that, yes he could imagine that, because that's how he felt. He couldn't say he hated it, all the writing and everything was so interesting, however it did make him quite uncomfortable.

"I've never been in a place quite like this," he admitted, "This kind of work you don't find in the city back home and the biggest grand place I have been in hadn't been made out of stone."

Tinúviel looked down at Skye and smiled. "My name is Tinúviel," she replied eagerly. She knelt down so that she was closer to the little angel's height - she was, after all more than twice her height. "And this is your first time here, isn't it?" she asked curiously.

It kind of got hard to keep track after a while.

"This castle was built by the dwarfs, actually," Elnara mused. "Ironically, actually. But no one can match the dwarfs' skill for working with stone, even with magic to aid them. If the elves had built this castle, as they did the last one, it wouldn't have been half so magnificent."

She stepped closer and slipped one arm around his side, not only for her own comfort, but for his as well.

"I didn't like it when I first came here because I was used to the plantation where I grew up," she murmured. "I loved it there ... the open air, so much to do, so much to learn ... but here, I always felt trapped - and alone. Even with eight brothers."

Skye blinked up at Tinúviel, a little confused. She had understood some of what her cousin had said, but she had spoken rather quickly ...

"What say?" she asked, her brow furrowing with confusion. "Say again ... please."

"Oh," Silvrendir nodded. "Did you have fun? What did you do? Who did you see? Did you see Tinúviel?" He was curious about everything, with a curiosity that made him far more talkative than usual.

There were footsteps at the door, but it wasn't Atalya who entered the room: instead, it was an extremely tall elvish woman (taller, barely, than Tinúviel), who was as thin as she was tall. She had waist-length black hair and her skin was a shade darker than Tinúviel's as well. She was dressed nicely, but in clothes that weren't anything like Tinúviel's. Instead of a light gown, she was wearing a teal vest over a sleeveless white blouse, and loose pants that matched the teal of the vest. Her belt and trim were gold, and despite being dressed in what was, to some, recognizable as the uniform of an off-duty Home Guard trainee, she still looked very nice.

As she gazed at the strange group who had gathered, she broke into a wide smile, and she called out into the hall before turning back and facing them again.

"Hello," she greeted them in English as she was joined from behind by another elf.

Elrohir, wearing only a pair of neat black pants, started when he saw Elnara and the others with her. He put one hand on the shoulder of the woman he was with and stared, but said nothing.

Lin was about to regale Silver with her adventures here when the two elves came in. She blinked, and looked at Elrohir, and then at the woman, and then at Elrohir. The woman wasn't related, otheriwse she would have met the woman already. Lin thought... and thought and finally pointed to the woman.

"Elrohir! Is she your girlfriend?" she asked with the bluntness one thought only belonging to Donovan, but with the ability as a child to get away with it.

Lore coughed at that, not believing and yet believing at the same time that Lin could ask a question like that. Though he had to wonder who these people were, he hoped more that Lin didn't accidently insult someone.

Elnara froze at Lin's comment and stared - not at the woman whom she had never seen before, but at her brother, who, of all people, she had feared meeting with - especially right away.

Without realizing it, she pressed herself closer to Lore, and her eyes shot to her children, who were scattered about the room, as if to make sure that they were all safe.

The memory of the last time she had seen him were apparently not as gone as she had believed.

Serenity fell silent where she was standing next to Skye and stared at her uncle. She might have spoken to him, if not for the stranger that was with him.

Skye was distracted from her conversation with Tinúviel and blinked at the two who had just entered. Her wings flapped once curiously, and then she smiled and skipped over to the two of them. "Hi!" she said brightly, doing a little twirl in front of them. She giggled and looked (way) up at them. "Skye," she introduced herself, pointing at herself again. "Who you?"

Elrohir stared at Elnara for a moment, then blinked and smiled down at Lin.

"Yes," he replied to the little girl after a moment's recovery. "Or rather, fiancee. Haradhel, this is Lin, who I told you about ... and ... my sister, Elnara ... and Serenity, there ..."

He trailed off, not knowing any of the others.

Haradhel nodded slowly and smiled. She didn't miss the way the princess was looking at Elrohir, and from what she had heard from Eärendil, she didn't blame her.

"Welcome home," she said to Elnara in a slightly accented English, smiling encouragingly.

Tinúviel smiled and remained silent, waiting and watching to see what would happen. It appeared as though Skye had a one-track but wandering mind, anyways, so she didn't bother replying to her again.

Lin couldn't help but tilt her head, for there was something different about Elrohir though she couldn't put her finger on it. Pehraps it was the fact he just seemed to smile at her (maybe he did forget about the mountain thing again).

"Did someone give you a lot of hugs?" she finally asked.

Lore wrapped his arm around her shoulder reassuringly, since he did not really know Elrohir he did not see any harm in him. In fact he seemed quite nice at the moment, which was a relief, otherwise this could get off to a bad start.

He smiled, "As Skye said, her name is Skye, and this is Celebor, Storm, Starr, Idhril, and Silvrendir."

Elrohir chuckled at Lin's comment and slipped both his arms around Haradhel's stomach, pulling her close and putting his chin on her shoulder. "Lots of hugs," he agreed with a grin.

Haradhel put her hands overtop of Elrohir's where they were clasped on her stomach but otherwise ignored him for the moment.

"And you, sir?" she asked the white-haired elf who had introduced the children. "What about you? You haven't introduced yourself yet." She smiled warmly at him.

Elnara relaxed slightly into Lore's embrace, but she was now more surprised than anything else and still couldn't speak. When had Elrohir stopped being so uptight and formal? He would never have acted the way he was now when she had known him ...

Then again, she reasoned, love changed things. Look at herself.

From Lore's shoulder, Idhril smiled and waved at Haradhel. "That's my Papa!" she said brightly, patting Lore on the head and grinning proudly. "Papa takes good care of us, and he teaches us a lot! When I get bigger, I'm going to help Papa with his work so he can come see us more!"

Lin nodded satisified with the answer, only because why else would he just smile like that? Only someone who had been hugged a lot would smile like that, look at her Daddy, he was sweetened up and hugged by her Mommy and he smiled.

Granted it was in prviate and often the smirking kind.

Lore blushed a bit, partly because he didn't want to give anyone the wrong idea that he had.. well... he was sure Elrohir would give his sister more credit than that, he hoped.

"I am Lore," he introduced himself.
