Aha! I just thought of another one!
Ok, so for the crop walk, we have a competition to see which section can get the most people to come perform. Whichever section has the most people gets the crop walk sign for the year, and a year's worth of bragging rights. (Us tubas got the effort award...we had five of us show up, the most ever.)
So the trumpets, in an effort to get the sign for the third year running, made a scarecrow of one of their members. Now it's known as scarecrow Evan, and it accompanies the trumpets to pep games, even when the real evan is there.
(that was just the background for my story, but I guess it's pretty crazy, for trumpets...)
So one day before holiday band sectionals, we were all in the tuba room (minus ben...and we're not telling him that we did this...xD) and we stole scarecrow evan's head. lol. We left a ransom note in it's place, saying FLUTES RULE!, but saying to leave the brownies in the tuba room.
(We have yet to recieve any brownies...)

every year during band camp one person gets duct taped to a chair. it is really funny. We have a room called the Panic Room. It is a very small room and it has carpet on the walls. it is really scary in there. claustrophobia any one?

sadly, the flute/piccolo section really isn't that crazy. crying Before a show we have a tradition of eating a mint altoid for good luck. xp

well beginning in summer band we had a running joke about one of my section leaders and the french horn section leader being together(he got so pissed everytime we brought it up) even though they are both guys and allegedly straight cause they both have had girlfriends and we kept this joke going on till we got back from the holidays and he actually had a real girlfriend(freshman percussion) in which case we then started to moo at him cause her last name is cowan (COWan get it so lame i wonder who came up with it) and the next day the cross country coach moos at him cause he runs and of course it doesnt die
oh and during marching season we got this new trombonist(we all hate him) so he didnt have his own marching shoes yet and had to use the schools old ones that people left in the band hall last year so what we do is we hide his marching schoes on top of our slots(our school is lame we dont have rooms for the various sections we have slots with our name underneath them) and he goes weeks without his shoes and im laughing at him cause i know exactly where they are and they arent that hard to get down
we used to be on the back row pretty centered well our BD moves us up to like the second third row on the far left so we ended up right behind the flutes and me and ashton(she really cool) got bored and were gonna be stupid so ashton gets her slide as far out as she can and pokes one of the flutes in front of us with it and then blames it on me which i deny but then a few minutes later after that flute turns around i do the same thing to her and say that time it was me the other time nope but hey it was funny(she turned around so fast we barely had time to get our slides back in all the way)
during summer band we have a contest for the section that can create the best little bit of art using your instruments(my section didnt win but ours was the coolest and we should have) well the flutes are lame and do a campfire thing(just like any other year) and colorgaurd does a star and percussion form a heart with eagle drumline inside it using their sticks and my section(trombones) topped out cause we decided to honor our cool section leader Amado who said that he will open an amusement park and call it Odamaland and we call him Odama(yeah its his name backwards) so we get our horns disassembled and spell out Odamaland however after odama we run out of instruments so we scratch out in the dirt and use our mouthpeices to point out the corners

holding the trombone player's slide for a whole song (prevented me from hitting alot of notes, but kept me from being pegged with it) we took turns at that for a while, ditching the new alto that the three of us (me and the 2 alto guys) hate. seeing if any of us could lift my tenor 1 handed, and the ultimate bored, poking clarinet players with pens (it must be a sport)

My section is reallllly boring. But the french horn's are hillarious. On one song the lifted there instrument's up and waved them in tune with the song. It was so funny everyone started laughing, even the director.

I dont know my section has done some crazy things the craziest I think is probably setting up a long row of chairs in the band room and doing jumping over them and jumping over each other doing splits our head section leader pulled a muscle and sprained his knee so that was a really bad idea and the band director caught us

just our section doesn't do much, but if u get most of brass together we like to act out LOL, One incident i remember was when we were hanging out in the ensamble room, and mat (a really annoying trumpet) was acting up, so colin came up with a plan to shut him, he went to his locker and fetched an industrial roll of cling film, and a roll of sticky tape (don't know why he had them) We waited untill mat was preoccupied, then we push a table be hind him, held him on to it and cling filmed him to it. we then picked up the table and took it outside. We were all laughing until our head of year arrived stare
We then started plotting what the cling film could do next. About two days later we decided to cling film our conducters car, and tie a big bow on the bonnet in tiolet paper. She stood there and said how the hell do i get in it LOL

Its my Freshmen year in High School and I play clarinet and we call ourselves C Squad! At our last football game of marching season we played a song called tubthumping, and we had only played it like once, so the whole band were all playing different rythyms at different times and it was so hilarious cuz the drum major stopped directing and just started laughing smile And after we sang Hey Baby, the whole band didnt stop singing till like 5 times after we were already done and a group of guys kept singing the rest of the game smile

Ink_Pen It's usually the percussion that's crazy. They make so many weird games and and destroy so many equipments and break so many bones it's either laugh or die after a while. -.-'' But I'm in the trombone section. We all look out for each other, but we're not that close. We would help eachother gang up on random students and lock them in the band trailer, in the band garage, or in the music library. Once, we shoved someone up a broken ceiling tile and he had to be careful not to break the ceiling. The biggest thing that happened was last year when they were throwing a sax player's shoe to eachother playing keep away and when they tossed it to a flute player, and when he threw it back, it broke a trombonist's nose. Pretty ironic because it's the same trombonist who's shoe fell out during competition and marched without it earlier that year. =.='' me too not the pickin on kids part (sorta) but the percussion section is crazy!!!! they dance while they play their parts... at the end of the year we have a dance off and one of the percussinist are goin 2 win of course

After UIL marching contest we wrapped the tuba section's volenteer BD's car In saranwrap and t.p. and put 'We made 69!' (because that's how long we have gotten ones in marching at our HS) and Hearts and 'We love you G!' All over It! It was really funny That was at school... Then we went to his house and did It again and put a 'For Sale' sign on it with his cell number on It

We (the french horns) are most definitely the most insane people in band. People are kind of afraid of us sometimes, actually. One thing that we recently did that was pretty funny: we had to sightread this really hard piece in class. It was way too hard for us to play, so we just hummed the notes into our horns the whole time. No one noticed the whole class and we got away with it ^^
