The warrior smiled as he walked forward with her. "Well, You'll see-" The angels voice was interupted by one of the guards. "Ahh, Not these guys again!" He kicked the ground with a laugh. By this time he was close enough to hear everything.

"Hey, whats going on?" Geoff said talking to the guard. "Why can't we get in here?"

"We're in a state of war. No civilians are admitted without business of pressing importance." the guard answered.

Raine parted her lips to ask a question, only Geoff beat her to it. Shiero doubted that flashing her pendant would cause these guards to double over like the previous ones had. Yes, they were allowed permittance into the city, but this castle was a different story. Apparently, there would have to be some sort of important matter for the three-- erm, four of them to enter, and oce again, Raine doubted the enchanted artifacts, so to say, was important enough to the King.

"A war, yes well.." Artemis began, lifting one of her delicate hands. She tapped her chin lightly with her index finger before continuing.

"About those..." She mused almost sarcastically. It was at that moment she shifted her arms to cross over her chest. She had no intention of entering into the castle what so ever.

A smile pressed his lips as he heard the sarcasm escape Artemis' mouth. So now they were rightback at square one. "So is there anyway that we can meet with the King? Were not with the Enemy..." The angel paused. "Were not even in this war." He looked around, then back to the guard. "Im sure he wouldn't even mind speaking with us."

"The king has more pressing matters to attend to then speaking with civillians." The guard on the left said. "So, if you have no business of consiquence with the king, then you had best leave now."

Well, it was worth a shot. It worked well last time.
Placing her curled hand innocently on her chest, Raine's fingers played with the strong silver chain, revealing the amulet.

"Sir, please. We only wish to have a few words with him, it would take no longer then ten minutes." Shiero pleaded as she took a step forward. Her hand slid down to the base of the charm, moving it back and forth childishly on the chain nervously.

The two guards glanced at the pendent, then at each other. The guard on the left made a gesture with his head and the other guard disappeared through the front door. "Just a minute." the remaining guard said. A few moments passed, then the second guard reappeared with a man dressed in fine, thick clothes. The man, obviously not the king, looked quite surprised to see Raine.
"Lady Raine? What a pleasent surprise. It's nice to meet you." the new man said. He then turned to the guard and gestured rather violently for them to move aside. "Come, come. Follow me." he said to Raine, walking into the castle.

Nodding her head in response, Raine smiled slightly as an unfamiliar man approached her. How did he know who she was? Yes another unanswered question to add to the list, however, that one in particular would probably be answered relatively soon.

Following him obediantly, Raine glanced back to Geoff and the new woman who seemed rather fixed to the spot. Placing her hand on her son's shoulder, Shiero's eyes shifted down to the ground once again as she followed the man into the castle with Raithill and Geoff. Artemis waited outside.

The Angel raised an eyebrow as he seen the man come out of the castle, and retreat back in, just as fast. "I guess, that pendant..worked, again." The warrior said smiling, following Raine. He turned around and motioned to Artemis' that he would be right back, if she wanted to stay and wait that was fine. If they asked one question, that displeased the King, things could turn around on them quick, And they may be in for a fight.

The King wasn't far now, and then he could finally ask some questions. The angel didn't speak as he walked down the long halls.

The man led them quickly through the castle and up to a pair of door, which the guards standing sentinal opened for them. It seemed as if they'd stepped into a dragon's horde. Gold, silver, and rare gems decorated every surface possible. Eveything seemed to glitter in the room. The man led them through to the end of the room where a man in very fine clothes sat on a throne of polished gold. "Your majesty, Lady Raine, previous head of the council, and guests." the man announced, bowing to the king before leaving.
"Ah, Lady Raine." the king said, standing up. He was dressed from head to foot in finery. Jewels glittered off his clothes like violently disturbed water. The weapon hanging from his side, so drab as it was in conparison, almost wasn't visable. It was a katana in a simple black sheath, identical to the one Rathios had been wearing when Raine had gone to meet him. "A pleasure to meet you."

Lifting the base of her skirt into a polite a curtsy, Raine bit her temporary escort farewell and gave the King of the Fire Realm the respect he so deserved.

"Good day to you, my liege." She said aloud,

"I assure you the pleasure is all mine." Raine responded, relapsing from her bowed position into her fomer erect standing posture.

"I only wish to take a portion of your time. Today, I have come to you in search of knowledge about the so called cursed artifacts." Rather then the more shy approach she took on earlier, Raine had more of a business face.

"I am certain you have an immense amount of knowledge on this topic, my Lord."

The Angel stayed behind Raine and leaned against the wall, listening to them speak. Was that the cursed item they were looking for? Dangling from his cloths. The sheathed Katana.

It would be a good way to protect it, but if this item is as dangerous as everyone says, wouldn't having it so close, indanger him? The Warrior just leaned back, with an amused look on his face and waited.

"I'm certain I have no idea what you're talking about." the king said, sitting back down on his throne. Raithill sat on the floor and began amusing himself by looking around at all the fancy decorations. "These 'cursed artifacts'... What are they?" the king asked.
PostPosted: Fri Jan 11, 2008 7:00 pm

Raine blinked obliviously. He must have known what the artifacts were, for, he was wearing one of them. Mind you, Rathios had the same weapon in which was exactly identical to Durithills'. Was this some kind of sick joke?

"Your Majesty," she began calmly,

"they are the remaining pieces of what the mighty demon, Durithill left behind, one for each realm." She explained. She didn't want to be giving out all of the little information she knew, for, she was sure it would spread like wildfire to those whom didn't know of the secret power the artifacts were said to have.

"Durithill..." the king said, pondering the name for a while. "It's a name I can swear I heard before, but do not recall. Either way, why should I be concerned with such things. I'm sure I have quite superior artifacts already." he said with a laugh, gesturing at the room. "And if these artifacts are in the other realms, then they have no impact on me anyway."
