Amara didn't initially notice Helaku's sudden embrace... but as the warmth of his neck warmed the mare she couldn't help but blush ever so slightly. Despite her dark color, Amara could feel the heat rise to her cheeks and knew that there had to be some kind of blush on her face. "I, uh, that is..." She could feel her cheeks warm up even more. "Why am I blushing like this?! the mare thought embarrassingly.

Amara's stammers triggered a bit of panic in the grey stallion. Crap...figures I'd move too fast after not moving at all! Blushing furiously and hoping to all the gods that inhabited Soquili lands that Veloren wasn't spying from the bushes somewhere, he backed up a step or two, bowing his head in embarassment. "I'm sorry...I shouldn't have...I'm so sorry." He wanted to turn and flee, but something kept his hooves stuck firmly to the ground. Pride, perhaps...what was left of it.

"Oh no! Its not your fault I-!" Crap, what was she supposed to say in this situation? Amara couldn't help but look down at her hooves for she still couldn't stop herself from blushing. Not once had she ever felt any affection for any stallion but... she wasn't sure about this sudden change in opinion.
In the darkness, firm golden eyes glimmered at stared down at the "lovely dovey" pair. A grumble escaped the green stallion but he shrugged it off... eventually. It was bound to happen, though he didn't expect it to happen so quickly on his watch. "Kids these days..." Young love was certainly entertaining to watch though, Verloren had to admit that to himself.

Helaku's own fears were forgotten as he watched Amara struggle with herself. Stepping forward again, he laid his neck over hers again, this time pulling her closer. "It's alright...shhh, shhh, it's alright. Don't worry about it yet, Amara...I can wait." And now...I can hope. For now he just settled for being near a mare without flinching, without fearing for his own harm. He owed this mare too much to stumble now.

"I-" The dark colored mare started but found that she couldn't find the words that she wanted to say. She just wasn't sure what to say period. There was one thing that she could say right now though... perhaps they weren't the words Helaku was looking for but perhaps it was enough... for now. Amara looked up at the stallion with her dark red eyes firmly. "Helaku... I- I- I honestly care for you. And I've really cared about you for a long time now." There, she finally said it with firmness and assertiveness. This time, she knew that Helaku would honestly listen to her words and not push her away.

It was enough.
Helaku closed his eyes, fighting against a sudden upwelling of tears from dark gold eyes as he held Amara more tightly. "I think...I have known all along," he said slowly. "I denied it to myself, but I care too...and I'm tired of denying myself. It's starting to hurt more than the cause of the denial itself." A tear managed to escape, trickling down to drip onto Amara's ebony coat. "Help me stay honest with myself?" It was all he could reasonably ask of her, for now. It was all he would ask, until they both felt ready for more.

A strange content look crossed over the mare's face as Helaku's tear fell upon her dark coat. Quietly, she raised her head to his face and licked away part of the wet streak left behind by the stallion's one tear. "Certainly. I will. Helaku." Affection that she'd never felt before warmed the mare's heart and soul, she smiled freely, something she hadn't done in a long, long time.
