Ok I've got a little menu-ish thing that needs filling out.
There's Label, Server Address, Nickname, Allow Server to assign a nickname, Anonymous/Registered, Login Name, User Password, Auto-reconnect, Default Channel, Default Subchannel, and Channel Password.

What do I fill in with specific things and what's this " partisus.no-ip.info:24842"?

Label is whatever you want the server to show up as on your personal list of servers. Just name it Paladin TS or something, or Monkey Doodoo Land.
Server Address is the partisus.no-ip.info:24842 thing.
Nickname is self explanatory.
Allow Server to assign a nickname should be off unless you don't want to use your own.
Anonymous/Registered just allows you to specify whether you wish to log in anonymously or as a registered user. You won't be able to log in as a registered user until Partisus or Darc allow you to register, but really there's not much point in worrying about registering fast as right now all that'll allow you to do is have a certain login name that people can only view if they get your info (you can still use whatever nick you want, even that of registered users I believe) and also message other people although nobody ever does that really.
Login Name/User Password are things you setup when you register.
Auto-reconnect just means you will be reconnected automatically if you are booted from the server for some reason.
Default Channel/Subchannel/Channel password can all just be left blank, as everyone just stays in the main channel area right now. They can be used to make you automatically join a certain channel/subchannel though on servers that use them, and some may require a password so that is what that field is there for.

Seeing as I'm typing a ton I'll explain the Sound Input/Output Settings in the Settings menu while I'm at it, and as there's not much to explain.

Output Volume is just how loud you will hear everything coming through TS I believe.
For Voice Send Method you have two choices: You can either push and hold a button to enable TS to start sending sound picked up by your microphone (Push to talk), or you can set TS to automatically start sending when a certain sound level is reached depending on the position of the slider.. thing (Voice Activation). It's best to just use the Push to talk method, as that way you won't end up sending yourself sneezing or something. Obviously it's up to you though.
Local Test just allows you to test your push to talk key (as some keys do not work for more than a fraction of a second)/voice activation level when you click Activate local test mode. The test codec does not really matter, although if you select a higher one you'll get to hear a less crappy version of the sound picked up by your mic.

Thanks. Setting it to anonymous gave me a new thing called Server Password, what is it for?
Also I keep getting an error 'No reply from server. Maybe the server is offline or maybe teamspeak is not running on it'. What's up with that?

That is just there in case the server needs a password, but this one doesn't.
The server is offline right now as Partisus is, and he's the one that runs it. It'll be back up when he gets back on.

Any idea when he gets on usually? I've been trying for the last several hours and it's still not working. sweatdrop

I'm assuming his comp died. And no one would be talking at this hour anyhoo, Rolf. ^_^ He'll be on later. We generally have TS chats on Fridays, so try then.

Yeah, my comp is currently disassembled, and the router has also died, so it may be Saturday before it's back up, but I'm hoping for much sooner. sweatdrop

Okay, a lot of you have this program, therefore you need to use it more.

And all of your "ugly" voices pale in comparison to mine. -prideful stance-

My voice sucks. -.-;

I use it alot. O.o;
However I never stay on for long anymore because anyone who's on doesn't ever talk and I can't bring myself to start up random conversations. sweatdrop

Well, I finally got around to looking into a program that my brother recommended a while ago--Ventrilo. Basically, it's like TS, but it has a simpler GUI, better voice codecs, and it implements Microsoft's TTS. (Text To Speech)

After playing with this for a while, I think it may be a great alternative to TS, since it combines a chatroom thing with voicechat, and with TTS, (which you can turn off if you don't want to hear it) you don't even have to look at the window to see what people are typing!

Only issue I've found so far is that the free version only allows use of one specific UDP port, and I'm not sure if my 3784 is accessible off campus. Ember was going to try testing it, but... his internet... died... sweatdrop

Anyone who knows a way to allow me to change the port or some other solution, especially testing help, would be greatly appreciated. Just look for me on AIM if you feel like helping.

Edit: It would probably help if I gave you the URL, wouldn't it? rolleyes

Okay everyone. We have a TS chat everyweek, we also have an AIM chat to go along with it. Normaly the chat is on a Saturday, but at times it has been on a friday (Also when Tea gets bored she makes a TS/AIM chat >_< wink Well this week its going to be tonight (Saturday) at 8:00 Eastern Time. 7:00 Central, 6:00 Mountan Time, 4:00 Pacific time. It lasts really long depending where you are. I am in Eastern time and it lasts for me for over eight hours at a time, Thats 3:00 here. Well hopefully when decided the time from now on we will post a time and a place for when it is. Also it is best if you have AIM or something that can use AIM like Trillian or AOL. Its where the chat behind the sceens takes place.
