I read fast, I guess. Like probably other people have said it depends on how interested I am into the book. If I'm really into it I'll finish the whole book in about, eh, 4 -5 hours and around the 300-400 page range. 3nodding But if not, then I shall procrastinate the book for weeks...

For me, it depends on how long the book is, how long the chapters are, how much free time I have, and how big and spaced out the wording is.
For example, Breaking Dawn took me about 3 days because it took me about a half hour to read a chapter (and I stop at chapters, like when I'm in school and the bell rings, I like to stop at a chapter), and I read all day. If it was more spaced out, it would take me longer.

For me it depends on how fast I get into the storyline. Flowers for Algernon I finished in about three hours I loved it instantly.

...birds creep over tin roofs, like criminals with tap shoes... .::Depends on the book and how interested i am::. And what language i read it on, im a slow English reader .__. And also the language in the book, classics takes longer time than fantasy. I read The Art of Racing in the Rain not long ago, i read it on my lunch hour, and it took me 3 days, and mind you, i was eating while reading :b

I'm currently reading the book where all 6 books of The Lord of the Rings are clashed. I'll be reading it for months, since I can't read incredibly, insanely, uberepicfast, and I don't have much time to read. Oh... I se- wait! Anyone like that can read 1008 pages in a few weeks maximum! Not if it's hard to get into, they can't. Most of that time will be spent on the prolouge... 15 pages of boringness. Had it for a week ad a half... Page 5.
Ok, my rant comes to an end. To answer the question, about 1-2 pages a minute. I have a friend my age (I'm 13) and he can read at like 4-5 pages/minute... But then, he's a nerd. *Ahem* Said the guy reading The Lord of the Rings.
^Tebasile^ What about classic fantasy like... The Lord of the Rings?

The fastest I've ever read a book would probably be a day and a half. The book was Because of Winn-Dixie, though, so it wasn't a very thick book. Even so, that was some years ago. Nowadays I find that I'm a slower reader. Even when I'm reading a book that I'm really into without any intteruptions. My mind wanders a lot and I have to go back and reread a sentence or entire paragraph to remember what I've read, which slows me down a lot.

I can usually clear 300-450 pages if I sit down, listen to my iPod, lock my door, and lay on my bed. And that's if I'm really trying. I think I read Breaking Dawn in 3 days, so that should tell you something.

Usually I can finish a book in two days. Thats only when the book is really good. If its a boring book or it doesn't interest me I usually don't read it anymore. I read alot faster if I'm in my room all by myself and my hello kitty stereo sweatdrop is on to my favorite radio station.

I can read fairly quickly depending on how much time I have and how interesting it is. If I have access to a computer, it'll take me longer since I'll be on it most of the time.

Well let's see. I got Eldest on a Saturday and spent the whole day reading it. Finished in twelve hours. 681 page book divided by 720 minutes.... That'd be .94583 Pages a minute according to my calculations. o_o Or 1 page a minute I suppose. xD
I remember being so proud in first grade when I was able to read a Boxcar children book in a day. Heehee. whee
